    Wine list was great.
    Service was awesome & friendly.
    Prices are fair.
Located in downtown Littleton, can easily bounce from place to place.
Good parking in the back of the facility.

My only suggestion, and it not a complaint, is maybe more couches & comfy chairs.. other than restaurant style tables & chairs.

Def will be back here again, as I had a great experience & a wonderful time.

This is a great little wine bar....It makes you fell like you are at "Cheers" except its wine.
The owners and the all the staff are fantastic and a really good Happy Hour
Just wish it had more eats so we could stay longer.....if so a real 5 star experience

    We loved Kate's!

It's a cute, cozy little wine bar, with a great happy hour (on both wine *and* munchies!)

Our little group of 6 sat in a corner, in a homey banquette with pillows and comfortably (and dimly) lit.  We shared a few bottles of wine, some cheeses and meats, and I think I even recall some Baked Brie.  The wines were good and varied, and the server was ready with some suggestions based on what we told him about our palettes.  The cheeses were, as most cheeses are, pretty good, but on the pricey side (Not all apps are Happy Hour priced.)  Stuff a little more cheese on that board!

I'm very much into my "Wine and Cheese" phase, and always looking for someplace to indulge.  Kate's is on that list!

I tried Kate's because it's a great Friday happy hour meeting spot no matter what side of the Metro Area you're coming from or going to.
I met a couple of friends there and we thoroughly enjoyed happy hour!  Kate's offers great HH specials ($4 glasses of wine, inexpensive apps) and home-style seating.
The bar and seating area were both packed and I know why: fabulous, efficient, friendly service from the waitstaff AND great sized appetizers and generous pours of primo vino.
Thanks, Kate's!  Keep up the great work!

I have been to Kate's a number of times and love this cozy, friendly and delightful gathering place. The Happy Hour ($4 wine) is a good deal. The folks who work there are invariably informative and fun. It is a great atmosphere for meeting people, sit at the bar and you will be drawn into conversation. I highly recommend Kate's for a great beginning or ending for a romantic dinner date.

The only reason for the lack of a fifth star - the small plates are over priced for what is offered. For $12 I expect more than six crackers, a few slices of cheese and eight grapes. A word of advice to the owners - You are making your money on the wine - be generous with the appetizers. Keep me nibbling and I'll keep drinking. If I get hungry I am headed elsewhere for dinner.

    Bravo for opening up an intimate and quaint shop that gives you personalized service;

It's a great stepping just off of the strip and having a beverage or two.

The only thing that prevented me from giving it five stars was the price. Some of us can't afford to shell out  $10+ for a glass of wine. There are a few wines under that mark but most people like getting a Cadillac ride at a Pinto price.

Went here for the first time to celebrate a friends birthday. Was really looking forward to a wonderful experience considering the other reviews, the location  and the concept. When I arrived the birthday girl and her other 8 or 9 guests were already there. It took a full 15 minutes to get asked what I wanted to drink.  It was a Monday night, not very busy except for our group. I tasted the happy hour specials and was not impressed so I asked our waiter about what the whites on the menu were like and his response was he didn't know because all whites tasted the same to him. How can you work in a wine bar and not be familiar with the product??! The whole experience from not receiving prompt service to the lack of knowledge left a sour taste and unfortunately I will not be returning even though the concept and ambiance have so much potential.

Oh my goodness! Kate's Wine Bar is soooo cute! Quaint atmosphere right in the heart of downtown Littleton. We went with another couple and all did the tasting flight for $15. You can pick three choices of any wine you want and they serve you about a half a glass of each. Mother and daughter own the place and it really does have the family run business feel to it. Great service and wine knowledge. Would be perfect for a night out on a snowy Colorado evening to cozy up in the little cottage and sip on some delicious wine. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, great service, and delicious wine.

Whatta gem!  Owner Janey and her daughter passionately manage this sweet spot in the quaint Historic Downtown Littleton District.  Intimate atmosphere, super friendly staff, yummy wine and wonderful selection, delicious brie, great happy hour... what else could you want?  Go!  You won't be disappointed!

Lovely little wine bar with excellent selection, plus a full bar, AND a great happy hour: $4 wines and beers! We sat with several friends for the entire happy hour, had appetizers, and drinks, and the tab was around $100. Not terrible!

The appetizers are pretty limited, enough to keep you nibbling while drinking, but nothing to fill you up....so I recommend this as a spot to start or end the night, and plan for dinner elsewhere. If you are up for just a nibble and sip, though, you cannot go wrong here. Great place to determine if your date is worth continuing. :)

The way this place could earn 5 stars would perhaps be to expand the food options a slight bit more. The meat and cheese plates were a little small. The baked brie was delicious, though not terribly pretty. The service was excellent. When we paid our tab, they were ok with me just saying "Put X on this card, Y on this card, and the balance on this card." so they were pretty accommodating to our group of 12.

Adorable little wine bar!  I tried out Kate's for happy hour with a friend a few Fridays ago, and we loved it.  The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious.  They have a great selection of wines, and some beers and mixed drinks as well.  Only a few glasses are available at happy hour pricing, but it's not their cheapest wine, so for $4 you actually get a really great deal.  They've got a nice variety of appetizers as well-- we enjoyed the artichoke jalapeño dip.

Another favorite spot in one of my favorite neighborhoods!

Cool place. Totally dead though for a Saturday night. I can see it being fun if it were full like it should be on a Sat. night. We basically closed the bar. I would go back. Wine selection was nice. Beer selection was good as well but not a lot to choose from.

Tried this place out with a fellow Yelper a few months ago for HH. Had a great time catching up with a new friend and trying out a new place. It's a former house in the downtown Littleton area that is now converted to a wine bar. Small tables, HH prices on wines, not much in the way of food, mostly appetizers. Good service.

I enjoyed everything about Kate's, except parking. The location of the house that Kate's inhabits is near The Tavern in downtown Littleton and a couple of other businesses. It was a bit difficult to find parking, but other than that, just an overall cute place. If I'm in Littleton again, I'd definitely stop here.

Great romantic spot. Very good meat & cheese platter and a huge brownie for dessert.  Wish the wine list included a few more Pino's by the glass but overall a great experience.

Mmm cheese plate! Right off of Littleton high street opposite the coors building is Kates Wine bar in a small building that might be easily missed. Unassuming and meek in appearance with a cozy feeling are the welcoming twinkling lights. A fantastic place for drinks after work, and a wonderful wine selection! They also have a nice selection of appetizers including the delicious cheese plate, you'll love it! Really nice personal staff too, very knowledgable. I'd go out of my way to visit this place after work for happy hour :) Is lovely!

Happy Hour= $4 glasses of great wine. Choices: two white and two red options that change frequently. Take that and add friendly staff, brie baked to perfection, and a cute/relaxed atmosphere, and you've got one of my favorite after-work or casually-meet-up-with-one-or-two friends places. Not sure on their wifi status, but if I lived in the neighborhood, I'd probably go there to caress my keyboard in lieu of a good coffee shop. It has a similar vibe.

Parking can be a pain since they only have three (?) dedicated parking spots, but a short walk is not a problem for me. Also: no one expects you to be a wine connoisseur, and they do have a full bar for those extra stressful work days.

I really love this place. My friends and I have made it one of our "spots" if you will; great happy hour prices and choices, for $4.00 a glass, good nibble tapas and we're never rushed. It's very cozy and relaxing..intimate and perfect for conversations. A true favorite of mine!

This little wine bar is excellent for a romantic glass of wine with your love, or a fun relaxing glass of wine with a friend.
It is cute, small and quaint.
I love the quiet and private atmosphere.
The service excellent, and they get to know you and say HI when you come in.
I love the personal service they give you and the quiet NOT RUSHED staff.
You can't get a better wine bar than this!

This is one of my favorite places in Downtown Littleton. Right off Main Street, it can be overlook but once visited you will never forget it.

They have a fantastic happy hour and there are no wine snobs there. If you are new to wine or just enjoy a class, stop in. Ask questions and try everything. The employees there are wonderful and knowledgeable.

It is a cozy bar perfect for meeting up with a friend or a date.

Tried this place out on a Friday night and really enjoyed myself.  Went with the pinot noir that was on special and it was delicious.  Everyone there was super nice and friendly.  I like that it was really low-key and not pretentious in the slightest.  Both the artichoke/jalapeno dip and the brownie were both pretty good.  It would have been nice to have a bit more selection in terms of food, but I was happy with everything I did get.  What a find in lovely downtown Littleton!

A few of us were there yesterday afternoon for my cousin's Birthday.  My cousin and her husband go there about once a month and she wanted us to check it out.  We got there and were competing with the Ladies Nite Out in Littleton so there were crowds of ladies but not bad.  We had 12 people in our party and they were very accommodating.  It took us awhile to get our first round of drinks, but the owner was the only one there at first.  We had some wine (of course) and ordered appetizers.  The Brie was really good and so was the artichoke and jalapeno cheese dip.  The cheese and crackers tray had proschiutto which is a big plus in my book.  I also had a Kate's Special to drink which is gin and ginger ale.  It was smooth and refreshing and I think I have found a new favorite drink.  We will hopefully be back for the Ladies Nite Out next year.

This is a cute little place just off Main Street a few blocks from the light rail station with plenty of parking nearby. I like the cozy, friendly vibe, the low-key decor, the creative wine list (which apparently changes every few weeks -- a plus in my book) and the friendly service.

I know the TV has been a bone of contention among Yelp reviewers, but honestly, I like being able to enjoy a  high-end glass of wine while watching the Rockies game. They don't even turn the sound on. The TV is in a corner and you don't even have to look at it from most of the seats in the place. If I wanted to chug Coors during a Rockies game, I'd be at a sports bar, but I happen to be a sports fan who doesn't drink beer. Sit facing the other way, listen to the blues music playing in the bar and calm the hell down while the rest of us watch the game in peace!

    I love this place!

Super cute and cozy with exposed brick, white Christmas lights in the windows, very friendly service, reasonably priced bottles and glasses of wine, and unlike other reviewers, I found the food great!

I had a cup of tomato basil soup which was excellent, and, even better, baked brie with brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans. It was served with apples and crackers and it was p-p-perfect.

This is a cute, little wine bar. They have $4 glasses of select wine during their happy hour 4-7pm. And, it's fairly easy to find parking here.

But, the food is pretty bad. That shouldn't deter you, you'll probably be going for the wine, not the munchies. But, store-bought hummus and stale flat bread & crackers just wasn't doin' it for me.

I dunno. We didn't have a bad experience here, it just wasn't particularly good or memorable. We left after one glass and found somewhere else in Downtown Littleton to hang for the evening. We probably won't be back.

I have rarely gone to as nice of a place on as lousy of a date as the one on which I discovered this little gem.

The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, and the guidance provided by the staff through their voluminous wine list was appreciated. I had some Spanish red (I like it dry). I would be just the perfect place for a nice conversation with a sophisticated companion--which I lacked that evening.

I think I can set those memories aside for another visit. I suggest trying it out with someone who won't ask for white zinfandel on ice.

Stopped by for a quick glass and cheese plate before dinner at Opus. Two interesting reds at $4/glass for happy hour. Great, cozy ambiance. The flat screen playing a college basketball game seemed out of place, but I can see using that to get the beer drinking husbands to join their wives. Biggest complaint is that the glasses used for reds are too small. I typically won't order wine by the glass if I see them fill a smallish glass to the top. There's something to be said for swirling your vino. I expect it at Olive Garden, not at a wine bar. But I want to see this place succeed, so I'll probably give it another shot.

How did we not know this place was here???  Great happy hour prices.  My friend, whose wife is a gourmet cook, was unimpressed by the prepackaged hummus but I didn't try it.   Everyone loved the cheese plate and I thought it was a good price.

This is a small little place and exactly what you need when your tired of the corporate bs.  The owners are on site and you just get a warm feeling from this place. This place is small so be warned during busy times.  The red wines by the glass are limited but if you see the size you will know why.  I love there wine flight.  Any 3 wines and add cheese and crackers for 3 bucks.  Total $15.00. I love it!!!  They do some nice little extras like chocolate with there port and pecans on the brie plate.  For such a small shop they do a awesome job.  Good wine, good people and reasonable prices for the wine.

My friend and I met here after work on a Friday.  How nice to have such a cute little place right here in Littleton!  They were busy, and the service was poor, but we weren't in a rush.  I'll go back again.

A group of friends and I, found our way to Kate's after deciding the music at McKinner's was too loud. We were pleasantly greeted by the cozy and quiet atmosphere that this small bar provides. My friends and I all agreed that the wine menu was not just impressive due to its variety, but also by the price range that could meet most people's budgets. We picked a bottle of Malbec that ran $22. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, ready to talk wine with any of us. I definitely recommend this bar for those looking for a quiet place to go and relax and enjoy the company of others. I also suggest trying new wines and not just going with what is familiar. I look forward to visiting again during the week for happy hour.

This is a cozy place in a very ideal spot of downtown Littleton. The building is small but definitely has a nice ambiance and friendly service. I was also very impressed by some of the cleanest restrooms I have seen in a while! They keep the entire place sparkling and tidy.
I was very impressed with the two wines I had (an Argentinian Malbec and a French Sauvingon Blanc) and the prices were very reasonable. The small cheese plate was great with the red and I had the Bruscetta dip with the white. It was all really flavorful!
I read other reviews before going and while I agree with one previous review about the TV, I sat right next to it and I did not find it distracting. Although college football isn't what I have in mind when I go to a wine bar. I guess I would agree that it should go or at least set it to show classic movies on TCM all day.
Regardless of that though, I will definitely come back to this place!

Great little wine bar in Old Town Littleton. Excellent stop over before a large dinner at the Melting Pot. Great ambiance and cozy feel.

They let us try two wines we were interested in before we picked a bottle, and had great advice. Full bar available for the Rum & Coke crowd (like my husband).

The Artichoke & Jalapeño dip is fantastic, creamy and not too spicy.

    Will definitely be going back.

Kate's is a cute little wine bar.  We went during happy hour and got the great deals.  Their large cheese and cracker plate was delicious and their jalapeno artichoke dip was spicy but not too hot.  The mother & daughter owners were friendly and had great wine advice.

Oh, Kate's. You're like the girl who is very pretty, but just doesn't know how to work what she's got. I like the location, and the wine was good (and their toasted brie was delicious!), but...I can drink wine at home, and I come to a wine bar for a certain experience. Here, Kate's, are my recommendations for ambiance, and ones I make in your best interest:

    1) Turn off the TVs. Please. You can go to any other bar for TV. No TV. You can get some pretty conversational art instead.
    2) Turn the lights down a wee bit. My boyfriend is way too visible. Don't get me wrong, I love looking at him, but I ESPECIALLY love looking at him in the warm glow of candlelight with a glass of good wine. Rachet up the romance!
    3) Invest in some fancier glasses. Really, they don't make a gigantic difference, but again...ambiance.
    4) A little more grace in pouring the wine...show us the bottle, tell us a bit about it, and please, please, pour a TASTE first; don't just pour it.

I think these are the little things that have kept me from coming back...so please, Kate's, I'd hate to see you go, and while I appreciate some of your down-home charm (and the charming tribute to family), I just...would like to give you a slight makeover.
