McMenamins Cedar Hills Pub

Went here for lunch today with nine of my office mates.  Called ahead because of our head count but were told they don't take reservations.  Arrived and were seated on the patio....where it took twenty minutes for our drinks to arrive.  The gentlemen seated nearby ended up leaving before ordering because they saw how long we were waiting.  The food was really good, but took an hour and ten minutes to arrive.  We asked for the bill as soon as the food was delivered (since everything else had taken so long and we were now on a very long lunch hour) but had to ask at least two more times.  I asked the waiter for a 10-15% discount based on how long we had waited but was told no, that everybody goes to lunch at the same time.  And that they were busy because they had a large group with a reservation come in just before us (wait, you don't take reservations???).  We recommended they mention that to future customers since we might have gone somewhere else.  Really disappointed in the service and wait time.  How easy would it have been to take all the drink charges off the bill?  We had ice tea, diet cokes and water.  Would have gone a long way in satisfying the customer.  We will not be visiting them again.

A great standby. If only Beaverton had more to choose from. Service has gotten better over time but can still be hit-or-miss depending on the night.

I always forget about this McMenamins location but it is pretty handy when you are in the mood for some late night nibbles. They have an excellent Happy Hour which has cheap offerings. Personally I am a fan of their fish and chips...only I get plain tots. I adore their tarter sauce. I also recommend the spinach artichoke dip.

I was actually pretty impressed with how fast the service was here also since there were a few people eating and only one server but he was really on top of it.
