    Gone are the days of peanut-shrouded floors and collage-splashed walls at Knuckles. The new digs at Knuckles are a better match to the sophisticated and stylish Hyatt brand (although I do love shelling me some peanuts) while till keeping true to it's sports bar persona. This is definitely one of the best places to checkout any of the latest sports. Knuckles features over 20 flat screens and even the booths come complete with their own flatscreen tv. Knuckles boasts a nice fireplace and an oversized bar along the main wall.

    Knuckles' menu features standard pub classics with many seafood selections. We noshed on some chicken nachos, calamari and a couple glasses of wine and beer. The menu stated the nachos were supposed to come with a three cheese blend, but it when it came out to the table, there was nothing more than canned cheese-smothered chips. Come on Hyatt, you gotta serve real cheese! The salsa was good and very fresh. The calamari was pretty good with very generous portions. We both came in very hungry and still couldn't finish off the nachos and calamari.

    Cool hangout spot with wall-to-wall screens and a fun atmosphere. I like the mixed crowd (twenty-something's, thirty-something's all the way up sixty plus) and the relaxed vibe. Can't wait to re-visit and sample a few more menu selections.

    An employee saw that my parents and I were confused as to whether or not we were supposed to just sit or to be seated. Granted it is a sports bar, it is the hyatt so there must be some order right? Wrong. My Mom was blocking the entrance and I noticed that an employee who I learned was a waitress/hostess was trying to get in so I tell my Mom to move and I apologize to the lady. I hoped that this lady was going to help us but no she just walks away and talks to the bartender, leaving us at the door. She never makes eye contact with me and ignores my family all together. This irked me the entire night.

    Annoyed, I look to find another waiter/waitress to help us. Luckily an asian guy (sorry I forgot his name) comes to the rescue and seats us. After my family orders,  I notice that the lady who ignored us earlier is now happily serving other tables. She seats a group that comes in and is taking their orders. Good for her, she finally found a people she wanted to serve.

    We get our food and it is pretty good. We order:
    Gilroy garlic fries = flavorful even though they look like it is just french fries with a spoonful of garlic mixed in

    Candied Garlic Chicken Wings = Looked good but didn't try it sorry!
    Spicy Orange BBQ Chicken Wings = not too spicy, had a little kick .
    - the wings were a good size, not like wing stop.

    Crab Cake Sliders = I am not a seafood queen or anything but I was happy with my order. There were actual pieces of crab in it and they were not stingy.

    Our server was great, he came to make sure that the we were happy with our food and checked on us regularly.

    Anyway the atmosphere is wonderful for anyone who is interested in watching any game, there are TVs at the booths but there are many other flatscreens scattered everywhere else. They have a popcorn machine and peanuts near the back of the bar. I appreciated that they had a billiards table but don't expect a high quality one. This table is smaller and all the cue sticks are destroyed at the top so you don't need chalk. My Dad and I played a game before going back to the room.

    Overall it was a good place to get food or drinks but the servers will make or break your experience. I truly hope that lady doesn't serve you.

    I haven't eaten here, since before the remodel. I kinda miss the peanut shells all over the floor (is this my hick side?)  So, it looks like a true sports bar with a nice contemporary feel.  We arrived early like 4:30pm-ish. It was pretty empty. Off to a rough start, our waiter was surly. Obviously, he missed the Hyatt customer service class.  We grabbed some popcorn which was burned and oversalted. The peanuts were seriously stale.  So, we order dinner, as I grab a much friendlier waitress. We decided to order the fish tacos, since she said it's the #1 most ordered item on the menu.  Mr. Grumpy returns with our food. We can smell the garlic fries, which do look really good (we chose to upgrade for .50 cent more from chips).  The tacos look nice, with plenty of pico de gallo. As we all bite in, the smoke starts coming out of our ears. Our friend's eyes start to water. Holy Hell, someone in the kitchen got a little carried away with the jalapeno!  My tongue was numb, and I scraped off the rest of the pico de gallo. The fish tasted fishy. I know that sounds weird, but fresh fish shouldn't taste fishy.  It was Cod and I didn't like it all, because I'm guessing it was either old or frozen.
    The place grew very noisy, too.  Yes, it's a Sports Bar, and it was hopping by 5:30pm  I couldn't hear my friend, from across the table. So, if you like noisy bars with middle-aged people (which we are), beer and burgers (and I wish I had ordered that), this place is for you.  Figure about $20.00 per person for beer or tacos with a beer.  If you like super hot food, and have a cast-iron tongue, go for the tacos. You'll love 'em. I didn't.

    Waiting for someone to take just my drink order seemed to be an eternity and trying to get an answer on how big portions were was like a bad game of charades.  Even my jalapenos were the wrong kind for what I ordered but a simple correction helped solve it.  What was annoying is that the menu called for three different cheese blends but it was just canned cheese sauce, and for being a bar, it was annoying to hear the kid crying in the background.  However, it was reasonable for a hotel-chain sports bar and in the end, service seemed to pick up.

    I came to this bar with my girlfriend because we were looking for a bar in the area to watch a 49ers playoff game. As expected it was pretty expensive, but there were plenty of TVs and the sound was good. The food was bar food, and heart attack-inducing.

    Stayed at the Hyatt and stopped in here for a late night snack.  It was exactly what I was looking for, but nothing more!  Plenty of TVs, lots of different sports playing.  Service as slow.  No one seemed to have a sense of urgency.  REMINDER - If you are in the service industry and call yourself a server, show a sense of urgency and SERVE your guests.  It's the difference between a 10% and 50% tip with me.

    This bar is good and we love it that its just in the hotel. It's a typical ultimate sports bar but the food is so so. Everyone had a great time here especially after our team bldg events.

    The potato skins were surprisingly delicious.... don't order them if you don't like fried potato boats of a lot of cheese.  Oh and do ask for a side of ranch if you like that sort of thing.  The nachos weren't lovely at all... serve cold, with thin chips, two kinds of cheese, melted and a liquidy cheese that doesn't harden, cold cubed chicken, guacamole that I didn't try but the consistency made it look not housemade you get the gist.  The wedge was edible but lacked crisp bacon bits, instead they were soft, cold and chewy, blue cheese crumbles were fine but the blue cheese dressing a bit generic. However, I am thankful that they serve food later than most places in the 831.

    Latest visit--3.75 stars. The fish tacos were actually quite good--much better than the ones with heavily-battered, deep-fried "fish" they used to serve. And my buddy, who's a bit of a picky eater, loved his boar ribs. The service could be a bit better at times, but hey, it's a sports bar, not a five star restaurant.

    Solid bar food.  Stayed at the Hyatt for three weeks during a business trip and stopped by this place for drinks and snacks with coworkers.  I remember enjoying the artichoke clam chowder.

    My husband and I were staying at the Hyatt and stopped in for dinner. The atmosphere was relaxed, just the way we like it. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The food was good, but kinda pricey.
    We'll be back. This is a great place to just hang out, enjoy a beer and watch a game or play a game of pool.

    Its a sports bar people so don't expect alot, but they have pretty good tasting food for a Sports Bar and a little more edgy items than most. They have a lot of TV's to watch the games and usually have a couple different events on. They have good wings, not the best i have ever tasted, but have a lot of other options like fried calamari, steak salad, and nachos with BBQ brisket...Yummm! They even have personal TV's for you at your booth. Check it out, order a beer and enjoy the game.

    Have been here several times, sometimes for drinks, sometimes for eats.

    Overall, I thought the food was underwhelming, but we really liked the buffalo wings. They were the one thing that stood out, so occasionally we'd go just for them. Last time we went, the wings were UNDERCOOKED. It was pretty disappointing. It turned me off wings in general for awhile. Don't really want to go back here anytime soon.

    Also, the "California cheesesteak" on the menu is an insult to anyone from Philadelphia. It's also not good. My significant other (who is not a Philly native, so he doesn't know any better) ordered this. Way to ruin avocados by wasting them on this mess.

    You'd think pub food would be pretty straightforward, but it just wasn't very good here, particularly the garlic chicken (way too garlicky) and the fish tacos (completely bland fish). The nachos and sliders rounded out our underwhelming sampler meal.

    The waitress was a little flustered (probably not accustomed to the blunt talk of East Coast patrons) but she tried hard to make us happy, going so far as to comp the fish tacos. Despite the fact that we had basically eaten the entire dish. And that fact that we even stated that we should be obligated to pay for them. But she insisted, so we just made sure to leave a generous tip. Kudos to her, but we were hoping for better from a restaurant connected to a Hyatt Regency.

    Sat at the bar.  Decent service-bartender a flake but eventually got the drinks right.

    A lot of TV's and free popcorn what more can you want.

    There were a lot of people eating in the bar.  Everyone looked happy. Not really busy for a Saturday evening.

    I've stopped and started this review about three times. I finally figured it out why. I just can't get excited about writing this.

    Party of 4 of us, $99.00 dollars later, but not a memorable eating experience.
    Chicken Nachos, Pork Quesadilla,  Artichoke and Chicken pizza, and a Cheeseburger  with saute mushrooms and Garlic Fries.
    Beer and Margaritas. Popcorn munchies.

    Basic Bar food.

    The place has been remodeled since my last visit and the tables now are shoulder to shoulder. Nice way to get to know your neighbor. Flat screen TV's cover the walls. The place was pretty crowded, but not a lot of energy in the place.

    The wait staff was very nice, Not pushy or full of attitude, just pleasant.

    Meh..it was ok.

    Got to the Hyatt late Friday night.  I just wanted to eat dinner in peace and sleep as fast as possible.  I ordered a take out hamburger.  When the server asked how would I like my burger done I asked for medium rare.  It's a $12 burger and she asked how I liked it done so I assumed it would be fresh.  Nope.  You know what happens when you assume...

    My order was done fast.  That's good.  It was in fact Medium rare like I asked.  That's good.  But I believe it was a frozen patty at some point as it tasted horrible.  It was tough to chew through which should not have been the case.

    2 stars for the Gilroy garlic fries, but at $12 for a frozen burger I would have been better off at In and Out.

    The only reason you would come to this place is if you were staying at the hotel and needed a place to watch a game. Yes there have lots of flat screens here.....but this place is scary.

    Way too many scary foreign hotel guest, creepy bar tenders, overpriced bar food, and way too bright. The one pool table is so over priced its insane!

    They get one star for having plenty of TVs to catch any game you want and 1/2 a star for free peanuts. The other 1/2 star is for the special speaker table system they have.

    Man, talk about a giant salt lick of a place. I think I'm still retaining water from the buffalo salt lick wings and salt nachos with a side of salt lick beer. Great staff and very accomodating place but do not get bar food here, it's going to give you a heart attack from the sodium content.

    Since the remodel you can see all the screens when you go to watch a game. The bar stools suck! Uncomfortable bar stools should be illegal. Why have a back if leaning back on it makes you feel like you're going to tip the thing over. Myeh...

    I can't stop talking about their $5 bloody mary's all day Sunday. That's pretty much my favorite thing to do on a Sunday besides getting a massage or getting a massage while drinking a Bloody Mary.

    The food from the new menu wasn't great.

    Very, very impressed with this place.  I live in the city and have been to the Knuckles there, THIS PLACE BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER!

    The bad:
    -TERRIBLE nachos; they had the fake costco(Que Bueno) cheese that looks like its been processed by satan himself;
    -The bartender was a little curt and not very attentive, but who gives a &*^$, it's a bar, all he needs to do is give me beer and food;

    The highlights:
    -Almost 20 TVs with 7 different Direct TV boxes and two Comcast boxes.  Meaning, you can get EVERY game.
    -The ability to change any TV to any station; you don't get that weird fight over how many TVs change channels.
    -Since there are so many different games on, they provide a few sound boxes(not really sure how to explain these) there are 7 different stations that you can choose from, each station is hooked up to a cable box and you can then hear that channel/game.  They are pretty much wireless speakers with different tuners, which is amazing!
    -Pool Table
    -Free popcorn and peanuts
    -A pour your own beer table, where you get a choice between coors light and longboard lager(at least while i was there); they charge by the ounce;
    -Beer specials throughout the week;
    -Pretty awesome happy hour;

    I was lucky enough to be staying at the hotel, as a regency member, and they provided me with a 50% off card for the whole week i was staying.  I am not sure if it was supposed to, but they kept discounting everything, both booze and food.

    I can get pretty roudy in there between sports fans and conference goers.  Nothing out of the ordinary for a sports bar though.

    Q: Who walks into a historical sports bar located ON a golf course and asks the bartender IF he knows how to make an Arnold Palmer?

    A: The same gal that can only offer one of the BIG wigs, at work,  a color crayon to write with because all of her pens are unavailable - yours, truly (and, that's why they love me).

    Oh well, the bartender got a kick out of that one, and even put extra cherries in the Shirley Temple I ordered for my friend's daughter (she's only 10). Yes, kiddos and adult kiddos can come in here, get some free popcorn (not stale, either) and play a little Ms. Pacman. Yeah!

    Nice enough sports bar loaded with flat screens, a pool table, and video games... all on some pretty nice digs.

    I so wanted to like this place more. I love sports bars especially ones with a zillion flat screens across two opposite walls. That was nice. Even though the TVs are basically on two walls the seating is all good that you can pretty much see everything from wherever you are sitting.

    I had one female server that was awesome. I had one male server that made eye contact with me TWICE and never came over even though I clearly had been looking at the menu, closed it, and had no drinks, etc. I had to wave the guy down because I thought he would ignore me again and I was pissed that I had already seen two other groups get served before I even was greeted. He did apologize but didn't say why he was a numbnuts.

    Anyway, the food was decent. The wings were reasonably priced and they gave me 7 instead of the 6 I ordered. Nice. Drinks are on the pricey side but I expected it connected to a 4 star hotel.

    Black & Bleu Burger was AWESOME. Herb fries were pretty god but not amazing. Food comes out fairly quick even when crowded and they bring out a whole tray of condiments.

    They got a pretty good crowd for the Stanley Cup Finals but they lost points when they changed the only TV screen turned to the Cubs game and changed it!

    I came here to catch some March Madness during a lunch break.

    The service is still awful. The server completely forgot someone's order, only to mess it up later. I overlooked this, because they opened the bar 5 hours early to accomodate our desire to support Cal (who failed, but that wasn't the bar's fault).

    I do dig the 2x2 matrix configuration of the 4 large TVs in the main bar area and the availability of wireless speakers. It's a great place to catch a game, if you don't mind the crappy service and peanut shells .

    If you are looking for a place to check out a sporting event and have a drink with some friends, Knuckles is the place to go on the Peninsula.   They've got 18 TV monitors surrounding the bar.  You can also carry portable speakers to your table to actually listen to the game you're most interested in - which is pretty awesome.

    I went to Knuckles a lot last year, mostly for NBA games, and I wasn't disappointed.  They offer a wide range of beer, some local wines, and free peanuts to go with a food menu that's available till 11:00 PM.

    Last year, the food wasn't that great.  However, this year sometime in the summer, they brought in a chef, Mark Ayers, who's from Pacific's Edge at the Highland's Inn (Wow - this is a serious upgrade!) to beef up the menu and back-of-the-house operations.

    Now, you can have a decent salad and a glass of wine for dinner.  Or go with the traditional sports bar food like burgers, which are much improved from last year and fries.  You can get the fries plain or Gilroy style (with garlic and butter), Maui style (with ketchup and mustard aioli) or Texas style (with chili).   I also like the chicken tacos and the tri-tip salad.

    The service is not that great, but the front staff is really friendly.  And, anyway, fellow Yelpers, it's a sports bar - as long as the games are streaming on in relative clarity, the speakers work, and I've got something to drink, I'm pretty much happy.

    There are billiard tables if you get antsy and need to move around (this happens a lot when I watch the Warriors play).  They're also family-friendly, so if there are kids in your family, come on down....

    I just can't seem to get into the peanuts on the floor trend. It's dirty and gross and makes me feel like I'm walking through a trash can. We actually went to Knuckles twice during our stay at the Hyatt. First time great experience. Hardly anyone at the bar. Fiance and I had pretty standard food a burger and a philly cheese steak (minus the cheese, onions and peppers of course). It was tasty and super filling. The waitress was friendly and even provided us with a walking map for Carmel, she kept pushing refills on the soda since they cost so damn much. lol

    We went back after the UFC fight to have a few beers before heading to our room. The place was FILTHY! It looks as though they have no actual bus-staff so of course the servers are not dying to clean tables. The entire time we sat there we saw one table being cleaned. Gross. I had a giant Miller light, and Fiance had a few overpriced Irish Coffees. I also was craving chocolate so I went for the giant cake, ugh so disappointing. If your going to serve frozen cake, pop that shit in the microwave and then add some chocolate sauce. Grody, it was so cold I could bearly cut through it. I'd definitely stick to Knuckles during the day, night just was such a different experience.

    The only reason I came here was because this place was located at the hotel where I attended a nursing convention. Aesthetically it was a really cool place, one that I thought I'd like to frequent regularly if I were a local. Unfortunately we had a server by the name of Cindy. I consider myself a great customer. I learn their names, I say please, I say thank you and I do leave fatty tips when service is exceptional.

    I was there the whole night with my colleagues from 7 to 11 watching the Laker game. Cindy came to our table 3 times throughout the 4 hours we were there! No refill on beers or asking if we'd like to order food. The server from the table next to us was attentive to our needs. It was only then when she found out that I/we were there for a nursing convention that she started to pay attention. Sorry Cindy. Too little, way to freaking late!!!

    What tops it off is that we told her "table for four please". She had the nerve to add gratuity for the table next to us. We knew the people next to us but they arrived 2 hours later!

    This sports bar would have been way better if she was not working there! I'd give zero stars but there is no option!

    Totally unimpressed.  Very disappointing for a sports bar.  I was craving a good meal and some beer after spending a good portion of the day treading water and diving, and was excited to try out Knuckles.  The nacho appetizer had NO cheese on it.  My friend's pizza was basically an inch of dough with a bit of melted, water cheese and crappy tomato sauce on top.  My fish and chips were ok, but nothing like it should have been since I was eating in a fishing town.  The service was awful.

    I'd say the only good thing about this place are the huge HD televisions and the fact that they have Blue Moon.

    I love Knuckles.  Or maybe my favorite bartender in the world who is at Knuckles.  He's my hero.  Anyways, it's the most comfortable, low-key (yet not slimy) bar & I wish I could go every week without looking like (or actually becoming) a complete lush.  I went this Saturday for the first time in 2 years with a good friend; it's been a long time since I've had so much fun.  Wish I could go more often.

    True, food is very limited & only served to 11pm, but I don't care.  They have the most delightful endless popcorn and peanuts and of course, the bar.  THE BAR.  And it's tenders.   :)
