Came for lunch while visiting friends in Greenville. Â The two standout things from our visit were the beer paddle (love to see those anywhere, especially with this extensive of a selection), and the catfish taco. Â One of the best fish tacos I've ever had, and if you knew me, you'd know that's saying something! Â My husband got the combo platter, and said it was pretty good. Â But we've had better barbecue and mac and cheese in Cleveland, so I imagine there are much better options for those things in SC.
Review Source:This seemed to be just another Greenville sports bar BUT the Friday happy hour gets it 4 stars. Â Cheap and STRONG mixed drinks - 2-3$ appetizers. Â You really can't go wrong. Â Also encouraged beer sampling.
Wife and I went here after work and left full and with a nice buzz for under 20$.

Located in the West End of Greenville, near Fluor Field. This is a good place to start out the evening on your way up Main Street or grab a beer after a ball game.
Mac's has a very expansive beer list, rivaling places like Barley's. I don't find the food particularly appetizing, but that's not why I come here. There are plenty of TVs to watch any football or hoops game that you want, and often you can get the staff to queue it up with sound.
Monday night is a good night with half off all taps and wine. A quirk that they brought with them from Charlotte, is all beer measured at greater than 7.5% alcohol gets poured in 14oz tulip. I could go without this...
I enjoy the patio during the summer, let's hope the service can improve a little bit - so we can enjoy Mac's throughout next  baseball season.
Every table we tried to sit at was dirty, had to grab napkins off the bar to attempt to clean off a table to sit at.  Waitress brought drinks pretty quickly but we had to ask for a menu (why should a customer have to ask for a menu at a restaurant?).  Brought menu and said she would be right back to get our order, after 30mins we started to look around for her, 10 mins after that  we finally spotted her sitting down at a table with another employee (who was eating at a customer table - not professional).  When she noticed we had spotted her she finally came back, and with the attitude of a child who just got caught with their hand in cookie jar, asked what we wanted to order.  We were so disgusted at the service and lack of cleanliness we just asked for our check.  When the waitress noticed we did NOT give her a tip (because she did not earn one - no servers who are not entitled to a tip for bad service).  She began to argue with us, we simply got up and left never to return.  Service matters people and for one I am not going to give my hard earned money to establishments who don't train their staff on proper professional service and who don't get rid of those employees who refuse to be trained!
Review Source:The name doesn't match the atmosphere. I was thinking it would be more biker themed but it was just an average sports bar. The grilled wings are good. Service was ok. The location is great. I would go back but it won't be a regular thing I don't think. I am a sportbike rider and I do like to see the other bikes parked out there. I may give it another go on Saturday.
Review Source:Since I'm not a big BBQ person at all the fact that I'm reviewing Mac's at all is probably not fair. Â While my beer can chicken was fine, there are two big wins about Macs that would make me go back. Â No. 1 is the sides. Â Practically everyone in my group got the green bean casserole and mac and cheese as there two sides. Â They may not have been the best I ever had but they were tasty and indulgent and I love a place that makes me feel like those are acceptable sides.
Second thing I love about Macs are the beer paddles. Â You choose four samples from an extensive beer list, and it's great to share with friends or get yourself instead of ordering one drink. Service wasn't great when I was there for dinner. Â I'd go again but it's not gonna be my every week jam.
mac's speedshop has great outdoor seating... they have a large inside as well, but the outside is truly where it's at. Â there is a pretty good selection of beers, and sizes of beers. Â they have great wings, smoked, which is nice... sometimes they have bands inside. Â they can get busy, so service can be a little slow, but everyone has always been polite and helpful.
Review Source:finally back for a second try i was very pleased with the sausages and the sliced brisket it was great. the last time i was in the food was not that great  it was much better  with the exception of the texas toast being stale
we sat at the bar and we still had to flag down the bartender to get service even though it was not that full. when will wait staff and servers learn that the better the service the more they make  i would rate it a 4 star for food and a 1 for service
we even got a  rude greeting form one of the servers when we came in the back door looking for a place to sit (there were plenty) and she had an attitude very unfriendly i think this place would be great if they could get the service right
Ehhhh, I've definitely been to better BBQ joints. Server seemed like she didn't want to be there though she put in plenty of "darlings" and "sweethearts" to procure a decent tip. Mac and cheese was solid but a bit too buttery. The BBQ was tasty and a healthy serving, but it lacked much more.
Half-off wine on Mondays was great though, and we were rewarded with a giant glass of merlot for $2.
I'd come back again, but mostly for the location and size of the restaurant... Not so much for the food.
Hm, service was average and despite dozens of beers they have no non-alcoholic beers. At least one would have been nice. Anyway, patio is very nice and to get a table within 20 minutes on a Saturday is not to bad either.
But the food ... dude ... brisket was tough, ribs were average, cheddar grits did neither taste like cheddar nor grits ... Â
But with interior and location it still gets 3 stars
