Two trips being reviewed:
First trip: When I visited Bloomington to check out the town and school. I had a glass (okay, TWO large ones) of wine and a steak at the bar. It was all yummy. I was feeling a bit under the weather, it was cold, it was a Monday during finals, so this place was perfect.
Second trip: Came here with a group of friends. One of my friends took the liberty to order us some yummy appetizers before we got there. Thank you! We all ordered a variety of things and everything was tasty. I had chicken and it was very well prepared. Definitely enjoyed the meal, cocktails and the company.
Will be back.
Sweet memories always in my mind cant let its lost ! I celebrated my 2012's birthday here with my initiative friends last semester! Â Loved the feeling during that night !
Malibu Grill is really good at cook the seafood all the time. Better than pasta they served here ; )
You should try the blackened rare tuna, they used wasabi as a seasoning and make the tuna raw inside. Â What a perfect cooking! Sweet potato fries always fresh like the "farmer smell" !
Classy ambience, so its a little bit pricy. But its worthy.
I saw the scenes of made proposals of marriage more than twice here. In that time, I and my friends (also including all the customers dine in here) applauded. If you guys have a plan for proposal or date. I recommend this place for you. XD
We had a table of five eat here after the IU football game. The understandable wait (homecoming) was not an issue. It was the incredibly poor acoustics with the hard floors, no baffles and sports on TV with high volumes. Is this a sports bar or restaurant? I'm not opposed to a lively time on campus but, and this is true, I lost my voice after the meal because I was trying to enjoy the company of our table and we couldn't hear the person across the table. It didn't help that the 7 top seated behind us was a tad over-served and dropped the f-bomb every time Miami made a 2 yard gain (in a ND rout). The food was OK but $29 to $34 steaks are typically served with better ambiance and with better preparation. I had the scallops and penne pasta in a spicy sauce and it was okay. I won't return with family. I don't get to see my kids much so conversation is important....not at Malibu. Service was a 6 out of 10. Our water was refilled once and there were plenty of service folks around and moving...I just don't know why they were moving.
