I decided to go to this place because I was headed down to Richmond for a concert. When I walked into the restaurant the place smelled like either propane or overcooked cabbage I could not figure it out. We then had to stand at the hostess desk were it was empty and wait for 5 mins before anyone even acknowledge us even though a few servers saw us waiting there. Once we were finally seated we were greeted by a friendly server and for her this is the only reason this place receives 2 stars. I ordered a steak medium rare which is how a steak is meant to be enjoyed and my wife ordered something with steak and gravy basically. Well 30 mins later the food finally comes out so I knew it was not going to be good. When I cut into my steak it was well done, I was not happy but I was in a rush for a concert so I decided to just eat it. The manager never bothered to come ask how we were doing or how the food was. If I would have had more time I would have sent my food back. I left this place being very unhappy and disappointed. If I lived in the area I would NOT go back.
Review Source:Do not go there! Â for St. Patrick's day or ever. No pints of beer in pint glasses inside or outside, only 12 oz plastic cups for the same cost as pints. No bottle beer they will only pour it plastic cups The service is slow at 2 pm with a 1/2 full restaurant it took 15 minutes to get a a small beer in a plastic cup . You do not short change your customers and service for a holiday.
Review Source:I am a regular and this is usually my to go spot if I ever can't decide where to go. Mostly the drink specials are great, $1.50 beers on tap for Bud Light, Miller Light and yuengling. Â Food is reasonable some items are better then others. Sandwiches and burgers are discounted as well. If it gets too crowded the service suffers. I prefer to sit at the bar because they can only go so far out of site. However sometimes when at a table if you get a server that can't handle busy times you could wait awhile. I sometimes order two drinks at a time so I don't have this issue. The Sunday Brunch is great and for the prices it's hard to beat. Food is good nothing over the top but you will leave satisfied. The $2.50 Bloody Mary Bar is a great price. They bring you the vodka in your cup and you can make your own to how you like it. My favorite thing about this place.
Review Source:Located below the Aloft hotel in Richmond Keagan's is a fun place. Â It has 2 sides - 1 smoking the other non-smoking. Â This is kind of weird for folks (like me) who come from places where smoking is banned in resaurants and bars (at least currently). Â There is a great selection of beers to choose from and the food is pretty dang tasty. Â I was very surprised with the quality of the food. Â This place can get busy later int he week so if you stay at the Aloft - ask for a room that doesnt over look the pub. Â They have nice outdoor seating as well.
Review Source:We went here last night to see the Cowboys and the Redskins play (not each other). Â We got a table, and waited at least 15 minutes for a waitress to come by and clean it from the previous patrons. After we got a waitress (and she said she'd clean the table, she never returned). Â We finally found a waitress to serve us. Â She only wiped down 3/4 of it anyway. Â There were at least 4 empty tables there, so that's not the explanation. Â We ordered, and they brought out our ordered two flavors of wings - 1 flavor was all legs, and the other was all wings...uncool if you wanted buffalo, but prefer the wings. Â I was there for 2 hours and only had two beers because our server never came by. Â I bussed our table (removed the dishes) to another table. Â We had a stack of 5 cans/bottles of empties (1 for each of us) while we were desperately waiting for service.
I won't go here again. Â The service was awful.
The place is cool, in a neat location in Short Pump. The appetizers we had were soft pretzels and veg spring rolls. The taste was good, but they skimped a little on the quantity. My wife had the fish & chips, which was greasy & mushy...a 2. I had the steak boxy, which was very good....a 4. The service was very good, so I think we would give it another shot.
Review Source:It seems that the dress code mandates the waitresses wear kilt/school girl skirts. Â Also, they serve very cheap beers everyday between 11am and 7pm. Â As a result, the crowd is going to be heavily male, and fairly homogenous. Â There is some outdoor seating, along with an outdoor bar, and televisions which would be nice, except they are impossible to see on sunny days, which is when you would most likely be sitting outside. Â
Also, on two occasions we found that the television programming was inflexible. Â We tried to get a game put on a TV that no-one else was watching but us, and were told that that game was "assigned" to that particular television and could not be changed. Â This is a major strike in my book. Â Must be another mandate.
The menu is very standard, so it will do in a pinch but I would not go out of the way to go here for the food. Â I imagine, the biggest draw is the skirts and the cheap beer.
