Bland salsa. Bland chips. Â So-so slow service. The chille relleno (Hacienda verison ) was excellent (had a different name-chile poblano). Prices were reasonable. In an old Interurban station near the Ft. Harrison Park. As others have said, the chicken soup is incredible. Highly recommended.
Review Source:Great place for Tex-Mex, but it can get busy during the lunch rush. So if you don't mind sitting out on the patio when it's open, you won't have to wait for indoor seating.
I'm not a big fan of re-fried beans, but I am carnivorous, so I got El Burro de la Roqueta with rice on the side. The pork filled tortilla was juicy and drenched in a tomato based sauce, but it'd be nice if it was a little lighter on the salt. Lunch portion is quite large and it will definitely leave you feeling stuffed. There are also plenty of vegetarian options available for the herbivores.
The best thing I ate there was the tortilla chips and salsa that they bring out to snack on before your main meal. Both are prepared fresh. They do get addictive, so you'll be asking for more, but they'll be happy to replenish it.
