Mandarin Inn

It breaks my heart to rate this as 1 star. This used to be the best Chinese food place in the area. I've been a patron for over 10 years and it's sad to say there was a sharp decline in quality a few years back.  Not sure if it's due to new owners or what. Still haven't found a replacement Chinese restaurant.

What has happened to our local, go to once a week, take out Chinese restaurant?  Tonight I stopped in to pick up our take out order and was almost knocked over by the stinky smell in the restaurant.  Hard to describe the odor...bad fish? Rotten eggs?  Both?  Dead body?  It was nasty!  I almost decided to leave with out my food.  Anyway, this restaurant has gone down hill.  It pains me to write this because we WANT to like it!  But we have given it sooo many tries!  More than 3 strikes!  To make matters worse, they do not try to get to know their local customers...this is key to survive!  In fact, tonight a very young un-enthusiastic girl (the only one I saw in the restaurant) took my order.  Our food was blah.  It has not been consistent either.  Egg rolls use to have lots of good stuff and shrimp was visable...unfortunately, they are now thin and lacking umph....and "where's the shrimp"?   This place is sooo miss managed!  Such a shame especially since this place is so darn convenient and now we have to find a new place.  Boo hoooo.

Don't be fooled by it's location, tucked away in a fairly nondescript shopping strip. This has been one of the best Chinese joints in the area for years.  That's the reason it lasts while all it's neighbors are coming and going.  I've never had a bad meal!
