This place has changed to be Slice Pizza Co. Â I am not sure if it is under new management or not. Â I stopped in for a slice and was disappointed, but I wouldn't have been surprised if I looked up the address first. Â As the other reviews mentioned, this place is really only open because of the lack of competition in the area. Â The pizza is sub par and the dining area is dirty. Â I would recommend staying away.
Review Source:1 star for the overall food and decor. Â 3 stars for the ice cream.
Formerly a Krony's Pizza, Mama Mia's is a popular take-out spot in the village of Churchville. Â
This Mama Mia's is not related to the Mama Mia's in Geneseo, NY.
During the warmer months, there is usually a small crowd of locals getting ice cream, as it is the only ice cream "stand" in the village. Â The pricing is a little more expensive than one would expect for its location, but there is no competition, not that the village could handle two ice cream stands. Â Serving sizes are decent and the selection is pretty good, with about a dozen or so choices.
Mama Mia's is really a take-out joint. Â They offer pizza, cold & hot subs, pasta dishes, wings, and other common take-out dinners. Â There is a seating area available inside, but the decor lends a visitor to think its not much more than a feeding spot, to stuff your face and then run. Â It is obvious the owners have not put any effort into enhancing the dinning area. Â Similarly with the ordering counter/kitchen area, there are no aesthetic improvements outside of a barren retail space. Â It is sad.
I've only had the food once, a cheesesteak bomber (sub) and a chicken parm bomber. Â The quality of the bread was piss poor, and the other ingredients/toppings were not much better. Â Based on this experience I don't think I will try their pizza as Churchville has a Pontillo's.
I suppose if I was terribly drunk, the food would have been fantastic, but they are open only until 9pm, so drink fast.
