I was there on Saturday, February 23 at 8:00pm. The bartender was very friendly and promptly served us. My brother-in-law asked if the bartender had any jokes and he told two extremely racist jokes. One involved shooting black people and the other was about slavery. The bartender's defense was that those are the only jokes he's ever told. I will never return to The Landing.

I've had fish fry's all over town, so needless to say I love fish.  Over 40 years of eating fish, I always had to have some sort of condiment with it, not at the Landing though, a condiment would destroy the flavor too much! Now granted I haven't tried the different fish dinners like perch or shrimp, but the beer battered cod with fries is beyond excellent, with fish this good I have no need to try the others. My wife always orders the shrimp and she seems to love it as much as I love the fish.

The dinner comes with a generous portion of fish, fries, couple slices of rye bread and cole slaw...it fills me up and I'm a big eater, I will admit I usually order chicken fingers for an appetizer, and don't forget the barbeque sauce for the chicken fingers, I try to save enough sauce for dipping the fries.....as Mr. Food always said ooooooh it's so good!

The only other menu item I've had here is the burgers, and they're above average to say the least. Menu is rather limited, but it is a bar afterall, and yes it does get quite noisy at times, but if you go during the warmer months you can dine outside on their deck.

Can't believe the Packing House which is less than a mile up the road gets all the good reviews and so many customers, I've had their fish fry and I don't think it compares to The Landing!!

I'm sure this place is a decent local to get a beer and socialize with your mates.

But I noticed on the night that I was there that music was really loud.

An older couple were trying to enjoy what appeared to be some decent pub food, but they seemed a bit put off by the volume of the classic rock. And loud it was. I found it odd that the Gov'nor wasn't aware of these two and their obvious discomfort with the canned music.

It's loud, the regulars a bit crude, but the beer was cold and cheap.
