The Tavern

Great location and it easily offers one of the best atmosphere's in all of Tulsa.  Has a very classic but hip feel to it and I love the prohibition era looking old wood bar back.

While not a huge selection of choices on the food menu, very little on there disappoints.  Don't feel compelled to eat the burger as that's what they are known for but it's a pretty darn good burger.  Some of the other options are a little more pricey though.

While the beer selection is good, I've had a couple bad experiences with their classic cocktails being a little over powering with seemingly a 90% alcohol mixture.

Had dinner there on Sunday night with the family for the first time.  Great chicken, potatoes and gravy and asparagus and biscuits so big you have to split one 3 ways!  Tried the Angry Mac and Cheese and it was truly the best mac n cheese I've ever tasted!  Will go back definitely.

Great restaurant. Don't know about all the menu items but we had the gourmet hamburger and it was excellent. The two girls split one hamburger and it was more than enough for them. Of course, I ate a whole hamburger and the mountain of French fries that came with the meal. I shouldn't have done it...but I did. It was that good. I had told the hostess at the front door that I wanted to get the cobbler but we were on our way to the theater and I couldn't wait twenty minutes for the preparation. She said she would take care of it and when our waiter arrived he said he had given instructions to the kitchen to have the cobbler ready. And it was ready when we finished our hamburgers. He brought it to our table hot and with ice crèam on top. It was enough for three people to share. And it was just as good as I had read in previous reviews. It's a desert you would remember. Not knowing that, the girls had also ordered the parfait in addition to the cobbler...which was also excellent. By the way, we had an excellent waiter. He was attentive without being pushy. Also liked the atmosphere and the interior décor. Wine list was good and there was a good assortment of local beers.
