Mama's House

Update to my previous review...  The service at Mama's House has gone downhill!!!  My favorite waitress is not here anymore and the 2 male servers are TERRIBLE!!!  They spilled soy sauce on my hubby TWICE in one meal and didn't even offer to pay to have his pants cleaned! They look down on non-Koreans and especially Koreans married to non-Koreans (of which I am).  While the food is so tasty, I hesitate to eat here anymore.  So disappointed...

Mama's House is very good when it comes to BBQ and banchan. I've only tried the kalbi, the LA kalbi, and the bulgogi so far, but they're all very good. The kimchi is very good and tastes homemade. The only downside was we've also been here for non-BBQ lunch and weren't as impressed. The yangnyeom (fried chicken) wasn't very good - too much bad sauce. The naengmyeon (summer noodles) was also less than impressive and it's an enormous portion.

The only bad part about the experience I had here was how long it took us to get our bill. We probably waited for that as long as it took us to eat our food! However, the food was delicious, everyone was very friendly and I liked the atmosphere. I got a soup, I forget what it was called, but it was delicious. Towards the end of my bowl, I was pleasantly surprised by a large clam. The kimchi (I think that's what it's called) came with the soup, about 12 different kinds, all in white bowls. Also, I would highly, highly recommend the green onion salad, which I also happily munched on. Lots of food=my tummy was very happy and very full when I left!  This was the kind of food that I'll be craving soon; a craving that only Mama's House will be able to fill.
