Produce review
When Whole Foods has produce that is cheaper than Giant, you know something is wrong. Â And freshness? Â Are you kidding me? Â The Vidalia onions look like the guys in the back were using them for hockey pucks in their choose-up games. Â The cantaloupes taste funky, the apples in season just don't have the proper texture, why do I go here? Â Location location location. Â The fennel bulbs are rotting as you look at them. Â The selection of not-the-ordinary produce items is either non-existent or it should be, based on the quality and price they shove at you.
So when Wegmans in Montgomeryville opens up in the fall, I hope I will have the balance back in my life, Whole Foods and Wegmans, and hopefully as good a combo as Whole Foods and Genuardi's, back when Genuardi's was family owned and operated.
