What McCormicks lacks in ambiance, it makes up for in deliciousness.
Sure, it's not cushy. Â It's cramped, and the chairs are hard. But the staff is always very friendly and attentive, and the food is hot, fresh, and honest (homemade).
You will find cold and toasted sandwiches (but chips are extra, why?), horseshoes, warm, deluxe sandwiches (chicken breast, bbq, etc), and regular bbq platters on the menu.
I order the ponyshoe each time I come, and it never disappoints. Â McCormicks has a the usual suspects (hamburger, buffalo chicken, turkey), but has some unexpected choices as well (porkchop, bbq pork). Â The cheese is a little tangy and the fries are hot and seasoned as well. Â My favorite is the pulled pork ponyshoe.
All in all, a great place that deserves more business hidden away from the main road. Â Enjoy!
