Cellar Dweller is one of Tulsa's best kept secrets. A curving staircase down into the basement of an apartment building lets you out at a cozy little wine sink with warm mood lighting. Have a seat at the bar or one of the tables or booths in the intimate space. Then order up a glass of wine, an old fashioned, or a $5 shot and PBR special.
Parking is very limited, but so is space inside, so I guess it evens out!
Great atmosphere if you're feeling like enjoying a drink or two and not dealing with a big crowd. Prices are great too! Don't try to order anything other than the basics though. They make a killer old-fashioned, but couldn't make a sidecar (said they couldn't) or a decent gimlet (they tried but it wasn't that great). I also wish they'd open a bit earlier. They don't open until 7pm so happy hour isn't an option.
Review Source:The only thing that sucks about this place is the random hours. I tried going in the other night after my hotel bar closed around midnight...I made it all the way downstairs and the bartender started yelling about how she was closed and that the door was supposed to be locked....even tho it was midnight and there were a couple people sitting at the bar. 4 other people came down and tried to get in, too. We were all ran off.
