I had always been curious as to what Lucky's had to offer. It took a day at the lake to strike extreme hunger and a Yelp search of where to eat and, kablamo! Next thing I knew I was feasting at this Tulsan hidden gem.

Kelley and I started with the Cherry St. Fry which is composed of calamari, green beans, and onions with Lucky's dipping sauce (which is ranch with sriracha). It was a nice sized appetizer for two people and didn't fill our bellies too much before our main dishes arrived. Complimentary pita and hummus is also served complimentary upon request!

I had the Lucky's cheeseburger. It. was. insanely. good! The bun was textured and tasted like a sourdough pretzel and the meat was cooked just right making every bite juicy while satisfying my crazy hunger. The TRUFFLED FRENCH FRIES were dang good. I mean.. really good. I asked for extra Lucky's sauce to dip them in.

It's safe to say I left not crumb on my plate behind.

Between the excellent service, drink menu, and food I'll definitely be back when my checkbook allows.

Service was disorganized and mediocre. Food average to below average. Chicken fry greasy and tough. Burger lacked flavor. Did not even bring a pen to sign the check. Little wonder there were empty tables during prime time on Friday night.

I think it's safe to say that even Dirty Harry himself would approve of this joint. The dim lights, set over the sleek polished interior, create an intimate lounge-like atmosphere.

Aside from a few people lingering at the bar, Lucky's was surprisingly slow for a Friday evening. We had a rather large group though, so it worked out nicely to get Lucky's undivided attention.

No qualms with the food here, everything looked and tasted incredible. I had the roasted salmon. I was a little caught off guard when the server asked how I'd like that cooked - I don't think I've ever been asked how I'd like my salmon prepared. This was great though because I'd much rather have my fish done to my liking (slightly less than medium) rather than one size fits all: overcooked. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce over the top was a nice touch of savoriness. Speaking of savory, we also ordered one of the specials of the evening: a grilled catfish filet topped with an assortment of mixed seafood (lobster, crab, everything good) served over coconut jasmine rice and a lobster cream sauce. Wow. Having ordered the two dishes, I was under the impression we would eat a few bites of each others' meal, 'sharing' if you will. Apparently I was mistaken. The next time I looked over at the catfish dish, it was nearly gone. Luckily I was able to sneak a bite in before it had completely vanished, and I can certainly see why it disappeared so quickly. That lobster cream sauce was something else paired with the seafood.

The other special for the night was a braised lamb shank. If I ever make it back to Lucky's, I sure hope they have this again because it looked amazing: juicy, tender, and falling off of the bone. Some other notable options included the meatloaf sliders and the chicken fried steak with blue cheese mashed potatoes. Seriously, it all looked good, but there's only so much you can try in one visit.

    Overall Grade: A

This was my first experience at Lucky's.  Granted it was Valentine's Day and they were busy, but the service was pretty awful.  We were a table of 4 and nobody stopped to talk to us or get us water for 10 minutes until we had to flag someone down and tell them to help us.

We ordered the calamari and Mexican shrimp cocktail for appetizers.  I didn't try the calamari but i heard it was good and came with a great dipping sauce (as do the truffle fries).  The Mexican shrimp was decent...I was expecting more flavor.

But again, problem with service.  We weren't given any silverware of napkins.  Again, probably just because they were so busy...but I would also think you would want to maintain a level of consistency no matter how many people are in the dining area.

I got the NY Strip Medium Rare and my wife got the Filet Medium Rare.  Both steaks were cooked perfectly.  Hers came with mac and cheese which was decent but nothing to get excited about.  Mine came with potatoes which were awesome and spinach which was awesome as well.

However, despite the steak being cooked perfectly, it was very very tough and chewy.  It was the worst steak i have ever had, whether i went to Pappas Bro's Steakhouse in Houston, TX ordered from Outback or cooked steaks myself at home.  I'm going to have to assume that they just use a very poor quality of meat.

Having read about the owner/chef and his background i find that a bit shocking.

I had 2 drinks and my wife had 2 drinks and we spent $130.

IMO, very overpriced for the quality of food and the service.  I would have been better off going to Food Pyramid and cooking dinner myself for 1/4 of the cost.

But if you're looking for a really tasty dipping sauce and truffle fries and some good spinach this place would be great for you.

Next time I'm spending this money, I'll be going to the Polo Grill

You won't find many restaurants like Lucky's in the Tulsa area.  Furthermore, it's astounding to me the number of people who have never heard of the place.

Lucky's brunch is a staple for my wife and I every weekend.  Complimentary hummus and pita along with $1.99 mimosas make a great starter.  My two favorite items for brunch are Eggs Poblano and Huevos Rancheros.

Lucky's is not for the Chili's/Applebee's crowd.  However, if you are looking for superb cuisine for a date night or weekend brunch, this is your place.

Always the BEST meal in town when I visit Tulsa from California each year!

Another reliable restaurant in good old Tulsa, and this is probably one of my favorites.  This is the kind of place I would take the wife, friends, parents, kids, or business associates.  The food and atmosphere are great.  I ate the chicken fried steak with a swiftness that suprised even myself.  It was a huge plate of food.  Anyway, if you are visiting or live here and haven't been check it out.

The food was excellent (chicken & hominy soup, eggs poblano and Meyer lemon tart) and the device was friendly and superb. Very nice surprise in Tulsa!

This place was a great find. Bar was good.  Lots of wine choices and cozy. Nick took great care of us. The others were correct in praising the black eyed cakes. With the greenery and the corn and black bean relish... YUMMY. We were there for the very end of Sunday Brunch so we had some limited choices. Next time we will definitely try the Sea Bass.  The place is cozy and probably not great for large groups or families.  Pretty close (5 min) to downtime and the BOK.  I would recommend this to anyone going to Cherry  St.

I'm happy that I finally got to try Lucky's after everything we've heard about them. When we entered the restaurant, we had the whole place to ourselves which was nice. The decor is very dive bar meets chic if that even exists.

The menu states bread per request, so don't forget to order your complimentary pita and hummus. The hummus was a little stiff at first, but had a great flavor and texture to it.

We ordered grilled brie and crostinis for our appetizer which came with grilled onions on top called "Onion Jam". It smelled so good when it came out and tasted awesome. After the first two dishes, I was pretty excited for the main course. My boyfriend ordered the asian style pork chop and I went with fire roasted salmon. His mashed potatoes were so delicious that I didn't start eating my own dish until I had enough of his.

My dish came with medium-cooked salmon on a bed of black beans, onions and corn salsa. It had hollandaise verde poured on top of it. The salmon itself was great and perfectly cooked, but I wasn't a fan of the black bean combo that sat below it. It had a very strange taste to it that I couldn't put my finger on, which made the dish less appetizing. The sauce was too much and did not compliment the salmon at all. I felt like my dish was a mess and really only ate the salmon portion and pieces of corn that I could pick out. I also ate some of the pork chop which was doused in house-made mustard. I felt that it was definitely sauce heavy too, making me think that this is a recurring theme with most of their dishes.

Overall, I think for the price that you pay, you should expect great food. The food was fine, but not worth it for me personally. Still, I'm glad I got to try it nonetheless.

Had brunch there today and ordered the chicken fried steak with eggs and Spanish home fries. I ordered my eggs cooked medium and they cooked them to perfection. The Spanish home fries and coffee were very good.  However the chicken fried steak was so so.  None of the food was seasoned and needed quite a bit of salt and pepper which is great I'd your watching your sodium intake.  Parking is a problem, it took quite a while to find a place.

Found this place on Yelp during a 1 night trip to Tulsa and all I can say is YUM! The location is strange and so is the outside but the food is delish. Thanks Yelp for not letting me down!

The Black Eyed Pea Cakes were delicious- the sauce was delicious. But the meal- mmm! The burger I had so perfect! The truffle fries were yummy and a great compliment to the Gorgonzola burger. The menu all looked great but we wanted a burger and got a great upscale burger served to us by the chef himself.

The hummus and pita at the beginning was a very nice touch. I would have gone back the next day if I hadn't already had plans. Now I have somewhere to go on trips through OK. A little pricey but not bad at all.

Food, service, ambiance were all excellent.  Wife and I went here for our anniversary and we both were very pleased.  Wine was great, food was tasty and not your typical everyday selections.  Our server did a great job at being attentive without annoying.  We both loved it.

I would give it a 5, however the location in an old and ugly strip mall was a bit of a put off for a place as nice and expensive as this.  You just have to keep in mind not to judge by outward appearances!

I'm one of the few people who's given this place less that 4 stars! sad. The waitress we had was very nice and attentive.

First, I ordered the lemon drop martini. It was really incredible and I want another one right now! please! I loved it.

Something else that I thought was AWESOME was that they gave us complementary pita bread and hummus. It was so tasty! And when we ran out... the refilled it! Yes please!

We decided to try the grilled chicken and hominy soup, and the black eyed pea cakes because everyone on yelp raved about them. The hominy soup was ok... but didn't really scream at me. The black eyed pea cakes were very tasty, and the corn and mixed greens went very well with them! I liked that there were two.

For entrees we ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs poblano. The chicken fried steak tasted simply like a chicken fried steak... not bad, but nothing terribly special? It was definitely better than a normal one you'd find at a regular diner though. The eggs poblano were very pretty, but I didn't love them! The flavor was kind of lost, but the fry bread was quite tasty.

Unfortunately I didn't love this place, and maybe I'd be back. Perhaps the raving reviews made my expectations too high. :-/

My fear in giving them 5 stars is that I typically ignore reviews of one or five stars.  But, I can't think of one reason to downgrade by a start.

Matt graduated from the CIA and interned at Mustards.  He is extremely talented and creative.  It is very safe to have them just bring out whatever they recommend for the day.

The wine selection is pretty good and fairly priced.  Lucky's is always in my top three places to recommend for visitors.  I promise, you will not be disappointed.

great great food, perhaps a bit pricey but well worth a special event or to treat yourself. We had the black eyed pea cakes and had the soup of the day tomato which was nice. My wife loved the crispy sea bass. The New York Strip I ordered was cook to perfection and served with creamed  spinach and potato hash. My wife and I were impressed and will be going here again.

My wife and I had brunch at Lucky 13 a few weeks ago.  The place was crowded with a lively atmosphere.  The menu was surprisingly large with plenty of different options to choose from.  I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and my wife ordered one of the special pancakes.  Both choices were extremely good.

This is not your ordinary brunch stop...if you want to kick up your culinary experience, I (we) would recommend Lucky 13.

    Enjoy!

When I visited Tulsa, I honestly didn't expect much from the food.  Lucky's totally blew me away with their quality of food and thoughtful menu.

Lucky's focuses on the quality of their food by keeping the menu short and sweet.  The atmosphere was welcoming and a relaxing for lunch.  Even with a quick glance at the menu, pesto mayo - seared foie gras - handmade foccacia?  I knew we were in for a treat.

I opted for the Eggs Poblano which is Lucky's play on Eggs Benedict with grilled chicken smothered in poblano hollandaise sauce.  The fry bread, whatever it is, was so tender and airy, the hollandaise sauce was nice and creamy without being overly salty.  There were rave reviews about the blackened chicken sandwich accompanied with a jalapeno slaw giving a nice kick.

Lucky's is a must-visit if you're in the Tulsa area.  This place is definitely serving some top-notch food.

Delicious food! I ordered the fried fish sandwich with their coleslaw on top. It was very fresh and delicious, as were the sweet potato fries! I don't know what they put on them, but they were amazing. Decent service, but I really didn't understand why they had all the blinds shut on a beautiful day in Tulsa. A little odd...but the bathroom was impeccable and the entire restaurant was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend this place for very good food!

Stopped here on a drive across the country. Super good fish entrees at lunch. THE best sweet potato fries I've ever had. The soundtrack was depressing and it would be nicer if the blinds were open...otherwise awesome place.

My boyfriend and I went here for brunch this morning and I was pleasantly surprised. From the outside Lucky's looks kinda ehhh. Inside it is so trendy and the decor is great. It also smelled great as we came in. I had the eggs poblano and my bf had the huevos rancheros. Both were great and the flat bread and hummus they start you with was delicious! Only prob was they lagged on drinks. The waiter forgot my mimosa all together and then they let our water and bf's coffee run out with out refills. If they were a little more attentative they would have got 5 stars, the food deserves 5 stars. I will defintely come back here again and would love to try lunch/dinner foods as well.

I've had 3 fantastic meals here lately. Two for dinner and one for Sunday brunch. The chef always checked on us - everything prepared perfectly. Portions are nice and food is full of flavor. One of the best values in Tulsa!!

We went to Lucky's for dinner last night, and it was very good.  The waitress recommended the pork chop.  I normally do not eat pork chops, but it was exceptionally good.  the hominy soup and flatbread were also very good.  My husband had the burger, and said he enjoyed it.  My daughter ordered the steak and mac&cheese from the children's menu.  I tasted her steak, it was cooked perfect, and had a great flavor.

My family would definitely recommend Lucky's.

I visited Tulsa this week and I have to say that Lucky's was, by far, the best restaurant we visited.  The classic French martini was one of the best I've ever had (and the presentation with the sprtiz and flames by the cute bartender was a fabulous bonus too).

Grilled chikcen and hominy soup as well as the grilled flatbread were both solid.   I really enjoyed the Black Eyed Pea Cakes with Fresh Corn Relish and Chipotle Aioli.  YUMmmmmmm!

Honestly ... Asian Style Pork Chop with the ginger mustard sauce was the BEST thing I tasted (along with those terribly tasty smashed Yukon Potatoes)

Southwest Caesar salad was the most disappointing item we ordered.  Wilted lettuce and not much taste.

I'd go back to Lucky's in a heartbeat.

The hostess and waitstaff were very friendly and service was quick. There were so many delicious sounding items on the menu that my husband and I had a hard time deciding what to eat for brunch. All of the food we got was delicious and well represented the description on the menu. We will definitely go back whenever we are in Tulsa again!

Lucky's has the best brunch in town. Actually, all of their plates are amazing. Great food and I've always received great service. Their 20 for $20 wine list is great for anyone on a budget. I prefer mimosas but I am told they have the best bloody mary in town.
The only problem I've ever had with Lucky's is reservations. I've made reservations several times as my friends and I are regulars. Our reservations have been overlooked twice and we ended up waiting almost an hour for a table both times and the hostess wasn't even nice about it.
Our server was wonderful (as always) and the food was worth the wait.

I went to Lucky's last Saturday night. Great experience. We just moved here from DC and it is definitely as good as some of my favorite restaurants there. The service was fantastic and the black eyed pea cakes were awesome. Also try the sauce that comes with the fry - ranch and siracha - delicious. I'll definitely go back. I heard the brunch is good too so we'll have to try it. Oh, and don't be deceived by the weird strip mall look - it's actually really nice inside.

Wow, while I have no idea if this is the best restaurant in Tulsa, its the best one to which I have been.
Actually I've only been to two, but if the rest of Tulsa's eateries can be compared to these, this might just be a rockin food destination.

Sunday Brunch, mimosas, light on the OJ, heavy on the champagne, yes! Bloody Mary: nice and spicy!
Poblano Eggs Benedict! Chicken rosemary...succulent and awesome!

Definitely a return trip is needed!!

It was Sunday, which means brunchtime. In Tulsa for the first time, we were searching for something organic-ish and local-ish, and discovered Lucky's. Their Sunday brunch is amazing. What can I say? You can't argue with a Cuban sandwich adorned with homemade pickles, ham AND tenderloin, and fresh made bread. Or how about a poached egg atop chicken breast and hollandaise sauce? Top notch menu items, complete with variety, originality and local/organic items.

It's a classy place, but not snooty, and perfect for relaxing on a Sunday.

Lucky's is one of my top five favorite places to eat in Tulsa.  The food is incredible.  I have yet to be disappointed.  The service is amazing as is the atmosphere.  Also, it is essentially next door to Drake's Tavern which is a great place to go chain smoke after a fabulous dinner.  Also, you can't hate on the $1.99 mimosas at Sunday Brunch.

Wow!  I took a group of 13 here on a Friday night.  From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like royalty.  We started with the seared Tuna appetizer and Chef's selection of Cheese.  We also started with an excellent bottle of wine from the 20 wines under $20 a bottle menu.

For dinner I had the steak special.  It arrived perfectly rare as ordered.  There was a side of beans that had smoked apple bacon and other spices that were fantastic.  I sampled from some of the other dishes like the fried quail.  Awesome.  Thank you Lucky's!  We had a great time.
