I like this place, but it is nothing special - one of many of the same type of upscale "irish" bars - think katie mullins, landsdowne arms, etc.

Good food, good beer. Good place to sit at the bar and watch some baseball and have a few cold ones.

My biggest problem is that they got rid of the 2 for 1 happy hour on select beers, which would have kept bringing me back. now it's just another bar with ok prices and is close to my work...

I have seen the restaurant for a whole now and kept meaning to try it.  My wife and I went today finally and I was impressed.  The service was good and the food was good.  My wife had the fish and chips and I had the bangers and mash.  Very good choices.  There aren't too many restaurants near here, but this would be a good one if there were. Will try it again and recommend it.

We came here last night for dinner and made sure to hit the happy hour, based on the fact that 90% of the below reviews talk about it. The parking lot is definitely tight for close spaces. Not spaces in general, just spaces right near the restaurant. There are plenty in the back parking lot and the lots to the side for the other restaurants. This is an excellent time to get some walking in before eating pub food.

We waited at the front desk for a few minutes before a server popped by and quickly showed us to a table. We were seated in the back in the hallway leading to the restroom. It was kind of quiet and there was plenty of light. Our server was over quickly, which was perfect so we could place a drink order. Turns out the 2 for 1 is only on wells and wine. Beer specials apply to select beer types. I ordered a pinto grigo and my husband had a beer. Our drinks arrived quickly and both were nice and cold. I got the signature 'ticket' for my free drink and confirmed that this could be brought back at any time during a happy hour, for my 2nd drink. Good thing as glasses of wine are $6.50.

Food wise, to start I ordered a cup of tomato artichoke soup and my husband had the french onion. We also ordered the southwest philly and the Guinness BBQ bacon burger. Our soup came out quickly and was nice and hot. My soup primarily tasted like a creamy tomato with a lot of acid. Little distinguished the presence of artichokes. But it was tasty and quite filling. My husband enjoyed his soup and it smelled good like sherry.

I had the philly and it was really good. The beef was super tender and it wasn't very spicy. It could do without the shredded lettuce as that just wilted due to the hot filling. The fries were well seasoned and nice and thin. They stayed hot until after I had finished my sandwich, which was impressive. My husband greatly enjoyed his burger and it was huge. He took half of his meal home, for example.

Overall the service is very good and prices are right for the menu items. The patio looks like a nice place to relax on a warm day and they have a fireplace going for colder times. Sure, go for the happy hour, but outside of that time, it would still be a good choice.

    Eat here regularly.

Good food, service and a nice place.   The bad is that this place gets busy at times and parking can be a pain.

Best Irish fare around these parts.  Great food and taps.  Also worth mentioning are the awesome happy hour deals!  Will be back many more times :)

So a friend won a Happy Hour for 10 friends -- you don't need to ask me twice to check a new place AND eat free food!

However, parking was a total pain!  Few parking places were available on a Friday evening around 5:30pm unless you want to park in a muddy, non-paved area where people were parking willy-nilly.  Yeah, no thanks.  If I didn't have 9 friends waiting inside, I would have just gone home.  Instead I drove around and around and around until I found a place WAAAAAAY across the plaza.

The place was packed inside, but surprisingly was not loud and it was much more spacious inside that I expected.   For our Happy Hour we had three appetizers -- crunchy,  moist gyozas, a veggie plate with ranch and club sandwiches.  The gyoza was pretty good, the rest of the choices were, well, they were.  Know what I mean?

The beer selection was nice and the whisky choices broad.  These two things will bring me back - if I can find a parking spot.

A friend tried the "Banana Bread" beer.   Interesting.  Very interesting.  My eyes said "BEER!", my taste buds said BANANA BREAD!" and my brain was completely puzzled by the combination.  The other specialty beer on draft was a chickory stout, which I tried and liked.

As for being an Irish pub?  Meh.  Didn't strike me as a "pub".  It's a crowded bar in a plaza.  Not that this is a bad thing, but "pub" and "Irish" it isn't.

Since they were packed, service was a bit slow.

I think I'll check them out again on another night when it might not be so crowded to check out the rest of the menu and let you know!

Above average pub food...my husband and I enjoyed our burgers.  The happy hour special is a great deal: 2 for 1.  They give you a ticket for the second drink to use at a later time if you want.  Our waiter was really attentive.  The patio has a fire pit and looks perfect for a nice night.  The night we went, they brought in an Irish band.  It gave the place a good vibe.  Overall, I'm impressed.  I'll definitely be back.

I don't give out many 5 stars but I feel Maggie Smiths has earned this rating.  The food is much much better than the run of the mill Irish pub.  Salads, wings, burgers, fish and chips are all excellent.  The shepards pie is first rate.  It doesn't hurt that they host Irish bands on a regular basis.  I like Maggie Smiths

Good food great specials and happy hour prices but nothing special I would not go out of my way to visit this place.  More of a good local pub.

This place is actually a lot bigger inside than it looks. Have only been here on afternoons on weekends, when it seems way to big for only the handful of customers in there.  Green walls do not make a place Irish, though some of the decor is nice.  Great wrap around bar, and the staff are very friendly.

Had lunch here both times. Burgers were cooked to perfection on the first round and the corned beef sandwich on the second was delicious.  Was nervous about trying the bangers and mash, so I opted for a cup of onion soup with my sandwich. Thank God I didn't order the bowl. I can't remember now if they said it was Thyme or Rosemary seasoned, but I CAN tell you they put in way too much. The only thing good about the soup was the cheese and bread if you could get the seasoning off of it. Even the onions were bitter from it.

Still worth a shot if you need a good drink and a snack.

Good combination of bar and restaurant with about 10-20 TVs. Not too loud and kid friendly. Prices are bit higher than dive bars but the environment is nicer plus they have outdoor patio with a fire pit.

Happy Hour get the $5 sliders and lots of Irish beers on draft.

Maggie Smith's is one of my family's go-to restaurants and I'm glad I had a chance to check it out when I was in town.

It's has a pub vibe:  a big wrap-around bar, hardwood floors, dark wood, plenty of flat screen TVs and a couple traditional bar games (I think I spied a dart board in the back).  If you buy two drinks you'll get a ticket for a free one on your next visit (I think that's how it works...I don't drink so I wasn't paying much attention...).

The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed the pear and Gorgonzola salad with grilled chicken. It was a decent size and the ingredients were fresh, crisp and (in the case of the chicken), tender.

A solid place to grab a bite and a brew.

I've been here a couple times for happy hour.  Some friends won a happy hour and invited me to share.

The staff is always friendly and attentive.  I asked for club soda and they kept it topped off the entire night.  The Happy Hour specials are great 2 for 1.

Best thing is that when you order 2 for 1 happy hour they bring you your first drink and then provide a ticket for your 2nd drink.  You can use it on that visit or bring it back and use it later.  I think that they think ahead and don't want you to have warm beer.

I've had apps and a burger and it is good solid bar food.

Food is usually pretty good...service is spotty
Ate lunch on the patio today and a super inefficient waiter...he had no clue how to multitask or check drinks or remove empty glasses while he was near our table checking on another table. We giggled about it because at one point we each (party of 4) had at least 2 empty glasses on the table while he went to get refills....maybe he had alot going on but all the more reason to think strategically about being most efficient at each stop...not to mention it was warm in the sun and we drank more and faster.
We'll go back for sure but avoid the tall dopey blond dude's section.

What a lovely outside patio and yet NOT DOG FRIENDLY- I of course only write great and not so much reviews on places that are dog friendly or not. With an direct entrance to the patio, it is easy to welcome us with a wallet full of money and our well trained dogs.

So they get a bark bark bark for not dog friendly
The food was less than average bar food and the wait staff was not prepare for a large group of bikers.
We will scratch them off the list of go to, great dog friendly places to hang out.

Great friendly last night staff.  Awesome happy hour.  Menu could be expanded and may a more vibrant bar could be desired, but everything else about is awesome.  Maybe more food specials.

Went this past Thursday for family happy hour. This place has two happy hours; one from 3-7pm and the other from 10 or 11 to close. Draughts, select wines, and wells are buy one get one free which is a bonus. Lots of happy hour menu choices food-wise. Parents had the nachos which they seemed to like. Gf had the French dip which she enjoyed and I went traditional with the bangers and mash. Let me say, hard to find good, traditional bangers in the area and these are A-ok! Great flavor!
Staff was very attentive and friendly, good atmosphere and very clean. Only downside is parking; the parking lot is small and not equipped for larger vehicles or even for vehicles to pass by side by side but does have an open parking lot across the street which is merely a minor inconvenience. We will definitely be back.

I come here at least once a month  with my coworkers at lunch. My overall experience had been great. I've only had one unsatisfactory server who was extremely slow and just seemed clueless. Every other time food and drinks are served promptly. I like the salmon dishes. I would like to come to a happy hour during the weekend, but don't live near enough. I hear its excellent.
My only food complaints being, there is  barely any crab in the crab cakes and I didn't care for the chicken tenders.

Randomly found this place and went there for dinner and drinks during happy hour. Drinks are 2 for 1 on a good selection during happy hour and I know they have a happy hour food menu but we ordered off the regular menu. The food was great! Got a Guiness BBQ burger and I was pretty impressed! I'm sure the other food there is great. A little out of the way for me but I would definitely recommend trying it!

This place has a great Happy Hour...and it is not just at the bar.   2 for 1 anywhere in the place.  The food is good and beer is unique.  A great place to meet friends.

I stopped in to have a drink during happy hour with some friends.  The place was quite a bit bigger on the inside than I had expected.  The seating was ample and the televisions were abundant.  I did like the 2 for 1 happy hour specials.  Happy hour is every day from 3 PM - 7 PM and 11 PM - Close.  You get "Two-for-Ones" on Select Drafts, House Wines By The Glass, and All Wells.  On top of this, the "daily special" on Saturdays and Sundays is an ALL DAY happy hour.  Pretty sweet indeed!

This is a true "2 for 1" and not a 1/2 price deal.  I do have to give them kudos, however.  They will stagger your 2 drinks, so you don't have a warm beer waiting when you finish the 1st one.  Also, I had never seen this before, they will even give you a "free drink" receipt, so that you can enjoy your 2nd drink on a later visit if you wish.  The appetizer I sampled (Irish Potato Nachos: Seasoned waffle fries topped with shredded cheese, black beans, jalapeno peppers, tomatoes, and black olives. Served with guacamole, sour cream and salsa) was pretty heavy and rather greasy, but still quite tasty.  The waitstaff seemed very attentive.  I will definitely be coming back for future happy hours.

We stopped in to watch a football game. The TV's and the seating are plentiful. And the service is good. We've enjoyed their other restaurant at Landmark called Slatterty's. But just when you thought you settled into an "Irish Pub" and on a cold winter night had a craving for corned beef and cabbage... keep driving. Seriously. They have a really nice menu and there are lots of options. The other meal we ordered was perfect. Do not miss the strawberry salad even if it is as a side. You'll be back for that one. But how on earth can you spend the money to open an "Irish Pub", buy signage calling yourself an "Irish Pub", blow open at least two walls to expand the place, pony up for some decent "Irish Pub" wall decor, deep dark wood appointments and then open a package of thinly sliced, (like making a sandwich - thin) processed corned beef and layer it cold on top of cabbage from a jar and mashed potatoes and call yourself an "Irish Pub"?

Great place for happy hour. 2 for 1's. After that it gets pretty pricey. Food is over priced. Service for the most part is good. If your there to watch a game, have some drinks and a bite to eat. Save your money and go to Jds. Drinks are almost half the price.

I went here for lunch on Monday. They weren't crowded got right in for a table. I ordered a hamburger with pepper jack cheese, mushrooms and avocado. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion, a dill pickle spear and French fries. The burger was cooked properly and it was served on a super soft Kaiser roll. The tomato, avocado and lettuce were fresh. My disappointment came in the fact that I know the mushrooms were not fresh. They tasted canned and pretty much ruined it for me. The French fries were just ok and not memorable.

The waiter kept my drink full; the restaurant and bar were very clean. I liked the decor and the music was nice they played Irish bands the entire time we were there. Overall I might try this place again but not a must-return experience.

Well, if you want to drink this place might be ok. I see they have a lot of unique beers. But, if you are looking for food you should go somewhere else.
If this is a traditional Irish Pub the Irish people must have pretty damn boring food.
In fact, This Maggie Smith must know Mrs. Paul, because she borrowed her recipe for Fish Sticks.
    Not good.

And the diet Coke is mixed so badly that it is barely distinguishable as being a beverage.
One of the cute waitresses must have broken the heart of the delivery guy who sets the ratios of syrup and quinine water.

Find a better place to eat dinner.

I'm a frequent visitor and always enjoy it.  Same ownership as Slattery's in Landmark, but I prefer Maggie Smiths, you don't have to hassle with the impossible parking and upscale prices.   The entire staff is great - very friendly and accommodating.  Food is quite good and they have a great happy hour.  The bar is quite large with many TV's for sports viewing.  I'll be going back (again).

I work in Centennial, and have been here for lunch about 4 times or so.. It is a welcome break from hamburgers, burritos and Subway sandwiches, indeed. I have tried several things from the menu, and they've all been delicious. The portions are good, and most plates come with fries and a pickle. If you enjoy a beer with your meal, they have you covered, as well.

I really don't have anything bad to say about them. Only four stars because I'm not feelin' as gregarious as usual.. :)

You know how people oftentimes remember where they were at when significant historic things occur?  Well, I was at Maggie's Smith's (I think Maggie's isn't supposed to be plural) when Casey Anthony was announced to be innocent.  Triva moment is complete.

The ambience of the joint is dark.  I know, weird right?  Who's ever heard of a dark Irish pub?  They've got a couple TVs and a healthy amount of tables.  I like to judge an Irish place by their fish and chips, so that's what I had.  They do have a number of other British/Irish dishes as well as what I'd term a "regular" bar menu.  The fish and chips was a solid 3 star dish, with nothing overly memorable.  Service was OK as well.

Will I stop in again?  Sure.  Will I make it a point to go there if I'm not in the neighborhood?  Probably not.
