Karma Sports Bar

My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate our friends' graduating from school last night. We arrived a little early and there was still a reunion going on. We were politely asked to come back between 9:30p and 10p when the area will be prepped for the club portion. Not a problem for us. The men working as a bouncers and security were very polite.

When we came back the music was on, lights dimmed, and we were allowed in to get our stamp because cover will be charged from 11p on. There were also $3 drink specials going on till 11p (score!). After that the drinks were about $8 each. I had a margarita and an Alien Secretion, both very tasty. Boyfriend had the A.M.F and Electric Fruit Punch. Both were very good too! The bartender was very friendly, quick, and professional.

I would say for the only nightclub (as far as I know of) in Hilo this place is pretty nice. Had I worn better shoes and not had a move to pack for the next day we may have stayed longer. There's always next time!

Best bar in Hilo ever! On Tuesday the drinks are just $3. The sushi on Thursday is delicious and the drinks are perfect! I love the choya. It's $20 for a bottle-- what a bargain! Great DJ's too! :)

So this bar only gets a second star from me because it offers things this town needs. It is a dance club, they do serve alcohol, they offer a 18 and over night once a week (kill me now). The music is mainly hard core R&B. Those are the good things.
They charge a door charge (WHAT?!?! IN HILO?) the drinks are 1/2 sized in plastic cups for double the price. averages 7-10 bucks for a well drink in a 6oz dixi. It was fairly clean and well staffed. I hear the local gay population goes there. All I really saw was a mixed crowd at best. I think it's more of a situation where the options are so limited it's the closest thing to a dance club so the gay goes out of responsibility to support dance and music LOL If your in Hilo, and really bored need a place to get dressed up to watch college folk duggie, just don't blame me.
