I wandered in on a rainy weekday rush hour with a craving for a dosa. Â The restaurant was empty (it had a few customers when I left). Â I ordered the dahi vada for an appetizer and the masala dosa. Â The vada was too firm and cold, and the overall taste of the dish was just okay - it needed a lot of tamarind chutney which is a bad sign. Â The huge dosa came out overcooked - not burned, but too dark. Â The masala vegetable filling was nice. Â I was very disappointed in the sambar and coconut chutney, which are of paramount importance when eating dosas! Â There was an orange-colored chutney (maybe Methi/Fenugreek?) which was pretty good. Â If the dosa and condiments had been top notch, this place would be the bargain of the century at $4.99 for the dosa. Â I give this establishment two stars for the few things that were okay and for the service, which was very friendly and attentive. Â With the multitude of Indian restaurants in the area, if you don't serve perfect food it's easy to go to other places that do!
Review Source:The service was good, even though the servers were the most knowledgable about the menu. Â Ordered, hyderabadi dum biryani chicken and mirchi ka salan, some pakora etc. The food was not to my mark. Felt a lot of spices/masala masking the actual taste of the items. Hyderabadi Dum Biryani was hopeless and gave me instant heart-burn. Pakoras seemed to have been re-fried couple of times and was way too oily.
- I would not go back unless management or cook changes.
