I have been to the club 3 times on different days. Not a place I would go back to.
One the music is repetitive throughout the night. Djs just play different remixes of the song.
Two drinks are tasteless dry, not worth the cost.
Three the women are young and older. But not too classy or sexy.
Four the surroundings of the place is not too pleasant.

I Will Describe You Simple And Easy LA Boom Nigh Club!

-Very Well known club in the Hispanic culture so, if your plans are to indulge yourself with different ethnicity ehhhh wrong place baby. All you will find here are chicas & chicos latinos bonitos  (mexican.guatemalan, salvadoreans etc.) haha how you love them i won't describe you the people in here cause everyone has different tastes.

-I personally am a regular here, for the simple fact that i enjoy my spanish music (They play from cumbias, merengue, to hip-hop, top 40's  rock en espanol)

-Really big place i enjoy it for the simple fact that you are not laying on top of each other in a very crowded place, surrounded by armpit, sweaty vagina and dicks smell hahaha!

-The place has Three floors One really huge one and two some what medium size?

-Did I mention drinks are well prepare! haha yes no lame half water drinks!

-They Have Bottle service & of course seat reservation if you and your guest are picky about having the best experience possible!

    - Ladies Go Inn Free Before 10pm On Fridays & before 9:30pm on Saturdays I Love It! Because They Don't Make You Wait In Line And There Is No Mediocre "PROMOTERS" With Their Stupid Guest List!

-Cracks On SATURDAY Plenty of people to interact & enjoy the night ! BABY

-You Will Find From 18yrs-Those late 30yrs olds trying to be Young Once Again! haha Don't Get scare young ladies there is plenty of security if a creep is bothering you simply call security and they will solve your problem :)

-So What Are you waiting For, get ready for la boom and start practicing your basic spanish words. haha

my cousin celebrated her 18th birthday here in march 2013. The place is Huge very spacious lots of room to dance and plenty of seating. You don't need bottle service to sit which is plus. It has three rooms. I didn't really like the music not much variety and well im not a big reggeton fan and that's kind of the main playlist there. i wont be going back unless there is a big 96.3 event happening or my friends drag me again ;).

for december 14, 2012 . There were places to sit down, and the main race are Hispanics idk if that matters to you. They played good music and then they started playing Hispanic songs, which was alright in my book I still danced to it.  I had a really good time here dancing with my friends! There wasn't that much people. AT first, but later it felt crowded. But there were other rooms too they were unused that i visited it! the restrooms were clean :D We danced on the pedestal thingy and it was cool! haha beware of guys asking you to dance with them, and they will come back again to beg which is lame!! haha. There were mostly older men, not much young men.= which I wasn't alright with. But I did have a good time so yeah it was good :)

Girls were free before 9, and parking was for $5. I personally wouldn't go to a club to find myself a boyfriend. ok. so you shouldn't either!  That day boys were 20$, Men there paid 20$ to spectate on women. WOW. LOL. I would of danced instead of going around to ask people to dance with you end up being rejected then going back to ask again. Waste of money!!

Ive been going here for over a year. This club is Huge with plenty of space to sit down. It CRACKS on Saturdays. They play the best Reggaeton, hiphop and other spanish music that i dont care much for. lol. Its great for groups or even pairs. The drinks are fairly priced but i ussually pregame it anyways.
The only thing I dislike about the club is the croud. Ghetto B****es and old guys be going there. Girls if ur looking to meet cute guys, this aint the place to meet them...but if your looking to dance to great music and have a blast with ur girls, this is the club to go to!

First of all yes most of the ppl that go there are ghetto like paisas and chuntis but I had an ammmazzzing time here! I took all 11 of my girls here on a sat night for my besties bachelorette night... Entrance was free we got there like at 9pm and we immediately walked in an started dancing. Plenty of ppl dancing and plenty of space we danced all night on the stage too! Drinks were pricey but before 10 they had $3 tecate lights so It was cool. The music I have to say is what was the best! Literally like music u hear at ur family parties they would ply everything hip hop reggeton 80's rock en espanol and little Banda all an all all our feet were danced off of how good the music was! Can't wait to go back!!!

On a Saturday, I heard about La Boom through an ad on Latino 96.3. I ended up going to the club later that night with a buddy after deciding against Suede in Downtown since we had gone there last week. Arriving around midnight, the cover for guys was $25 - a bit steep for the location, but we were willing to explore, and ended up having an unexpectedly good time.

Rooms/Music: From a physical layout standpoint, the club does not disappoint. We first skeptically arrived, walking into the massive main room, and immediately realized how spacious the club was. The two other rooms also had large capacities, so there wasn't over crowding if you like to dance comfortably. As soon as you enter the main hall, they were playing 40's/Salsa/Cumbia/Techno/Rock en Espanol (per Mystery C.), as well as a good amount of DJ remixes to current songs. This room is the most spacious and has many tables along the sides, so if you want to do a lap here to get a feel for the crowd or swoop in for an initial dance, this is the spot. One issue was that if you want to buy drinks with a credit card, make sure you're at the right bar, since some are cash only. The other room was dubbed the "Reggaeton Room" playing reggaeton, of course, and other dancing favorites like Bachata, Merengue, Cumbia, and even Punta. If you've come to dance, this is the room to end up in. Lastly, the Rock en Espanol room looked the least popular to me, but I'm biased since I like that genre the least. If you did come to rock out though, a number of folks in the room were wearing full punk attire, complete with black makeup, black leather pants and vests, and looked like they were having a ball.

The People: As reviewers noted before, this club is largely a Latin club so you'll find a lot of Mexican and Salvadorean Americans, as well as people born in their native lands. I personally love dancing to Latin music, so this was a non-issue, but if you're not a fan or don't enjoy Spanish music, you may wish to consider other options. Since La Boom is not in the most affluent area, you won't find many college educated professionals, but if you've come to have fun, who cares. There were a number of "grenades" (courtesey of Jersey Shore) in the bunch, so beware. However, there was also a number of attractive women. Tight dresses, corsets, aggressive eye shadow, and potential carcinogens in hair products were all present, but since there's so many people, you have options to be selective. Just be sure to look for a wristband if you're drinking since it's an 18+ club. Also, I do not speak Spanish (well), so you may need to screen for communication barriers before choosing a dance partner for the night.

Random: Drinks are moderately priced - I drank vodka tonics all night at $11 a pop, and they served it with Grey Goose the entire time. Randomly, the men's bathroom was closed, so we had to scout out the other with limited direction from the security guard barring us from urinary relief. Since it was casual attire, you have the chance to stand out by even wearing something moderately classy. Overall, La Boom is a lively and entertaining spot to spend a Friday or Saturday night if you're looking to dance with a Latin flare.

After a very fulfilling dinner at Katsuya, I drove back to the Spanish ghetto where I live and as I was pulling into the driveway, these two girls were like, following me in their car and trying to talk to me.  I get holla-ed at in my hood constantly when I go outside, I could be like, wearing pajamas, with no makeup, hung over, squinty eyed, and dirty hair in a ponytail and that does not slow down the holleration flow.  Gotta hand it to the Latinos.  Truly a persistent bunch.  But I've never gotten attention from the women.  This was a new one.

When I got out of the car, they were standing in my driveway, asking to buy my shoes.  Because, boyfriend/husband home sleeping, they want to go party, it was midnight on a Sunday and nowhere to buy shoes.  So girl, hook it up!  I was all about it and ran upstairs and came down with a pair of heels from Banana Republic that I haven't worn in years. $20?  Sounds reasonable.

Then they were like, why don't you roll with us?  And of course I was down.  So we all went off.  They were from El Salvador, barely spoke English, no papers, living in LA for about 7 years now.  One was 28 with a 12 year old kid and a 9 year old kid.  The other was 25 with a 5 year old, or something.  We all spoke Spanish the whole time.  My Spanish is not that good but luckily, I am shameless and they were impressed by it.

They changed into hoochie gear after parking on the street.  Tight tight clothes, heels (one of them mine), and like 20 sprays each from this overwhelming cheap perfume bottle.  After gagging and choking for a while, I think I smelled like them by association.  We sashayed over to the pay lot (fuck that shit) followed by some dude speaking to them in Spanish, asking for money to "look over" their car.

La Boom is HUGE!  I cannot believe that I'm the first to review this place on yelp.  Where are all the illegal immigrant yelpers?  Y'all need to represent.  This club had at least 5 rooms, each of which is easily the size of a skating rink.  I think guys have to pay admission, like $20, and las mujeres, you are free.  Come in ladies!  No bottle service.  We are the working class here people.  Just buy drinks, dance, only latin music in every room.  Girls with no waist in tight dresses abound.  It was hard to find a guy taller than me in the whole club.  I think there were 2, out of like, 1000.  I spoke Spanish at the club the whole night.  Had a blast dancing.  I'm guessing half of the crowd were Mexican and the other a blend of Central American countries, mostly El Salvador.

And, in the middle of the night, there was a special treat.  Yes!  A male dance off contest!  Where have I been all these nights partying in Hollywood when I should have been at La Boom!  12 hunky men (actually good looking for real) from the crowd stepped up to the center stage, surrounded by squealing ladies in a circle.  They danced, they stripped, they poured water over their white undies, they jumped up and down flopping their junk, they were molested, grabbed, pinched, the target of mass hysteria, and everyone had a phenomenal time.

Around 2 we bounced and every guy in the parking lot was trailing behind.  Apparently, the girls I met are considered super hot by Latino standards.  Who knew?  At the car, there was a line of traffic of cars waiting to holla at my friends, as one car gets shut down, the next one will pull up and make an appeal.  I started driving their car since they didn't have a license and were kind of tipsy.  We ended up at a taco truck til 3 or 4 in the morning, kickin' it with a group of Salvador people at the next table over.  My Spanish improved by leaps and bounds in that one night.

If you like Latin music/culture/people, or just want to see some flopping dicks in wet undies, La Boom is a must go!!
