    It's nice little lounge right next to bella bru, dim lights, kind of a romantic setting. A lot of professionals everytime I go. So showing up casual might make you feel a little out of place. The crowd is mostly people 30s and up. Their menu of food is nice, they have a really tasty greek platter with warm hot fresh pita slices! It is a little pricey tho. The magaritas are what got me tho! They taste fresh and they even use real fruit slices and the flavor ha a crisp to it. I just wish the bartender was a little friendlier tho.

    Cool, funky, swank bohemian spot in Carmichael.  Great square shaped bar, cool booths, pretty good beer and wine selection, delicious food and good people.  I could come here every day.

    Not too shabby for a sleepy suburb such as Carmichael.  The food IS good here.  The drinks are good too.  Although, could use a change on the wine menu...it's been the same since I've been going there (3+ years). Bartenders are awesome.  I think the best nights to go are Thursday and Friday. No live music, just a selection or playlist of the bartenders choosing - mostly 80s rock and variations.  Starting at 9ish, you'll see one spectrum of the clientele, which is mostly from the neighborhood and the later & longer you stay, you'll see a completely different demographic. The Sunday Trivia nights are a lot of fun!  Wish it started earlier though and a good place during the winter to watch football games!

    This is a great place for a solid drink in a comfortable environment.  The riff raff will not slow you down coming to party here.  The only reason that this place does not receive 5 stars is because the regular drinks that are a bit weak are 6 bucks.  They should be 4.50 or 5.

    Decent priced drinks, cozy atmosphere.  Should be known as 'Cougartown.'

    Little dark to read the menu, but great bartenders and reliable food. Plus, it is actually a great place to network.

    The Luna Lounge...more like the Cougar Lounge hahaha

    I guess this place is cool for the rich Carmichael folks, but it's definitely an older crowd and very expensive. As for these photos, I have no idea where they came from, but I have never seen a belly dancer there. Maybe they've changed things up since I was there last though.

    What Luna lounge is this. The one I go too doesn't have belly dancers.  The room doesn't look like this

    This is definitely an upscale hangout in Carmichael.  I've been here on many occasions but never had a chance to sample their food, until Tuesday night.  They have a great special that includes a large delicious gourmet pizza and a bottle of wine for $25!  The pizza had a crispy thin crust with fresh mozzarella, bacon, caramelized onion and arugula.  Amazing!  This will definitely be a Tuesday ritual for me!  The drinks are great and the wine list offers a great selection.  There are also large TVs for viewing sporting events, good music and a wide selection of seating.  My only negative thought is that it tends to attract an older crowd... but after a few drinks it always makes for interesting conversation!

    This was a nice place...,plasma tv for sport watching, booths that are comfy, nice bar...how come I have never been here! Really attentive staff...the Steak Sliders were perfect and I think the ambiance is just right for a Sat night casual cocktail w/a friend..we were able to catch up and have a good convo here. Not to packed when I was there that night but folks kept coming past the 10' O Clock hour...hmm...we had to leave shortly after but overall my quick hour stay there was nice and planning to go back especially for one of those Martini's they were making!

    Food is excellent. I love having dinner and drinks in this place. It gets awfully crowded in here on Friday and Saturday nights. Drinks are great, strong and made correctly. The bartending is outstanding, conversation and service-wise. Eli, the bartender on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday is a hit! You can't miss with this guy. If you don't have a good time with this guy, you shouldn't be out at a bar because you obviously suck.
    Higher end patrons make for a nice environment, a little on the douche side but still chill.  NOT a dive bar.

    I don't get out much at night, because I have two kids.  I've been to this place a couple of times, though, and I like it!  I really can't stand those clubs and bars where there is a $1 cocktails for an hour.  You know the kind I mean?  All the young kids with no money are rushing up to get those watered down drinks.  Or the neighborhood bars that are a hole in the wall, with the old lady behind the bar that is super grouchy and slow.  I read what people wrote about cougars here, but I don't see many cougars, unless I'm just too old to know.  Oh no, maybe I'm a cougar!  I like that the food is from the Bella Bru kitchen, because their food rocks.  Two thumbs up for this place.  Great food, great service, and great drinks!

    NOTE:  I wrote this last year and have never posted it.  Please take that into consideration as we have not been back since (we've been to Bellw several times up front).

    We've been here several times but last night's service and meal was not what we we're used to which is the basis for the 2 star rating. Our wine sat at the bar for 15 minutes while our waitress socialized. Finally got our warm white wine and ordered our dinner. The special summer salad was not worth the $9.95 they charged- 4 thin slices of nectarines, a few sliced strawberries, 2 half slices of bacon and some greens. Good but not worth the money. We shared the margarita pizza/flatbread. My first thought when it came out was "WTH- who puts marinara sauce on a margarita pizza?" there was tons of it and it was smoky flavored. Not our top trip to Luna. Hope they get it together as we really like going there.

    This Place is Awesome! very relaxing and always a good time. the bartenders and hella easy going and laid back. Eli is one of them and he knows how to make a legit drink

    I like the bartender here! I *think* his name is Eli? But he's awesome! (I may be mixing him up with my triple rock bartender) And I know I've eaten the food here and I've liked it, just can't remember what I ate. Its actually a really cool bar for being located in a quiet suburb.

    Now my gripe: snooty people. I was in jeans and a nice jacket, nothing special and I got some dirty looks from other patrons! Please, you're in Sacramento! And you're not even downtown! I work in downtown San Francisco and I don't ever get the guff I did that night for wearing what I did. But I can't knock the restaurant for that, all the staff members are super nice.

    Who would have thought this tiny little neighborhood bar connected to a cafe would be so crowded with such a blend of young people who I swear cannot really be 21 and a decently sized collection of cougars and old guys. ha ha

    Gotta love neighborhood watering holes! True, this place is nicer than a diver bar, and they serve the same food that Bella Bru serves next door plus an added bar menu, but if you come here with a big group, there likely won't be room for all of you since this small bar gets bopping. Who knew Five Points could be a cool hang out, eh?

    There are some booths around the edges, a small number of beers on tap and pretty attentive service too. So another good average bar in the Carmichael area I say. But next time you could fill my wine glass a little more heh

    My brother, roommate and myself ran in on a Sunday night just for one drink.  Well...four drinks later we were in last place for trivia night.  It was a blast and we all learned a few things we didn't know the answer to before that night.  I had the tuna melt, which was really good and the fries were even better.  I will be a repeat customer, whether they want to be or not!!

    Disappointing -I was really hoping for a bit more service and care for the cost. I had a group of girlfriends who were going to Luna one night and I could not join them so I called in to order them a round of drinks on me. I realize this is a little out of the ordinary, but not out of the realm of reality. I ordered 3 drinks and for my friends and added a generous tip. I was VERY clear and they repeated my order back to me correctly. Once my friends got there the people at Luna lounge only brought them 2 drinks and because my friends were informed there would be three drinks they questioned it and the Bartender assured them I only ordered two drinks. Not a huge deal in the scope of life, but disappointing.

    This place is more queer than a $3 bill. The food is average and the bar is full of old gold digging housewives of Carmichael. It is a so-so bar trying to disguise itself as a classy lounge.

    I don't think this place is terrible by any means, but it doesn't really have many attractive features besides that fact that it is convenient if you are in the area.

    So we went back on Friday night... and sat in the corner for 20+ minutes without anyone talking to us. No one gave us a menu, water, asked us how we were doing, nothing. They served the guys next to us, but NOBODY said anything to us. Absolutely unreal.

    We left and went to Miyagi. The dinner and service were great.

    This place rocks, but only because they have Eli the bartender working there. It's all about him being fun, personable and acting like he remembers you. No, wait. He does!

    They also have special events like Trivia Night and special wine tastings.

    Food = So-so, used to be much, much better.
    Drinks = Good.
    Ambience = Great small, classy neighborhood bar.
    TVs = Yes
    Crowded = Can be.

    This place is Cheers with better drinks and good food. They've been cursed with revolving chef syndrome, but that seems to have ended, and the kitchen is now putting out some really interesting dishes. Some long-time patrons lament the loss years ago of nachos, it's time to get over it boys- the menu is simply doing too many great dishes to worry about it.

    Last week a new pizza debuted studded with house-made duck prosciutto. A thin, crispy crust topped with house-made tomato sauce, cheese, the duck and fresh arugula. Really, really delicious with the salty, earthy duck a foil against the sharp arugula.

    For those of you looking for comfort food, you can't go wrong with the burger and fries or the mushroom meatloaf. Both are perfect for a quick meal. It must be said, some menu items seem a little pricy, but if you're at Bella Bru looking for gargantuan portions on the cheep, go elsewhere. This is a restaurant-bar in on Fair Oaks Blvd. in Carmichael for goodness sake. Food: 4 stars

    Luna Lounge is a bar, and that starts with B and that rhymes with D and that stands for Drinks! The drinks staff at Luna is top notch: courteous, swift, and funny. The headliner is Eli, very knowledgeable, very professional, very glib. He's likely to good naturedly rib the occasional patron, particularly if pompous. Stay calm! It's all in jest. The bar features a good selection of wines by the glass, and a great selection of classic cocktails. Don't be afraid to order something different, new or old: the Luna management is enthusiastic about the art of cocktails (they use fresh-squeezed juices!). Make their day, order something that requires skills beyond pulling a beer.  Drinks: 5 stars

    There is nothing like Luna Lounge in the neighborhood, so step up and keep this little gem going!

    Although this revision does not affect the number of stars, I just had to rewrite my last review.

    Came here three weeks ago to meet up with a friend. We had the meat platter, some calamari and, of course, drinks. I was in a beer mood, so had a pint of Sierra Nevada. It was happy hour, so you have to take advantage of that!

    What I wasn't too thrilled about was the food. The meat platter was $10.95 and came with three measly pieces of "crostini" (think miniature savory biscotti) and a few cold cuts. The prosciutto, or it could have been parma ham, consisted of a few transparent slivers. For the price, they could have been more generous. We also had to ask for more of the crostini as three little pieces between two hungry women does not go far.

    The calamari at $8.95 tended to be on the greasy side and there were even leftovers. I didn't even bother to bring them home for the chickens! (Yes, I have backyard chickens, don't tell anyone!)

    So bottom line, I would not come here for the food. Probably a good place to come after you've had a decent meal elsewhere or want a drink before dinner. Their cocktails are still wonderful and the happy hour is good too - wish the times were listed on their website, but I recall meeting my friend before 6:00.

    My friend worked here and invited me for a drink afterwards.  I agreed and begrudgingly drove the distance from midtown to get out here.  The bartenders are SUPER friendly and respectful.  They strike just the right balance between being attentive and classy.  I thought the cutest thing was when I asked (unknowingly) the green bar back to taste the Carneros Creek, He said "Sure...ahh, is that a tequila?"  (It's wine, a Pinot they have).  The bartender cuffed his ear and we all had a little laugh.  I was here on a Friday night between 11 and 12:30.  The crowd is 40-50's it seems, but everybody was friendly and having a great time.  It seemed like a neighborhood dive bar with its regulars but certainly not in the atmosphere.  Has Stella on tap, decent wine selections.  The only thing I didn't ilke is the fact that the kitchen was closed when I got there (11:00pm).  I was looking forward to a late night snack.  But otherwise, great place.

    I absolutely love this place. Brandon, the new head chef is awesome! The pizza and the sliders are delicious, definitely not your average bar food. The bartenders are super friendly and pretty cute :) The decor is very comfortable and a little swanky. It's a good escape from the normal sac bar. Get off the Internet and go to Luna! You won't be disappointed!

    I just went to Luna Lounge for their wine pairing.  This was the second one and they do these the 1st Monday of every month.  Where do I even start!  The food was unreal.  I honestly didn't feel like I was in Sacramento. We had lamb, sushi, halibut, cheeses, strawberey pound cake, the list goes on....and there was a wine pairing with each dish! Holey Moley amazing. They have new head chef there and let me tell you if you haven't ate there you need to go NOW!!!!!  I've also been there on just the regular nights as well and the servers and bartenders are great. I've never had a bad experience there.

    This place is bad ass.  Great cocktails and wine by the glass list.  Even better apps.  Try the grilled artichoke or steak sliders.  Very good use of the space they have and top notch service.

    Cozy and chic! Great local bar! We have been here a few times now and we haven't been disappointed. The bartenders are good, and friendly. There are a mix of business people, cougars, and couples. We usually start with the calamari for an appetizer and go from there. They also have special events here, with live music. Worth trying out for sure!

    This is a fun local spot and I'm glad it's there nowadays. There didn't used to be any decent night spots in this part of Sac/Carmichael. Eli and the rest of the staff are truly friendly, the drinks are stiff, and the decor is classy. They event have an awesome music playlist going almost every night.

    Sunday is a decent, though crowded, pub trivia night. The pretty girls are always out and about, so dress to impress.

    Great neighborhood bar! My dad actually told me that I had to check this place out for it's "killer happy hour", which goes from 2-6. They have some great beers on drafts and Eli can mix up some stiff cocktails if you are in the mood to get swilly.
    I have eaten here on a few occastions, once was just the calamarie fritti which was excellent, another when I ordered the marinated grilled vegetable pizza (sooo good) and the other was for dinner with mom where we split the ceasar and one of the specials.  Now online I have noticed that they have not updated the dinner menu, as well as the daily specials as they have expanded the menu. You would think that a bar wouln't serve such great and innovative food but the chefs know what's up.
    The vibe is very chic and swanky, with a mix of people. ie cougars, couples, people doing work while throwing a few back, dudes enjoying some seasonable sports on the flat screen tvs, as well as a few youngin's like myself who enjoy getting buzzed with the rents :-) My only complaint about this place is that it can get VERY loud due to the small amount of space (it's a square bar), so if you are looking for a quiet dinner, I would not suggest Luna.
