I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went with four other people to enjoy some karaoke on a Saturday night. Website says they close at 2:00 am but the woman at the door refused to let us in at 12:00 am. She was very rude and unfriendly. She had no interest in customer service or making any money. Absolutely terrible. We went to the Hookah Lounge next door. The Karaoke could learn a lot from them in regards to how to run a business and treat customers.

This place hasn't been around that long, but has good potential.  The room sizes are pretty big.  I'm hoping the English catalog will become more organized and larger - including adding more of the latest hits.

It was a bit cold in the room at first and bad a very funny smell of wet carpet. But once we were in the groove of things, and the heat was up... We ignored the rest and were appreciative that a private karaoke room was available for use (plus, we had perfume we started spraying all over... Okay now it sounds worse than it was..
    I'm just acting diva'esque).

The song selection was solid-- it was a tad bit messy after the alphabetical order was complete and some random songs were in the back. But, the songs were easy to insert into the karaoke system.

I do think I'll be back. Hopefully they just invest in some fabreeze because the moldy scent was not pleasant!

An important note is that they do allow drinks and food from outside which was awesome!

I came here to celebrate new year with my family and I read the review from Yelp, and thought to give a try to somewhere new and something different. I like the renevation and the interior design of it and it looks very modern. However, they only have 1 restroom and was very dirty and I was reluctant  to use it until I reach home:(

The negative: no service bell like how they have in Taiwan, if you need help, you have to go all the way to the front entrance. The selection of the songs was very limited and not easy to access, the only way to select/request a song is to use the computer. After requesting like 30 songs, the computer froze which means we have to re-request all the songs which we didn't like at all.

I am ready to explore somewhere better than this.

Came here a few weeks ago with Mike L. and a few friends to sing karaoke. The story goes, came to bowl but ended up singing our hearts out to karaoke. What can I say? We're Asian!

There was 5 of us that night in one of the medium sized rooms. It got a bit cramped but we ended up paying like $20 per person for 4+ hours of fun. Came back a week later and got the same size room but this time there was only 3 of us, still got charged the same price. So the moral of this story is that it's not the size of your party, it's the size of the room that matters.

They just opened in July I believe so song selection is pretty weak. It took us about 2 hours to clean out the entire English catalog which included lots of random 80s hits, boy band numbers, and Lady Gaga. The only Kpop song was the Wonder Girls song "Nobody" and I don't think I saw any Jpop. All this just means 90% of their music selection is Chinese. Lots of mandarin and even some canto hits. So it's cool if you have some members in your party that wanna whip out some Jay Chou but most of the folks in our party weren't down with the Cpop so it was lost on us. Sad!

Song selection was slightly difficult  to navigate because the computer system was also in Chinese so it takes some trial and and error if you can't read. There is no alcohol served here but I doubt anyone will care if you sneak in some liquid courage. It's still a new place so you can tell they're ironing out the details but overall a good time was had by all on both nights.

This place was a pleasant surprise.  We had intended on going bowling (the Brunswick Zone is in the same complex at Carolier Mall) but decided out of curiosity to check out "THE KARAOKE" just a few doors down.  The place is small, but for those seeking a decent Asian-centric karaoke place in New Jersey, this is more than adequate.   Being that they opened only 4 months ago, the interior is still quite new.  The sound proofing is sufficient and there are around 8(?) individual rooms large enough to accommodate 5 people comfortably.   The selection is comprised mostly of Chinese titles with a few popular top 40/indie hits thrown in for good measure (I was able to find a few new Girls Aloud and Franz Ferdinand tunes!).  The songs are picked through a rather primitive windows program. Unfortunately for English speakers the process of choosing English songs is a bit cumbersome as artist information in their database isn't complete and the majority of songs can only be chosen by their song titles.  This looks like something that can easily be fixed in due time.  The place is BYOB and at around 6 bucks an hour per person (this will depend on your party size) it's pretty reasonable.   Now instead of making an ass of yourself at the bowling alley, you can do just as well at a fraction of the cost and no risk of injuring your back/shoulder/arm/face, etc.  Highly recommended!
