While visiting Auburn, we decided to eat and hang out at Locos. Since Auburn University has closed for the semester, they had very few customers. The sports atmosphere was great and they had plenty of big screen televisions to watch the NBA playoffs. This was a major plus, however I had the Cobb salad, it was okay, however, it appears to be a great place to watch sports.
Review Source:Decided to give them another chance. Bad idea. it was saturday night , they were empty and the service was crap. There was a total of 3 tables, thats 3 tables so I should not have any problem getting service. WRONG!
The Bartender was our waiter. They were focused on the girls and not the customers. I had to wave down the waiter for a drink.
I'm sorry but I will not go their again.
I used to go to Loco's a few years ago and liked the place. I went last night and was pretty disappointed. It was a Friday night and the place should have been crowded, but it wasn't.
The food as other reviews have said was pretty decent. I had the chicken wings and they met expectations.
I drink usually drink Crown and Jameson. I know my whiskeys. I ordered a Crown and Coke and got some bottom shelf whiskey and Coke. The hang over was terrible on two drinks. I couldn't finish my third drink because of the fowl tasteing and smelling alcohol they were trying to pass off as Crown.
It was a huge disappointment. Unfortunately I will not be going back...ever.
I went to Loco's for the foursquare (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.twitter.com%2Ffoursquare&s=641b118b9ddceec7d9b2bcac5e2484bfc5ae36030eaf23aaad530842bb81898f" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.twitter.com/f…</a>) event last night.  This was my second visit to Loco's and it continues to be a nice pub type atmosphere with decent American cuisine .  It's also in a great part of town.  You can hang out at Lake Bottom Park then cruise right over to Loco's for good food and cold beer.
I had the honey barbecue wings last night and they came just as I ordered them; extra crispy. Â I consider myself a connoisseur of wings and these lived up to my expectations. Â I got the draught Yuengling Lager which was on special for the 22 oz.. Â The mug was frosty but it was not filled to the top...more like 20oz.
Overall the experience was good and we'll be back for sure. Â Hopefully, next time enough people will show to get the foursquare swarm badge!!!
