Mele's Kusina

Finally tried Mele's Kusina- and I am glad I did.  We focused on the fried ice cream- which no one else to my knowledge does on the island of Kauai.
We loved the fluffy looking fried pillow with whip cream and a very nicely designed chocolate topping.
If you like donuts- you will like the outside of the ice cream. The ice cream is gently packed inside which makes for a delectable 3D taste bud sensation. Mele is an awesome host at her Kusina. The name "Mele" means "song" in Hawaiian- she had us all singing HMMMMMMMMM goooooood the whole way through.

great fish tacos.  right in "downtown" Hanapepe, right across the street from the swinging bridge and the big Totoro tree.

We had Loco Moco at Tri-Top, and Ono's Family Restuarant--- who both brag to have the "best Loco Moco"

This was by far the BEST!!

Great job.

However, the Fried Ice Cream.. I have had better at a County Fair.
