IT'S THE SAME RUMORS. kitchen looks the same. the chef lady who works there is STILL there. this isn't new. what's just new is the name, and better interior. it's still rumors, remixed. that's it. that's all.

i noticed their cocktail soju is the cheapest all around.
wanna know why? i could be wrong, but wanna know why anyways?

12.99 for every single one of them.
most places charge i think 15-20ish.

yogurt soju for instance, i taste 70% yogurt, 30% soju. this is 12.99.
you only taste a slight hint of alcohol.

so i think i just paid for 12.99 worth of yogurt actually. here's how to actually make it taste better. order a bottle of regular soju. pour about half or so on the kettle (cocktail soju), give it a little shake or stir it with an unused chopstick a little.

    then enjoy it.

some of these reviewers and complaining about food - i'm going to assume if you've been here, you've probably been to 3 or 4 other ones that sell the same thing. don't have high expectations, because you should've just gone to a decent korean restaurant for food. you're eating and judging off a plate that are pretty much the equivalent of denny's, in korean version.

overall, it's a decent place. it's very korean-populated. i think. but their cocktail soju should be more soju'd up.

I'm spoiled with Korean bar foods in Garden Grove down in SoCal... this place has a cute waitress, and the food is okay, but the portions are really, really small. A small Corn Cheese is $10!!!! Prices are okay. They did service us with a seafood pancake which was very delicious, but once again small portions. What bothers me is this is a Japanese Izakaya yet, it's so Korean!!! LOL

i guess this place used to be rumors!  anyway, went for the first time.  there's open space, which is nice.  i heard the food was more expensive (most things 9.99), fries for 9.99???  i hear the mussel soup is good.  i only drank some beer and ate some plain tofu.  we didn't stay for long... it's one of those places that are chill and the people make the place.  i wish i had checked it out while it was still rumors!  while it's japanese themed, they have like 2 japanese alcohols and that's it.

From the name and signs on the outside, this place looks like a Japanese izakaya and karaoke bar. It's neither, that's misleading. First it's Korean, which would be OK, but it's not a karaoke bar either. It has private rooms so it should be called karaoke box, not a bar. Not only that, the rooms are very expensive.
If you want a real Japanese karaoke bar then I recommend 7Bamboo in San Jose Japantown. It's cheap, free to enter and it's a bar not a karaoke box, songs are only $1. If you want to sing Japanese songs go Tuesday night, they have a Japanese night.

This place seems really sketchy from the outside but disregard that and just do it! Upon entering, the place is bright, lit, and filled with nice new furniture. It really looks more like a restaurant than a Soju bar but that's okay. They have a fish tank in the front and along the wall there's a long lounge-y bar. Then in the back there are several Karaoke rooms you can rent. The soju is CHEAP! Only $10 per order and they have pretty much all the flavors as VIP and Hue. They also have a wide variety of appetizers and korean dishes to go with your drinks. The soju is served in tea pots which seems odd at first but it's delicious. They don't give you munchies to munch on like VIP does but that's okay since the soju isn't as expensive. Yogurt flavor here was our group's favorite. The place was definitely roomy and fit our group of 9 people nicely on a Thursday night. Great experience and definitely a good alternate soju bar to go to in Santa Clara. :)

Disappointed with this place.  Rumors (what this place was before they changed owners) had better food and larger plates.  The prices were a little high back then, but we would at least get tons of food.

Now, with the new owners, they charge a crap load for TINY plates of food.  They also never used to charge us for the room when we would order food and hit the minimum bill.  Now, they charged us for the room too.

Another testament to the raised prices: a bottle of soju that costs $3 at the store was going for $20 here.  Luckily, they realized how ridiculous they were and started charging $10.

Not a fan of the new ownership.  I miss Rumors!!!

this is the old rumors under new ownership and called Kun. The last time I came here was October, and now it looks nicer than before, but a bit smaller. They replaced the tables and added nicer ones along with nice chairs as well. it has a nicer feel, but could get packed quickly since there's only about 8-10 tables. they do also have a room but that costs extra, as well as the karaoke rooms which had a minimum bill when it was rumors as well.

service was really good, they were very attentive, although it never got super packed, or people quickly came and went, whereas we were there for about 3 hours. theres a big fish tank near the entrance, and the owner told us how she loves watching the fish, so a nice added touch. we ordered a couple bottles of soju, and had chicken butt (its chewy and weird, but not bad) and fish cake soup. they were nice enough to heat up the soup for us later on, and even added more fish cake. the owner also found out it was 2 of our birthdays, so brought out a seafood pancake, as it was the closest looking thing to a cake! very nice of them.

i feel the older folks are more attracted to this place, and it's a very chill and a more relaxed environment. its a plus as they have the karaoke bar, hope it does well!
