Had breakfast here, French toast and ham. Food was good, kinda tough to screw up French toast. It came with a small cup of fruit and it was surprisingly fresh a d crisp, I expected soft and mushy.
The waitress was great, unfortunately didn't get her name. She replaced bacon with ham at my request and repeatedly refilled my coffee, a pet peeve of mine for breakfast. If at CVG will go back.
Eh, service was mediocre, actually mediocre is putting it mildly, the service was horrible. Tall blue moons for $4.75 but they were the weirdest tasting blue moon I have ever tasted. I think there was way too much carbonation in them. The food filled us up and overall the place was just somewhere to sit and kill sometime until our flight.
That's all. Thanks...maybe don't come again. ;)
Service was a little more than decent (there were some awkward moments I don't really remember).
The food was straight up diner food.
I liked how the beers were $3. They had this one local brew there that I recommend trying out.
Airport dining is one my favorite things to do and this spot is pretty ideal since they got lots of tables, a bar, and it's near the gates of an airline you might be using.
It's still better than airplane food and it's got a full bar. Â If you have the time, opt to eat here instead of on the plane, believe me, you will get hungry.
They kindly seated me in a corner booth that was close to an outlet so I could still work for the next 90 minutes (probably the most productive 90 minutes I had all week). Â Unfortunately wifi and AT&T reception is pretty dismal in this area so don't expect to surf the web.
I got a bunch of different food - the 3rd street salad (which was very tasty b/c it was drenched in fatty dressing) and the French Onion soup. Â It did a good job of tiding me over for a 5 hour flight!
This place was beyond bad, in almost all respects.
I never have very high expectations when I need to grab airport food, but I had an hour wait before my flight, and the gate was packed with tired families returning to Salt Lake, so I thought I'd drop by this restaurant/bar for a martini, some water and an appetizer.
To start, I think the waitress was confused by my request for a martini and a glass of water; they appeared to be combined.into the same glass, and I never got a separate glass of water. Â I've had great martinis, good martinis and mediocre martinis, but this was my first BAD martini. Â And to compound that, it ended up being a $12 watertini. Â
The chicken wings, which took 30 minutes to arrive, were fine, but nothing amazing. Â And they apparently figured that I could somehow get by with a tiny paper napkin, because that's what the silver was wrapped in when I got there, and there were no more napkins in sight.
Yeah, I know, I could have asked for another napkin or two, but there were no waitresses in sight, either.
Lastly, they put me at a table in the back part of the restaurant where there was no wi-fi connection; even my Verizon phone was getting no bars. Â No phone, no cell, long wait. Â Just what every traveler wants and needs.
You can do better anywhere else. The food and the attitude of the hostess were equally bad. This is one of those franchises that try to make it on their name and locations rather than the quality of their food. I have been several locations across the country and they are all the same BAD! Â Run don't just walk away from this place!
Review Source:Apple Pecan salad... hummm... that sounded good on the menu, so I ordered it. Â The maple vinaigrette dressing was really, really good... Â it had a little kick to it, as did the spicy pecans, which was plentiful. Â The lettuce blend was really good with a good mix of dried cranberries and blue cheese. Â The breadstick was right out of a plastic bag and hardly warmed up... that was a bummer and a half.
So.. the food was fairly good, why 2 stars? Â DIRTY DRINKING GLASSES. Â My glass appeared to have been last washed sometime during the Bush administration. Â There was finger and lip residue all over the glass. Â Ever heard of Cascade?? Â Dawn?? Water?? Â The waitress was not very welcoming or attentive, big let down there too.
I may have to skip going back when Im in the concourse.
Solid option if you're at CVG and have extra time before your flight. Ample seating area and friendly service. I had a half order of the southern fried chicken salad and a diet coke. The salad was fine. My one sip of the diet coke tasted funny (like a full sugar cherry coke) so the waitress offered to get me a new one or take it off the check.
Review Source:This place was huge! I made so many turns I think I go lost. Large tables, small tables, seating at the bar. They have any types of seating you may need.
They have your normal American food: salads, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, appetizers, a list of drinks and alcoholic drinks. Service was friendly and they got you what you needed and refills back to back. I ordered something I normally wouldn't get -- Hula Bowl (Mixed greens, pineapple-soy chicken, Mandarin oranges, fresh chunks of pineapple, tomatoes, carrots & crunchy noodles, with a fat-free honey mustard dressing.) -- it was okay. Wasn't too impressed. Maybe I'll hit up another category next time!
