This place is Goooo-oood.

They've done much better the last couple of times I've gone there to make sure our vegetarian soup was truly vegetarian.

They've recently updated their menus so their easier to read (and they look like you get to read a book on Thai food instead of just a menu to eat Thai food).

Friday and Saturday nights (wouldn't be surprised if Thursday would be worrisome, too) -- are PACKED! Everyone is hoping to come here to eat before heading to the theatre. I've seen many a people ordering to go only to sit in their cars to eat it. If you want to eat their food on those nights -- order to go!

They're very quick in getting food out but their servers can be a little distracted. It's hard to get water refills, but it's such a small place it's not hard to get their attention.

They do have outdoor seating but it's not heated. So, it'll be nice when the night weather warms up.

Love this Thai place. I have never actually eaten in the restaurant, I always get it to go. So this review is based solely on the food. The Panang chicken curry, drunken noodles, and Pad Thai, are all great. This is definitely my Thai go to in San Clemente.

My husband and I go there all the time. It has become our place for Thai. They use the "right" veggies in the Drunken Noodles.... at least the right noodles for my husband. The people there are nice. I wish they would get fountain drinks. I don't like cans of soda.

Little Thai Hut is a small place that is well decorated and only has a few tables. The service was very fast and acceptable. We had the friend wontons, pad thai with tofu, and Thai sweet and sour chicken (super authentic, right). Everything was ok but a little pricey for the portions. The fried wontons were really good, but fried cream cheese is hard to mess up. The dipping sauce was also delicious. It wouldn't be my first choice but I would go back again if someone else wanted to go there.

faint smell of sewage almist made me walk out, but thankfully our seats were unaffectred. could have been the bad weather. the food was good, and so close to the movies, no need to repark. prices are fair, but menu is so big it is discouraging, maybe cause they have pictures of so many dishes. i guess they are used to customers who dont eat thai food!

The Thais seemed normal size but the quality was gigundus! Nothing little about the flavor or exceptional variety. Camp out - 'cause you're gonna love it!

YUMMY Authentic Thai. Great for dinner, but their lunch specials are amazingly cheap.

Papaya salad and Curry were both yummy and flavorful!

The Drunken Noodles though....DELISH!

Staff was super friendly, Keep in mind that there is a minimum of $10 to use your credit card.

My boyfriend and I wanted to go out for lunch and were feeling some Thai. When I found that there was a $5 for $10 coupon on Yelp, we decided to check Little Thai Hut out.

Pros:
- My plate (the Drunken Noodles) was excellent. I went medium spicy and it was perfect. It wasn't overly spicy but complemented the dish perfectly.
- The restaurant was a little hole-in-the-wall place that was very clean and nicely decorated.
- The prices (especially for the lunch menu) were affordable and reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Cons:
- My boyfriend's food wasn't very well seasoned. He got the Crying Tiger dish which claims to be excellently seasoned so we expected something extraordinary. However it was kind of bland and oddly sweet.
- Not enough seating. There were only 6 small tables inside and a couple tables at the bar which was really like a reception desk. Granted, the weather is usually very nice but during the winter I'd rethink eating here if I had to sit outside.
- I was a little peeved that our coupon almost wasn't accepted. We ate there on a Tuesday afternoon and the waitress said that we couldn't use it on lunch. The coupon said nothing about that in the exceptions. We were eventually able to use it but I didn't appreciate having to fight for it.

After all of that I would come back here but I've been to better places.

This place is great. I took my cousin here tonight and he loved it as well. The spicy fried rice was great, not that spicy, and the service was amazing. They were always on top of things even when it get heavy with customers. The waitresses were always smiling and quickly kept refilling our drinks. They also had some great Thai Ice Teas with boba. I would recommend this Thai place for anyone in the surrounding area.

I created a yelp account just to write about this restaurant because it was so good! I got the orange chicken and cream cheese won tons and my boyfriend got the crying tiger. He said it's called the crying tiger because it brings you to tears it's so delicious. I would definitely recommend anyone come here. It's affordable and offers a meal you'll never forget and you'll long for in the middle of the night. Oh, it's so good.

This is my go to place for Thai food. The staff are very nice and helpful. Every Thai place prepare the food differently, and I certainly have a particular taste/texture that I look for, but this place hits the spot. I usually have the Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and Tom Kar soup. All of it is very yummy.

5 stars for the food. Only thing I really didn't like is that they do not inform you there is a $4 delivery charge, so I ended up tipping another $5 not being aware. Hopefully the delivery person gets a portion of the $4. Their website does not have the correct pricing so I ended up paying a great deal more than what I thought. She didn't give me my total over the phone. Just a little sneaky I think. But great food! They simply need to update website and be honest about what true costs ur going to incur.

My husband and I just went to lunch here and we both just loved it. I had the green curry pork and my husband had the crying tiger (marinated beef steak). Everything including the soup, that came with the lunch was wonderful. We will totally be back!!!

Looking for a good Thai place in San Clemente, this place has it all. the best deals on lunch specials and the best tasting Thai food. The service is a bit slow during rush hour lunch time, but the food is worth the wait. Chicken thai fried rice with peanut sauce is excellent. The thom kar soup (coconut soup) with chicken is delicious. If you want to sit outside, just keep your eyes on the parking in front of you (one car rolled over the curb while we were siting out there).
Parking can be a pain, but this place has great Thai food!!

I got the crying tiger beef. It was probably the worst beef I've ever had of any restaurant. They were kind enough to replace my order with cashew chicken. The cashew chicken was just chicken, nothing special or flavorful. However my friend got the yellow curry and it was delicious!

Not too pricey. Just a small place. Never been in when its packed though.

Our favorite Thai place in O.C.! We've taken every family member visiting from out of town to this restaurant. They all love this place too!

I've eaten here 3x this summer & enjoy the food. Great Pad Thai. We've been looking for a good place in town and are happy to have found one!

This place is amazing. We're originally from Los Angeles where there is a Thai place on every corner, and even lived in Thai Town, and this is the best Thai food we have had in years!
The favors are well balanced, good heat (if you request it), nice atmosphere, very friendly service. Everything was fresh and tasty!
They use all white meat chicken (unlike some places where they throw in little cut up bits of brown chicken scraps) and wonderfully large and sweet shrimp. Try the Pad Thai (which I use to measure how good a Thai place is, kind of like chips and salsa for Mexican food). The rice noodles were firm but tender, the sauce was spicy, not too sweet, fishy, or salty. The vegetables were crisp. Also the appetizer sampler was delicious! Satay, spring rolls, something ridiculously good called fire balls I think, and crispy fried shrimp things.
It's located in a strip mall, so don't expect fine dining, just really excellent Thai food. I'm so glad we discovered this awesome little place. Definitely will be coming back. Often.

Absolutely LOVED this place! The best Thai food in town - hands down, good food, great service, beautiful decor.
My favorite dish is Drunken Noodles. It's spicy. It's rice noodles stir-fried with chilies, Thai basil, onions, tomatoes and etc. If you love hot food. It's a must.

Great little Place! The food was marvelous and the waitress was very nice. My husband and I didn't even talk once we got our food, we were just pausing long enough to say how good the food was.

I thought I give this place a second chance considering it's down the street from where we live.

OMG, did I make a mistake!!!! The portion of the food was ridiculously small and not worth the $10-$11 a plate that we paid. Each dish wasn't even enough for one person. It's never a good sign when you leave a restaurant feeling hungry.

Never going back there again!

Save your money and go elsewhere!!!

Best Thai in town. For us, flavors are right on. Ask for hotter, if you are used to spicy dishes. We've also asked for "extra strong" on the lighter curries, for extra punch.

Reliable. All the beef and chicken dishes we've ordered had generous servings. Nothing undercooked. Sometimes we have to park behind Zona's because the parking lot is packed.

I disagree with other helpers that call this place too expensive. It was a great value for the lunch special that came with soup, cheese wonton, salad & entree. The watery green curry gets a minus one star but certainly balanced by the mango sticky rice! Last few Thai places I've ordered this dessert ended up being salty disasters. Worth trying & definitely end the meal with an order of the mango & sticky rice!

Went to this place only because of my http://Restaurant.com purchase. My husband loves Thai, so why not. He ordered the Chicken Panang and loved it. My son got the lettuce wraps and loved those. I ordered the Crying Tiger - waitress said it was great. It was not. It was basically flavorless flank steak on a bed of iceberg lettuce. It was accompanied by two sauces - one very heavy lime/vinegar, other was sour too. Not for me. Service was good.

I ate at this restaurant last week. The food was tasty, but I was disappointed in the small portion of the scallops (3) that I ordered with my pad Thai for $3 extra (over and above the chicken version). I came in with a $20 http://Restaurant.com certificate. My bill came to $19.90, 10 cents under $20 and they wouldn't accept it. I had to order something else to go over $20. The manager had a bad attitude. He basically said "you're already getting a 50% discount". I thought that was a very poor way to build his business.

This new Thai place just opened and I am in love! It's so cute inside and the service is great, very friendly! The food is delicious and the prices are unbeatable! I highly recommend the Pad Se Ew with beef, green curry with coconut, spicy beef salad, dumplings, oh and they have the best coconut soup. And their sticky rice with mango dessert is a must try! Everything is just so yummy!

Would I recommend this place to a friend? No.
The place is small but has nice decor and is clean. The service was also friendly and that's why I'm giving some stars. The food was just not good. It may have been better if it was actually warm.
We started with an order of spring rolls and the Tom Yum soup. The soup wasn't very spicy and it was luke warm. The flavor was just bland. The spring rolls were very tasty though.
For entrees I had the "Chefs Specialty" Simple Salmon and my hubby had Hong Kong style noodles with pork. My salmon took 10 minutes longer than my husbands dish but I think the veggies that came with mine were ready when his was because they were cold when I finally got my plate. The salmon was incredibly dry and I couldn't taste any of the thai spices it was supposedly marinated in. It also had a lot of bones in it which was unexpected. My husbands pork was over cooked and also not warm.
I wanted to like this place because it's close by and very cute but I was disappointed.

Look no further for sensational Thai food! Little Thai Hut is a small cafe-style eatery, tastefully decorated, with a relaxing ambiance, and the most delicious food that would not be out of place in any five star establishment. After a somewhat disappointing visit to the highly-rated Thai Dara last week, we were taken totally by surprise by the sensational food this tiny little cafe had to offer. The price was very reasonable, $36 for 2xTom Kha, 1 Green Curry, 1 rice, 1 Pad Thai and soft drinks. Service was perfect. This will be our 'go to' Thai place from now on.

Great, fresh, tasty and large portions. Best Thai food we have had in San Clemente and surrounding area. Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, quality ingredients and big selection. This new little gem near the movie theater is beautifully decorated in a cool vibe. We found this little restaurant to have a nice relaxing ambiance.

We went back for a third time. I wish that I could add a few more stars...
My wife has been all over Thailand and said this is the real deal. Thai owned and operated each dish is prepared fresh. The staff are all related and all are from Thailand.

All the flavors and ingredients are authentic and fresh. All the dishes are beautifully presented. The "Chang" brand beer imported from Thailand is fresh and a wonderful offset to the spicy Thai dishes. You may order spicy

If you are looking for mediocre Asian grub go to the mall and eat in that place with
the black and white teddy bear logo that serves you from hot cafeteria dishes into styrofoam. "Yes, I know the name of the chain".

If you want a real quality Thai meal, in a real Thai restaurant go to "Little Thai Hut".

BTW-The owner/manager who is there all the time will be glad to explain all the dishes and and correct spices that go with each meal.

Again, 7 stars.......

Great food and service. My friend and I started with the Tom Kha (coconut soup with shrimp) and it was by far the best I've had outside of Thailand. We agreed that if it was the only food left on earth we'd be happy! The green curry was nicely balanced with the brown rice and although the orange chicken is not really a traditional Thai dish, it was by far the best we've had. It was crispy and delicious which made us savor every last bite. I could also overhear other customers stating their dishes were fantastic as well. The decor is modern and inviting. I will definitely be coming back to sample the rest of the menu. There can never be enough of great Thai cooking. I hope this restaurant sets the bar higher for how awesome Thai cuisine is for everybody to enjoy.

A friend of mine brought over the Shrimp Panang with Brown Rice. I counted 5 shrimp and two strips of bell pepper (one red, one green - and somewhat overcooked). The taste was different from the Thai restaurant I frequent & love. It was good, just different. I accidentally came across the receipt in the bag while plating our food and was surprised to find that 2 Shrimp Panangs and 2 Brown Rice totaled $28.17. While the food was good (5 shrimp!) , it is overpriced for a take-out casual eatery. Also, when I logged on to write this review I see that they say all orders receive 10% off, which is not noted on the receipt :( All in all, the food is good but the price is too high for what you get. So the 4 Stars are for taste..not price. Guess I've been spoiled at the local Thai eatery I've been eating at! Lots of tasty authentic Thai food at a much more reasonable price.

Update: Found out they deliver! So one night we ordered the Pad Thai (yum!) and veg Panang with won ton wrappers. While the Panang I had the first time was quite tasty, this batch seemed to be missing something. As for the WonTons (I will not order them again), they were described on their menu with zucchini and carrot in them but instead we received these huge, crunchy won-tons with about a dime of cream cheese packed way down in the bottom...no veg and big disappointment. I've ordered these at other restaurants and have never been disappointed until now.

Clearly, these caveats haven't stopped me from ordering from them. I think I will give them one more shot! Also, the people that deliver are very kind! :)

Just walked in with the family not knowing anything about the restaurant. The Food was served hot, the service was excellent, and the flavors were great! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Our kids really liked both the Pad Thai noodles and the dessert of sticky coconut rice with mango! Congratulations on opening a good restaurant!!
