Good menu selection for lunch. I ordered the fried pickles as an app and they were some of the best fried pickles I've had in the area. However, my lump crab cake has larger pieces of celery than crab. It smelled like bad seafood, was watery, and too much filler. Thankfully management was understanding and took it off the bill. I'd go back and give them a second chance.
Review Source:I want to like this place much more than I do! Â For one thing, it's a local, non chain place. Really nice and comfortable interior, huge booths and plenty of space. Near Costco so could be a perfect place to go after/before.
The menu is way too large. Reminds me of Restaurant Impossible where Chef Irvine talks about how it's hard to focus on quality when there is soo much quantity. Â
Breakfast includes complimentary apple cinnamon, banana nut and blueberry muffins. We had a frittata and an omelette. Both was way larger than necessary and way greasier. Would much rather smaller items of higher quality.
Burgers are ok. I happen to have ordered the 2 items that contain the onion marmalade - the pierogies and the sweet onion and goat cheese burger. Â It was tasty but seemed like it might have been jarred, like one of those Harry and David relishes. Â I've since learned that it is, indeed, made on premises. Â Pasta dishes have way too much pasta and not enough flavor. Make your own Mac and cheese I found a bit odd. Even the base Mac and cheese has too much truffle oil. Truffle oil is in many items - as if it is the trendy ingredient and they want to showcase how trendy they are.
We have their frequent dining card, but unsubscribed from the emails as we never seemed to be able to get there on weekdays or take advantage of the specials. We've collected about 8 of their $5 metro bucks but find them hard to redeem (one at a time, weekdays only). They do have a nice birthday special and rewards program.
Really want this place to be better than it is. Maybe pare down the menu and focus on key dishes consistently prepared. Â Don't try to please everyone all the time with every possible kind of dish available. Â Focus on what you do well!
Edited to incorporate corrections provided by John G (on muffins, onion marmalade and rewards). Â My intention is to give my honest, obejctive and accurate opinion and I appreciate the feedback and chance to make corrections. Â All good will here.
I don't give out many 5 star reviews...I went for dinner around 5pm on a Saturday. Â The food was excellent! Â Tasty, large portions, average prices, and large menu selection. Â Good service. Â We did not have to wait to be seated, and the food came out pretty quickly. Â Delicious bread too!
Review Source:This is my second visit here in 3 weeks as a frequent business guest to the area who's sick of Chili's or driving to Doylestown for a meal.
Place has an in crowd of regulars in the "Cheers" vein. good specials in the bar area that arent available in the dining room (god knows why).
Good value for the money and a the frequent diner card is a huge plus!
I've been to Metropolitan several times and i have to say they have a great menu! For a girl that needs and loves meat i have to say that their Veggie burger is absolutely delicious! The bun is warm and fluffy on the inside while the outside has a toasted texture! The veggie burger has lots of avocado (LOVE) and the burger itself has a nice kick to it!
Review Source:We frequent Metropolitan a few times a month. They have fantastic drink specials and the food is usually spot on. I am a huge fan of the pork belly and scallop sliders. The only pitfall to this place is that everyone knows how great it is, so if you stroll in at anytime during happy hour, the likelihood of finding a seat at the bar or even in the lounge is pretty slim.
Review Source:I see this as place as a excellent bump up from your cheesy chain restaurants (Tuesdays. Fridays, Whatever other days). They have a generous menu of items to pick from, but I kept it simple and stuck with the sandwiches/burgers. Can't complain about any of the food that I have tried. Others I went with tried their seafood entrees and were pleased at the portion and taste. Nothing here has that prepackaged look or taste to it. Prices might be a smidgen higher than your chains, but small price to pay for better quality food. The kids meals are fair seeing as they get a side, drink and dessert. They also have a fair amount of decent drafts/drinks to choose from, but don't think they do any drink specials here. The decor inside is inviting, no complaints on service.
Review Source:1st time visit after reading reviews here. The place looks very fancy and attractive. While coming in the smell of great steak was in the air. Was seated w/o any wait.
The food was plentyful but pricey. One downside is that they charge extra for the soup or salad for any selected entree, something that is included at Texas Rooadhouse or Outback. Server was really pleasant. We liked the lunch portion which is available all day.
Overall, we liked it and would return if Texas or Outback are too full.
I'm updating my review, as my experience has only gotten better since I've been coming back. Their menu is very extensive  and there hasn't been anything that I havnt liked. The service is attentive, without being annoying. I find myself suggesting to friends and family that we should go here. There is really something for everyone. I recommend their french onion, metro salad, burgers, omelets, and their spring roll sampler.. Save room for dessert because their pretzel brownies were delish!
Review Source:We went there twice this past week, once for diner and the next day for breakfast. Unfortunately we were disapointed both times.
Service - very slow and inattentive. Once we finally got our drinks, we were never asked if we would like a refill. The food was incredibly greasy, one item was fried to the point it was burned and never should have been served. We got one of the diner specials which was essentially a meat and veggie pie that was so over salted it hurt your tongue and was not really edible. The breakfast menu looked good so we figured maybe it was just a bad night.
Disappointed again. Took about 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive and about 20 for the food. I finished my coffee but the watiress was no where to be seen. The hostess stopped by and askied I'd like a refill but never returned? Anyway, the western fritata special was so over-cooked the waitress knew as soon as I mentioned it when she brought the check. The fresh potatoes were brown on one side and white on the other and soaked with grease again. This was not a grilled brown but the kind of brown they'd get sitting around in a pan.The pancake was actually chewy like I have never had before and not cooked through as well.
Not really looking for a third strike. You can't blow your specials that badly.
We have frequented this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. Â We have brought family and friends, and even had a dinner with 19 of us, and everyone was happy with the meal! Â
The menu is varied, so everyone can find something, but if you are expecting a traditional, inexpensive "diner" this isn't for you! The prices are reasonable, even for those of us on a very tight budget, and the portions are huge! The quality of the food is great, and many of the menu items are locally sourced!
The service has always been fabulous and the owner is always there, doing anything necessary to keep things running! She has spoken to us many times and she always appreciates feedback. Â The servers are knowledgeable and friendly, and there is always someone around to help out!
Very busy on the weekends so make an online reservation, call ahead, or plan to wait a bit!
Good food and great value. Chicken is very tasty b/c they source it from local farms. Many of its food is sourced locally. They also have a great beer selection. The only time it failed was their portabella mushroom wrap, which was very vinegary. We told the waiter about it, and they immediately took it off the tab and apologized. Their service is wonderful and always good with kids. Even though there are always families with kids there, somehow it was never too noisy there.
Sign up for the member card. I don't usually do that b/c I hate having too many cards in my wallet, but we go there so much that it's worth it. Plus, we get great coupons via email.
They have a pretty diverse and creative menu with all-day breakfast offerings.  I'm a fan of the goat cheese and artichoke omelette, which comes stuffed with artichoke, roasted peppers, tomato, goat cheese, and basil, and a side of the breakfast potatoes  (you can also sub tomato slices but I prefer the potatoes).  The egg is fluffy and they don't skimp on the fillings.  The bacon, mushroom, and bleu cheese frittata is another good option with a flaky, buttery crust and plenty of bacon.  Breakfast entrees are around $10.  While they do have a build-your-own mac and cheese selection, it's pretty pricey at $11+ ($3 extra per topping) and not mind-blowing.  The cheese blend was creamy but I couldn't really taste the truffles.  Nevertheless, it's pretty solid.  Plus, where else can you get La Colombe coffee and a mint chocolate chip shake with a breakfast dish near Blue Bell?  Yes, the menu is possibly too large but the service is friendly, the portions are generous, the prices are overall pretty reasonable, and the food solid.
Review Source:Ate here for dinner twice in the last few months. Second time I was here, the waiter forgot my friend's soup, but caught himself and delivered it before his meal. I arrived later, ordered, and received my meal and no soup. He forgot and brought it right away and took both soups off the check without us saying anything. I really didn't mind getting the soup after my main course was out, and really he didn't have to take it off, but this just shows he's in tune with service and exactly how restaurants and servers should handle mistakes even though it wasn't a big deal to us!
Grilled Kielbasa - it is what it is and it taste great! Very filling! The kind of dish that even though you're stuffed, you keep trying to finish it because it's so good - 4/5
Chef's Soup of the Day (Cheesesteak soup) - I was really curious so I decided to try it and let me tell you, it was out of control! Hearty, tasty, creamy, goodness. This needs to be on the regular menu! - 5/5
Grilled Sesame Encrusted Ahi Tuna - Ordered this rare (seared on the outside, raw on the inside). Got the dinner portion with two tuna steaks. Mango, pineapple salsa was delish! Steam rice and snow peas were all cooked well but boring as sides. Tuna was cooked perfectly. Nicely seared on the outside and a nice red on the inside. I love Ahi tuna cooked this way and have tried it from many places. The tuna was fresh and good. Quality and quantity justifies the $18.95 price. -4/5
Service - even though a mistake was made, the server took responsibility, apologized, and handled it appropriately without us having to say anything. Â - 5/5
Quality - 4/5
Value - 4/5
Ok, so power was out and we needed a place to eat. We drove around in the mess of traffic for a while and came upon this place which I swore I wouldn't go back to. But it was late, we were hungry so I thought what the heck.
Much better this time. Good service. I had a chicken pesto pasta dish which was very good. Wifey had asian snapper; the fish was quite good, but the downside was they used the same sauce on the snow peas and the rice as they did on the fish. A little too much of a good thing if you ask me. Oh, pumpkin bread pudding was yum.
So I bumped it up a star for a reasonable experience. I may not be drawn back here again too soon, nor will it become part of my rotation, but I won't be avoiding it like the plague either. :).
Very good experience. Â Friday night dinner.
Glad we had reservations as there apppeared to be a bit of a wait. Â As such we were seated as soon as I gave my name. Â Would recommend making them online if you're planning on going up for dinner.
Mac & Cheese with pancetta was very good, as were the buffalo chicken egg rolls. Â Other half enjoyed her scallops. Â Drinks were kept full, or server was quick and knew her stuff. Â Note that the menu is huge and could stand to be pared down a tad.
No complaints regarding service, food or price. Â They've earned another visit
Overall: Ambitious menu, somewhat mediocre execution.
From my first trip:
I wasn't terribly impressed with the burger. I was originally planning to get the meatloaf or mac and cheese, but the burger came highly recommended by our server. I decided that a burger is a pretty good measure of a restaurant. It was just OK.
I also had to try a side of the truffled mac and cheese because I'm a sucker for a good mac and cheese. Maybe I'm spoiled by some of the most amazing homemade mac and cheese at home, but Metropolitan's mac and cheese just didn't live up to my expectations. It wasn't bad, but next time I'll jazz it up with some sausage or crab meat.
The server often seemed flustered, but otherwise she was nice and fairly attentive.
All said, I'm going with 3 stars for my first trip.
From my second trip:
I've completely forgotten my second trip, so I'm just posting the results of my first. I think I've even had a third trip and I'm not quite ready to add another star.
Though I read a lot of complaints about service, I didn't experience any problems. Â If anything, our waitress was over attentive, but that's not really a problem. Â The portions are large so have an appetite. Â The pierogies were just ok, but the pulled pork was good. Â I would skip the cheese on the sandwich though as it doesn't mesh well with pork. Â I like that sweet potato fries don't cost extra as they often do in other restaurants.
Review Source:This is our new favorite place to go out to eat ( for any meal ). Â Great food, at inexpensive and affordable prices. Â My wife and I have been here 6 times, and every time, we've had incredible food, with excellent service. Â And they have MANY gluten free items on their menu. Â They are also very well informed and educated about gluten and Celiac disease. Â very friendly staff too. Â it's our new hot spot!
Review Source:Bleh. I went on a weekend morning, just after they'd opened, for brunch. I was by myself, and the hostess looked up (eventually) and said, 'Two?". I looked at her and said no...just one. She sat me down with a huge menu, and walked away.
I'm pretty quick at ordering food, so closed my menu after a few moments and waited for my server to come. And waited. And waited. And waited. No water, no one asking if I wanted a drink. 15 minutes goes by - I start looking around, trying to catch someone's eye. The hostess comes back, and asks if I want a drink. I ask for a coffee (which is $3, I might add. Really. $3 for a cup of diner coffee). She goes to get it....and doesn't come back. 10 minutes go by; a waitress comes by and apologizes, and asks if anyone has been by to see me. I told her I'd ordered coffee but it hadn't come yet.
The waitress sorts it out, brings my coffee, and takes my order. The omelet I'd ordered comes out wrong and is super, super greasy. The portion size is plentiful, and the staff is nice - but clueless. The prices definitely aren't diner prices. With tax and tip, I paid significantly more for brunch for one here ($20) than I would in Philadelphia.
I've been here for drinks a few times before but finally ate dinner here today. All in all it was pretty decent. We sat at a table in the bar area (our choice, we prefer a more laid back atmosphere). Our server, also the bartender, was nice, attentive enough without being overbearing and listened patiently to my special requests. The servers were a little loud talking to eachother and joking around at times, but we were in the bar area, not the dining room, and they weren't obnoxious or anything.
For food we ordered:
Fried Mac n Cheese: tasted as good as you would expect it to. I've never had it before at any other restaurant, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I thought it was tasty.
Angus Sliders: burgers were good, tasted like sliders. The best part was the truffled cheese sauce for the fries. We asked for it on the side (instead of on the fries) and it was great to dip pretty much anything in. That was probably my favorite part of the meal, but just because it was that awesome, everything else was pretty good too. And although this is under the appetizers, you could totally eat this as a meal for one person.
Buffalo Shrimp Brioche: This was ok. It tasted good, but the bread was so thick and kind of greasy from all the butter or oil they used to toast the bread. Not that it tasted bad or anything, just a little intense for our tastes. I would probably ask for different bread next time or just ask them not to toast it. We got a salad on the side with a Greek Vinagrette dressing which was pretty tasty also.
They have a huge menu, which I sometimes feel means they won't do anything as good, but I think I will find a number of really good things here. Sandwich wise I am just going to be mindful of "toasted" breads next time.
Bonus: they do a half-price drink special every day. Today (Sunday) was half priced drafts. Also every day from 5-7 is Happy Hour and ALL drinks are half off. We will definitely be back to try out some other things we saw on the menu.
Stopped in here a couple of times over the last couple of weeks. Â It is a really nice place that seems to have taken advantage of much of the decor that was here when this place was a Houlihan's restaurant. Â That's not to say that it's a bad thing: Â the place is nice and roomy but classier than your stereotypical diner. Â In terms of accessibility, it's accessible. Â The only concern may be the bar area which looks like it can get a little tight when it is packed with people. Â Even calling this place a diner is kind of a stretch: the place and the food are several steps above typical diner fare.
The staff was very helpful and attentive and was able to seat me right away. Â They do give you bread and butter that appears to have been made fresh. Â The bread is really good although it can fill you up. Â The menu is pretty extensive and contains much of the classic diner food that you know and love. Â The difference is that, when you look at the description, every item uses high-grade ingredients. Â They emphasized that many of the ingredients such as the bread, meats, and veggies, are all sourced from local vendors and farms. Â The results of their efforts and use of these ingredients is quite a big step up from your typical diner food.
I tried the Eggs Benedict the first time I went here and I had the Meatloaf the second time I went here and both were really good. Â The portions were huge so prepare for that accordingly. Â Even the lunch portions were on the large side. Â The desserts are also good but are also huge and it is encouraged that you share your dessert with another person. Â I have not tried their drinks yet but there seems to be a nice variety of drinks available. Â Prices are a little higher compared to your typical diner but given the quality and quantity of the food, it's justifiable.
Overall it is a nice place to go with your friends or on a dinner date. Â Just go there hungry :)
We were staying in the area and meeting up with some old friends who live in the greater Philly area and recommended this place for dinner. Â Great recommendation! Â We were seated right away (always a good thing when you have a reservation) and drink orders were taken while the bread was delivered, all within just a few minutes of being seated.
The menu is extensive and we honestly had a difficult time deciding what to order. Â I guess the "diner" in the name is reflective of the menu, but the restaurant in no way resembles a diner.
The service was attentive and the food was fantastic! Â Was disappointed to find out this wasn't a chain and wouldn't be coming to Connecticut any time soon - I really wanted to try so many of the items on the menu!
Would definitely go back if we are ever in the area again. Â Very reasonably priced as well.
This place is more of an upscale diner, which is something you notice immediately when walking in. The atmosphere is nice and casual with just a touch of class. Like most diners they have a wide variety of menu options including things like breakfast all day. I have only ordered sandwiches and burgers here but every time they have left me satisfied. It's a tad bit over priced in my opinion, but they're not gouging you to the point where its not worth it. You'll get a very good meal for about $10-$15 per person. I would definitely recommend this place.
Review Source:Whelp...I really hate to do this but, I went back to this place with a group of friends and we were disappointed...which makes me sad since it was my idea. As we arrived, we were told a half hour wait, so we decided to head over to the bar. We ordered some margaritas since the drinks were half off for happy hour. That was one bonus except the drinks were not very good. I am a margarita lover as well as my friend, but these disappointed us. We got the blood orange margarita which I would expect that they would be slightly bitter, but these were only bitter and could have used maybe some sugar on the rim or something, anything to offset the bitter a tad. Now on the bright side, we only had to wait 10-15miins for a table.
When we sat at the table we waited a while for the server. Service was kinda slow, but it was busy and Friday night so it's acceptable. We were brought the yummy bread, but no silverware. We ordered more drinks...a pom margarita and a strawberry martini...I learned my lesson and ordered a blue moon. The martini had too much soda and the margarita tasted a bit like cough syrup. so the drink were disappointing.
For dinner I ordered the truffled mac and cheese with spinach and caramelized onion and boy was I excited. When I got it, my excitement dwindled. Although it was not bad, it wasn't that great either. It tasted quite greasy and not all that cheesy. The other people in my party were content with their meal but not happy.
The service was a bit lousy and the drinks awful. The food was Ehhh. I would love to love the place like my first visit, and will try it again. I just wish they would improve some of the flavor combos. I would also love to see a veggie burger!!!
EDIT: I would like to add that the owner of this joint really cares. I always prefer to eat at a resturant that appreciates it's customers!!!
I found this place on Yelp, while searching for a birthday dinner location for my Mom. I was interested in the locally grown food and beer selection and decided to give this place a try. The menu is ridiculously long and detailed. My sisters boyfriend stated that he forgot what he read at the beginning by the time he got to the end.
Overall though the food was fantastic. They offer a lot of unique items and dishes which are not common place in the lansdaletopia of chain restaurants. We went with nine adults and one child. Everyone loved their food. My little cousin (6 yrs old) was easily entertained with coloring his menu and loved his mini hamburgers. We ended the night with their double stuffed cupcakes, I think the red velvet was the best. My sister also had the cinnamon ice cream sandwich and she said that it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking to try something different and they are definitely kid friendly. Â
Only down side was service wasn't exactly an A+, I think the waitress was a little overwhelmed by our loud, large, boisterous crowd though so I wouldn't hold it against them.
I LOVE THIS PLACE
Food: A+ (Great quality food, interesting meals, they fill you up at a good price. Decent menu selection... the soup is REALLY great! Breakfast is neat with a make-your-own omelet option, but no waffles! My husband was so sad.)
Service: C (Eh... average I guess. I feel like they have a lot of new people who aren't as knowledgeable as they possibly should be but if you get a seasoned waiter/waitress it is unbeatable! Once they get a little more trained im sure this place will run like a well oiled machine!!)
Drink: B (selection is ...eh like any other bar in the area... Overall, not bad but pretty average and that is quite alright with me. This isn't really a bar spot its a food spot with the option of a bar area)
Ambiance: B+ (quiet yet it has energy, casual yet it has some class, its a nice cozy place to be. The bar is tiny though. Also: the bar room and restaurant area are separated which is nice if your having  quiet dinner)
I am a seriously terrible person for not reviewing this place sooner.
I first had a taste of the Metropolitan American with my pal K. We're both amateur foodies and love adventures, so after she explained the menu variety to me I had to give it a go.
Now the first time out, I had the pumpkin ice cream sandwich for dessert and was tempted to run home and punch in my little five star review but NO...I held out.
The second time I went, Â I took my human acid test (Aka The Boyfriend). A pickier eater I never did see. We never eat at the same joint twice because he's always got some sort of issue with where we go. I adore him for his intense palette, but I will occasionally fantasize about stuffing him into a mailbox due to his picky nature.
So YES! Picky.
But...he loved this place. He wanted to go back. We've been back twice. His suggestion. This is unheard of. We had our three year anniversary dinner here.
ON TO THE REVIEW! The waitstaff is full of friendly and adorable young ladies and gents. Our favorite time thus far has been while we were sat at the bar, the bartender doing double duty as waitress and drink-slinger was fantastic, fast, and funny. Three F's and none of them requiring censorship. Win win, I say.
The food is just good. K's description of the menu was more than apt. Ever changing and an incredible amount of variety, but not so much that it overwhelms. So far I've had a black and bleu burger, a plate of polish sausage and perogies, and tilapia. Next time I'll be ordering from their all day breakfast menu. Everything's been good.
Finding a place the gent wants to go back to has been a 2 year chore until now. Also they've been giving out $5 coupons toward your next meal recently and that's VERY worth it considering the fair prices.
Bravo, Metropolitan American. You've soothed a savage beast and fed a fat foodie. Add Texas BBQ to the menu and you'll probably have to get a restraining order out on the former!
I am into this place.
Solid bar, seriously amazing drink prices, friendly bartender, AND there aren't a million people I went to high school with working/drinking here. HUGE plus.
On tap: two different kinds of Yards, Dogfish Head, Crispin Hard Cider, Blue Moon, and a few other things I don't remember, but were also pretty solid. All under $5 for a 16 oz nearly makes me wanna move back to Lansdale.
Food is meh. It's trying to break out of suburban meat and potatoes lifestyle, but is still pretty tired. The dessert menu is pretty safe, but extraordinarily tasty.
I'm coming back here, hopefully on a Friday. Halfprice Metro Cosmos all night? Yes please. Those things taste like creamsicles and I am not afraid to admit that I love them.
My new favorite place around Lansdale!
I'm eating my leftovers from last night, which has prompted me to tell you how amazing this place is. The food is amazing, and there are so many choices, I already have planned to go back multiple times. I ordered the Yukon Gold Spring Rolls to start, basically loaded mashed potatoes wrapped in a spring roll (Yum). I also had a shrimp caesar salad, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. My bf got ribs, which were gigantic, and truffle mac n cheese, which I think was the best thing on our table!
The bread they bring out was warm and soft and buttery, and the drinks were reasonably priced and not watered down.
I think the best part of the whole meal was the bill, less then $50!
I honestly want to go back tonight.
We were in Montgomeryville looking for a place to grab a quick dinner and found that there was a new "diner" and figured we'd give it a try.
I say "diner" only because there is a back and forth going on in the previous reviews as to whether Metropolitan is really a diner or not. In my opinion it's not a diner, it's a restaurant. The only diner-esque thing is that they serve breakfast all day. Other than that the only reason to call it a diner is an attempt to qualify to lure Guy Fieri in to do an episode of Diners, Drive-In's & Dives., which they might be worthy of.
Now on to the review.
We walked in were greeted warmly and seated right away. I was a little nervous there'd be a wait because the parking lot was packed, but it's bigger inside than it appeared to me from the outside.
We opened the menu's and I started checking the appetizers. Something immediately jumped out at me, Yukon Gold Potato Spring Rolls. (Try finding that at a standard diner). Reading the description, I knew I was trying them, even if the wife wanted something else, I was getting them too. They came out immediately and were exactly what I had pictured in my head, mashed potatoes, bacon & cheese rolled in dough and deep fried. They are Fat Irish Guy Crack! I questioned why no one had thought of this before and if they did how did I not know about it all these years. I destroyed the plate of them, my wife nearly lost a finger reaching for one ... they were incredible. Thank god I have a high paying job or I'd be mugging old ladies outside of Costco so I could buy more.
For my entree I ordered a Prime Rib Philly Cheesesteak Wrap from the Chef's Selection Menu (again, Chef's Selection Menu and diner don't go hand in hand). After how great the Potato Spring Rolls were, the Cheesesteak Wrap was a little bit of a let down. It was good, but not great.
My wife ordered the Chicken and Avocado Sandwich which was very good. I enjoyed the half she didn't eat more than my cheesesteak wrap.
We debated getting dessert as she was thinking creme brulee or a stuffed cupcake ... I was leaning towards another order of the Potato Spring Rolls. However we were both pretty full and decided against it this time.
We will definitely be back in the future.
I'm not sure where these previous reviewers get off giving the Metropolitan less than 4 starts (I mean, someone gave low ratings b/c the soup wasn't burning their lips...c'mon. And someone else rated a place low b/c they don't sell gyros - wow, talk about not knowing that a true Diner doesn't equal Greek! Greek people just happen to own alot of diners. Seriously, this place is awesome. You sit down and they bring out warm focaccia bread...AND THEY BRING MORE IF YOU ASK FOR IT! The Mac and Cheese is totally awesome (don't know what that previous reviewer was saying - probably a TGI Fridays Manager). You can get the Mac & Cheese with all sorts of add-ins, like Sausage, Crabmeat (which is what I got the first time I went here).
No matter what you order here you have enough leftovers for the next day! During my visits here, my family has totally enjoyed the following: pork chops (f'ing huge!), manicotti (so tasty), crabcake sandwich (bigger than my head), turkey club (yay!), Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls (way cool!), Kettle Chips with Gorgonzola (we order this every visit!), Truffled Five Onion Soup
(takes FOS to the next level), Cashew Encrusted Chicken (got this as take out, and it ROCK'ed)...I could go on about breakfast, but it's the same sort of awesome!
And the service is always great too! The line on the weekend is a testament enough that this place is a diamond in the North Wales/Montgomeryville area!
