Las Palmas

My husband and I have yet to eat at the actual restaurant but were lucky enough to visit the La Palmas truck that frequents the farmers market on Saturday mornings. We each got the breakfast burrito and it was phenomenal. The prices are decent the serving size was soso but the food made it worth going back believe me.

If you want 100% authentic Mexican, this is the place. Unless you say otherwise, tacos are on two corn tortillas, with onions, cilantro and lime a as a garnish. They even have tongue tacos! On weekends, they may have specials such as roast goat.

Do not show up expecting a posh environment. The restaurant is frumpy, at best.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, they have specials, with tacos at $1.25 (the authentic ones ---two corn tortillas, loaded with meat, cilantro, onions, and they have steak, al pastor, tongue, chicken, etc). Hours are unpredictable -- call before showing up. You might also need to ask for a fork. On some days, the person who is working doesn't speak much English, which is fine for our family, not so for others. Were it not for these few things, I would have rated it a 5, since the food is great.
