It's an irish bar...any average irish bar is still an inviting place to have a few drinks and maybe passable food. Rory Dolan's is still my fav, but this place has a nice outside roof area with its own bar.

Maggie's is clean, has a really nice, friendly staff.
Would be great if they had some buybacks now and then, but with how busy it is in there, I doubt they need to be giving away the drinks.
The food is pretty good, not stellar.  Best bets are burgers and a few of their salads (I like the beet salad in particular).
This is a go to spot as well because of the beautiful rooftop bar, which is currently in expansion.  Looking forward to that!

Checked out this place for lunch.  This is a good bar with an average beer selection.   I tried the fish tacos, which would have been a better if they didn't deep fry the fish.  I also had the appetizer combo, which was fried a little too long to the point that it all tasted the same.

I would have rated it two stars if it was just the food, but the waitress was really nice and I used a Groupon that basically covered the food costs and beer.  Overall, I would go back for a drink, but not in the evening when the music is loud and the place is really crowded.

I have gone to Maggies several times, I consider myself a regular, great happy hour, depending which server I get, sometimes they top off my glass of wine, yeaaa, typical bar food, lively crowd especially on a friday night....We go out a lot, this place probably has the best servers we have had.   Would have given it a 5-star but you have to watch what food you order, wings great, sliders good, spinach/artichoke dip stay away from. We will be going back next Friday..love this place.

I went to see the UFC fight over the weekend and they didn't play the audio of the event. Unbelievable!!! we asked the management and server and they declined to accommodate. The worse part was, they charged everyone $10.00 to get in . They had a DJ that played music that most of the patrons did not want to hear. We ordered food and that was ok. I would never go to another event there however. I was very disappointed.

After Mickey's, we hit its sister bar Maggie's.

Much smaller bar than both Mickey's and Molly's (Mamaroneck), but the difference is they have a rooftop.

The crowd here was the latter-20s, Yonkers hood, and MV ghetto. Not really my scene, grabbed a table, another beer, danced to some good music. Left as the real white trash streamed in.

I'm sure this is the 'spot' in the summer. It was last year. Problem is age.

This place is pretty damn cool!

Ultimate after work spot.  Just watch the meters thats all.  Everyone seems really chill and out for a good time.  So if you're out to reconnect with old friends or make some new ones hit this place up.  Bartenders and waitstaff are friggin great.  Drinks are yummy, prices reasonable and teryaki wings are dynamite!

Maggie's gets my happy hour stamp of approval!

MY favorite out of all the Spillane's. Thank goodness they expanded. It was way too small before.  The rooftop is really great. There's a bar, tables, and flatscreens now.

I like everything I've had there, especially the spicy Chicken club! Still haven't seen it on the menu but when I ordered a turkey club, the waitress asked me if I wanted a Spicy Chicken club. It was delicious! They should put that on the menu.

It gets a little packed and sweaty on the weekends but it's a nice place to chill out during the week (still a decent crowd).

It's a great place for Sunday football!!

The food  here is basic not good or bad.  But Beware!  the drink prices are not on the up and up.  They charge more for a drink if you sit on the rooftop terrace!  Believe it or not.  They charge you for Absolut in a drink even if you don't order it.  Can you imagine ordering a sea breeze for $11.00!!! in Mt. Vernon.   A friend of mine ordered a well drink Sea Breeze and t hey charged her for an Absolut double - $11 bucks.  When we complained, the waitress said that prices are higher on the roof top than in the regular bar a few steps away????  And the Irish waitress with black hair when questioned  had an attitude to boot.  i will never go back.

I've lived in the area for a while and just visited the establishment for the first time.  It was a good first impression!  I love the rooftop bar.  It's a great place for having drinks, hanging out with friends, and meeting new people.  There is lots of young people (age 35 and younger).  The prices were excellent, and i didn't even go during happy hour!  The staff wasn't super friendly, but attentive.  Still the best rooftop in the area that i've been too... I'll be back!

Cool place to check out. Crowd was decent. Drinks were strong and decently priced. The girls were definitely tipsy by the time we got there - so that was a strong pro - the con was unless you had ten beers yourself, they weren't really what you'd want to bring home lol..

While driving through town I noticed that they served brunch, so my wife and I decided to stop by and check it out this morning.  I was surprised to only see only about 5 options for brunch but we decided on a western omelete & eggs Florentine.  We noticed that the brunch included a free mimosa but we weren't offered one when we sat.  After about 15 min, i asked the server for our mimosas and she said sure and brought us our drinks.  30 minutes have gone by and im starting to think this is a joke, and we are not getting our order.  I asked the server to check and she said she would do that.  I watched her for the next 10 minutes...not checking.  The final straw, was the delivery of another couples food who sat approximately 20 minutes after us.  We got up and left.

Do yourself a favor....avoid brunch here.  Nobody seemed to care.

Love this place. If you've been to the other Spillane restaurants, it's quite comparable to them, price and food-wise. The benefit over Molly's and Mickey's is the rooftop area! A shame it doesn't overlook something a bit nicer than Gramatan Ave in Mount Vernon, but still quite fun and a great place to be on a warm summer night.

Overall a nice bar scene, great place to go on the weekend, or even to stop by for a quick drink or two after work. Employees are always very nice and friendly.

Huge fan of Maggies. Food and drinks are priced well and atmosphere is awesome. However since I don't feel like a review is complete without a criticism I have to ask that they please inform the customer when they order onion rings which ones to expect. Their homemade ones are the best in the county. The fake ones are the worst in country. Hate when I order up for delivery and am surprised with the knock offs.

But that doesn't stop me from ordering again!

The prices were reasonable, the service was excellent, and the food was very good. The background music got a little loud later in the evening, mainly because of the hard floors and lack of sound deadening material.  But it's a good place for a meal, or to meet for drinks. I had the chicken pot pie and it was very well done. My friend had Atlantic salmon and he said it was good, too.  The dessert tray was neat! I had hot apple pie a la mode - delicious.  On Fridays, it starts getting crowded as the commuters tramp in, from the Fletwood train station.  They have karaokle and music thingies, but not while I was there.  They are tons of TV screens, and the place seemed neat and clean. Parking can be problematic at peak times. I just drive around the block one or twice and usually find a spot.

They are super at Spillanes & Maggies is near our new house.
it ROCKS on the weekends, but not great for an intimate quiet dinner as it's a night spot and new!  Staff is sweet and food is pretty good.  We take our clients there for lunch and it's always good and quiet enough to talk biz.  But, it's the place to meet in Mount Vernon these dazzsee!

Nicely set up Irish pub with a big open space. The GF and I went here to get a bite to eat before meeting friends for some adult beverages. They have a great beer selection with a lot of them on tap which I always like.  We skipped apps as we were a little pressed for time.  My GF got the sliders which were cooked perfectly and the fries were seasoned nicely and fresh. I got the fish and chips but instead of chips I got the curry fries. The fish was great breaded nicely and fried perfectly, but Oh man the curry fried were awesome. I wanted to get some in a to-go cup it was so good. Definitely a must get.  Our waitress was really great, came around a lot and was really friendly. If I'm in the area I'll definitely be back for those fries......and beer of course.

Have been to Maggies for take out, lunch, dinner/drinks, and brunch and have been satisfied each time. Took out the first time, was met with an irish brogue, and while prices at first glance seemed to be a tad more than say the BBQ house down the street, the portions are generous. About 8 of us crammed into a booth the second time, and we were all happy with our choices... and while we were told the chefs really stick to the menu, when we asked if an ingredient could be left out etc, it was honored without a problem. Brunch comes with a mimosa (to just make your day 1 mimosa better) which was delicious next to my french toast. The night we went for dinner, I was bummed out and just wanted good food and a drink... well I hadn't had a "snake bite" since I studied abroad in the U.K. Our waitress asked with bartender if he could make one and gave me a shots worth to make sure he got it right, which he did! Much appreciated that effort and will def. be back many more times for that taste of the U.K.

We ordered take out the other night and it was delicious!!! We ordered burgers and chicken quesadilla's...soo good! We are going to go eat there tonight and I can't wait.

Highly recommend Maggie Spillane's Ale House in Mount Vernon, NY...much better than the one in Mamaroneck.

Came here for a couple of drinks, the kitchen closes at 1030, so we enjoyed the bar but decided to come back to try lunch. Friendly, fast service, cool atmosphere.

The wife and i went on a Saturday for lunch. It has A Beer Roof Garden  and the service was excellent. Nice selection of beers and mix Drinks. My wife had a Black & Tan and I had a Black & Blue (Guinness and Blue Moon), as for the appetizer we had fish tacos and macaroni and cheese. and for lunch my wife had the chicken slider (wow you get 3 big ones ) and I had Philly cheese steak w/ sweet potato fries. can't wait to go back.

Another really good pub from the same people of Mickey's, Molly's and Nelly's.  This one is going to have a roof deck.  Can't wait to try it out.

The bar itself is much smaller than Mickey's and Molly's.  It is set up with a small bar to the left and tables in the middle and to the right.  It was packed the other night, but still really good.

The crowd had a good vibe and it wasn't hard to strike up some good baseball and hockey conversations.

The menu looked really good, but we had just eaten.  I'll definitely go back to give it a try though.
