I've been in this hotel for about a day so far with one more to go. I have really mixed feelings about this place. My initial impression on arriving in the parking lot was "Well, this is gonna suck." due to the area surrounding it and the lot itself. I was also convinced that the Velvet Room (lounge in the lobby) was some sort of strip club that was either attached to the building or in the same lot.

Upon walking in the lobby I was pleasantly surprised by a very modern feel and a very friendly front desk clerk. As I walked to my room, my opinion was going back down due to the under construction pool, the weird paint job on the walls (not sure if that is as it is intended to be or they're trying to pick a color), and the mismatched light fixtures.

Walking into my room lifted that opinion back up. The furniture is all very nice and clean. A nice, decent sized flat screen tv and a Kuerig to make my morning coffee also adorned the room. After being awake for over 24 hours and traveling for 12+ of them, I was ready to fall out. I must say that this is the best hotel bed I've ever slept in. Even with as tired as I was, I only slept 6 hours and woke up feeling really refreshed. Also, as an IT professional, I usually find the internet in pretty much every hotel I stay in to be seriously lacking. Other than light browsing and maybe a little Netflix, most hotel's internet can't go much further. This is definitely not the case here. It's very refreshing to be able to come somewhere and have an internet connection that isn't just for advertisement.

It's too bad that a hotel like this has to be unfinished and in the middle of nowhere. I'm definitely able to overlook it's faults for the comforts it provides. I've definitely paid less for more, but the parts that I care about are there. So, if you don't plan on sleeping in the weird hallway, outside, or in the unfinished pool and can overlook those things in exchange for an ultra comfy bed, nice looking lobby/lounge area, and good internet, then this place is definitely worth taking a look at.

I was booked to stay two nights at this hotel last week but left after surviving just one night.  I'm not sure where to begin with this review because there are so many things wrong with this hotel.  First, it looks pretty bad from the outside.  I parked in the "front" parking lot thinking the door facing the main road was the entrance but the entrance is on the side.  Once inside the lobby is sparse to say the least.  When I checked in the girl at the front desk acted like she had better things to be doing than actually be courteous to me.
After you check in you have to walk past the empty, "under construction" pool which looks like it hasn't been touched in months.  Then you walk down a sad hallway to your room.  This is where the fun starts.....
The bed was actually comfortable but I had to come to terms with the many yellowish stains on the sheets.  There is no pen or notepad in the room.  The view out of my filthy first floor window was of some sort of car repair shop.
The bathroom was dark and gloomy.  The towels were questionable.
Overall the rooms, hallways and lobby seemed to be finished out in a very cheap, "half ass" way.
The only positive I can say about my stay was that the hotel bar had a very friendly, pleasant young bartender that was great.  Other than her this hotel is a disaster.
Yeah it was only $80 and clearly you get what you pay for at this hotel.

Here is an example when I wish we had half stars. This deserves a 3.5 star rating. Finding a Los Angeles-esque hotel in the middle of nowhere is rare but very welcomed. The decor is very chic and modern. The staff is very friendly. When choosing this hotel I read some pretty crappy reviews about the cleanliness, and I do have to say the first room they put me in the tub was half filled with dirty grimy water, but I informed the front desk clerk and I was moved to a fresh clean room with a million apologies.

Being in the middle of nowhere the hotel patrons were sparse to say the least. It was a Tuesday evening and the lounge "The Velvet Room" was empty when I went in for a refreshment. Soon enough I was joined by a couple of other people passing through as well much like myself.

I was hungry so one of the staff members gave me a suggestion as to where I could get a good steak and a stiff drink, it was a mighty fine suggestion.

Overall my overnight stay was enjoyable and the beds were super comfortable. I slept like a baby. had it not been in the middle of nowhere and the night club had a little more action it would have definitely been a 4 star experience.
