Organized an event for 13 of my clients to come here for dinner last night. It went really well. I made a reservation on the phone a few days ahead of time.
We had one server for the night and she was really good. She stayed on top of us and kept things moving which we appreciated. She even offered to do separate checks for us at the end (well, I don't think she was enthused, but she offered and we took her up on it) and that is a huge help since half my table was pregnant ladies and the other half were like me enjoying a few drinks each. Everyone paid what they ordered and walked away happy.
The food was good! I had the lamb burger with a side salad with their lemon vinegrette. I loved the dressing and the salad was simple but good (I like dark leafy greens). The lamb burger was big and messy, I ate it half with fork and knife/other half tried with my hands.
Most of us had one of the burgers and all reported being very happy.
The drinks were yummy, I had a widows kiss and I wish I would have ordered it for dessert.
I found a promotional coupon for this place at a local business and decided to give it a try on a Saturday for lunch.
Sat at the bar and chatted with a couple of bartenders who were both really friendly and helpful. I didn't know which beer to try so I received a couple of samples and ended up ordering two beers with my burger.
Started with their basic burger, which was very good overall. Cooked the way I like it, and it held together all the way through. The pretzel bun was a little more carbs than I'm used to having with a burger, and would prefer a shorter bun option if available next time. Good burger for sure, but not certain it's worth ten bucks, and here's why.
The fries that accompanied my burger were a big disappointment. I didn't even finish them and that is unusual for me. They tasted like a frozen product...just no real good potato flavor, so I only tasted the frying oil.
I will try this place again, mainly because of the energy of the crew and the flavor of the burger patty, however I'll inquire about a substitution for the fries, even if there's a bit of an upcharge.
