Nothing special. it's good bar food, but it is exactly that...bar food. The server was very rushy and pushy. I hadnt seen my friends in months and she was pretty rude to us. The nachos are ENORMOUS which is cool but all in all mediocre. I would return but i am not rushing back.

I went to the Ale house on Glades road last week and it was your typical sports bar, except it had so many tvs! Right next to each other were huge flat screens which covered the place practically wall to wall. Ok, I may be exaggerating a little, but it had definitely more tvs per square foot than most other places!

Anyway, for an appetizer we ordered the beef nachos and not only were they monstrous, but they were actually delicious. Very generous portions, it was like a huge plate filled up high. Everyone seemed to agree that they were good, so they were a big thumbs up.

The night I was there was a lobster special for around $10 or $12, I can't remember exactly how much it was.  But I was kind of shocked at how low the price was, enough to make me apprehensive about ordering it.  What I got was a lobster that was recently molted and the shell was a little bit soft. That made it easier for taking apart.  The meat was not as sweet and firm as when I get a top of the line lobster, but at that price of around $10 how could I complain?  It wasn't really delicious or succulent, but it wasn't bad either.

Besides the food, the wait staff was very nice and accommodating. Like your typical sports bar, it was like your neighborhood  tavern. I liked the place and it was pretty good. I would go there again for a bite to eat.

A good place to catch the game on one of there many TVs.  All of their food is done pretty well.  They have a wide variety so this is a good choice when you are dining with a group and not everyone can decide what type of food they are in the mood for.

I went to this Miller's Ale House because I like the one in Sarasota. The beer selection was very good and the baby back ribs are the best! The service was very good also.

Can we all just admit before the Duffy's, Brus, or your average fill in the blank _____ sport bars, most Ale Houses were the shit?  The rating from 1993-2000 would have been a solid 4.

The zingers. The onion soup. The Big Red. The 2-4-1 burger lunches. The 35 shrimp special. The place was the tits back in the day and sadly that day has come and gone. These places were all bought out by Miller Brewing, which explains the majority of their beer selection.

The service is always hit or miss, but typically better during non-peak hours. The Glades location is the one I grew up with. This place would have lines out the door on Ladies Night. It's where you either started your night or ended it (before maybe Denny's). It's where everyone went to watch a big game and I'll never forget the fond memories I've had of this place.

The friendly bantering during a football game. The friends who got arrested in the bathroom for doing yae. The parking lot where we'd listen to our favorite tunes in between drink sessions. So yeah, this Ale House will always be apart of my high school years. But all good things come to an end and this place these day just doesn't do for me anymore. The food has always been pretty average. Whether you get the 35 previously frozen shrimp or the British Burger you know what you're getting. It's still a serviceable bar, but like I said, most Ale Houses lost their mystique. They can't compete with other bars because they lack the service, atmosphere and food standards.

Bru's has their wings. Duffy's has their point system with a great mahi sandwich. What does Ale House have? The crowd is gone. The love is gone. I'd still come here for the Captain Jack's Burred Treasure because it's a fine treat, but until they figure out how to reinvent themselves, this place is always going to be the 4th or 5th option when wanting to go to a sport bar.

The fajita I had was awesome and the fish and chips I tried were good too. The only negative was the service it was not horrible but two of is finished our drinks and they were never refilled.

Overall it was great and inexpensive food everyone I went with was impressed.

    Sports bar and much more.

Seemed like the place for a sports fan to go as everywhere you look, there will be a big screen staring at you.

I went for lunch and it was packed.

Blackened turkey burger with sweet potato fries was tasty.

Service is friendly as the waiter was excellent in carrying on a conversation about baseball.  They have a  good selection of beers.  I can see that the level of service will go down as it gets more crowded.

A large and lively brew pub in another of the nondescript Florida strip malls.  Food was decent at lunch and even though we were early, the service was a bit uneven.  Place was packed by the time we left so they must be doing something right.

To be honest, the reason why this place is my favorite sports bar is because I'm sentimental. I come here every year when I visit my grandmother in Florida but I think it's a genuinely good place to eat also. I've never been disappointed with the food and I like the vibe of the restaurant. They have nice tv's and the prices are reasonable, especially for the beer.  Also, like with a lot of places in Florida, they have good early-bird specials, which my grandmother loves to utilize. I can't imagine a trip to Florida without Miller's Ale House.

3.5 is probably more correct, but I'll give them the extra half point because the service was pretty decent and the waiter was able to handle my grandfather pretty well.

It's a chain sports bar.  Which in itself is kinda lame, but I don't know how much different a sports bar would be if it were independently owned and operated.  And for a chain sports bar, their beer list was decent.  Anywhere that carries Dogfish Head gets extra points.

My grandfather ordered six dozen Bluepoint Oysters.  I had at least two dozen.  They could have been cleaned a bit better, but they were decent.  They had Chipotle Tabasco on the table too, which was pretty nice.

The conch fritters were pretty good.  The snow crab legs were a bit too soft, and not that tasty.  But the ribs were surprisingly good, and I can be picky about my ribs.

You may be able to find a better sports bar if you search around, but you can easily find a lot worse, so coming here shouldn't make you feel too badly.

Group of friends + Heat Games = Fun Time..? Nope not at this place.. It was seriously a very boring place to hangout at.

I have to say my stars go to the bean with cheese dip! It was delicious. I think I should have only had that for dinner. I was not a fan of the calamari. The flavor was not great.

For drinks I ordered Pineapple juice with Pineapple Parrot Bay Rum. YUCK!

For dinner I decided to order the blackened breast of a chicken sandwich. No flavor whatsoever. I could not even finish it. It was very disappointing.

Service was just ok.. nothing special.

They had a DJ playing music and it was definitely a target for an older crowd. I don't think I will be returning to this place. It was not fun at all and the food was Eh.. not so great.

I had an awful experience here. I came here on a Wednesday night to watch the heat game with a couple friends and that was supposed to be the plan for the night. I ended up leaving at the 3rd quarter of the game.

It started off bad when the hostess told us that the table we originally had is no longer available because it has roaches around it. We ended up sitting at the opposite side of the bar. Our waitress was not very friendly or helpful. An example is forgetting to tell the girls I was with that it is ladies night and the drink specials that are available to them.

    The food was sub par.

The crowd was old fogies on one side and college aged kids on the other side.

The reason for the 1 star was because around 9:30 they had this DJ come in that was horrendous. He played golden oldies to outdated pop music and once I heard Justin Bieber, I knew it was time to go.

I would not go back here.

My friends and I met here to watch the Heat's game.  We waited about 10 minutes and were buzzed to give us a table.  On our way to the table the hostess stops, makes us wait, and tells one of my friends that they were preparing another one because they had just found a roach in the one meant for us.  Why we decided to stay is beyond me but I thank God they sat us at a high table - my feet away from the floor.

They had some drinks specials and, looking through the drink menu I noticed they have the Dark & Stormy (maybe the reason why I didn't give them just one star) and it comes in a cute glass jar with handle.

For dinner I had one of their burgers,  (I did open it up and searched it, just in case) it was good, nothing out of the ordinary.  The fried calamari is also OK but, make sure to ask for the sauce on the side (not everyone's going to like it) and also marinate sauce (it does not come with it).

Our waitress was nice, slow but not terrible.  She was friendly and brought all we asked for, extra sauce, extra pickles for our leftovers, etc.  The one thing we can't forgive her was her forgetting to tell us it was Lady's night after 10pm.  We overheard someone saying it and when we asked she started reciting what was available for the specials.  At this point it was too late...  You'll see why next.

We notice that all the young crowd was at the far end of the place, like separating themselves from the old crowd on the other side.  On the young side is the bigger TV and pool table.  On the old side was the DJ, Tony the Hitman.  One word, horrible.  Even worst was looking at some weird older guys dancing and singing and making requests to the DJ.  I mean, he even played Justin Bieber while the Heat's game is on.  What was he thinking!??!  I rather they turn the TVs up and hear the game commentators than this guy.  Before the song was over, we're making our way out the door.

Thankfully there are other Sports Bars to chose from in the area because this one is not an option anymore.

Boca Ale House, you bring me back to the divey, drink special ridden bars of my college days.

Seriously, they have this amazing book of random, specific drink specials that can't help but win you over. $5 buckets of miller beers, free drinks for ladies on weds, etc etc... three of us sat there watching the local wildlife for a few hours and spent 20 bucks. A liiiittle different than the "dive bars" in DC, where a PBR costs you 4 dollars.

Um the people here are amazing and hilarious. Go here and watch people get down to the DJ because it will make your night. There was one group of college age kids who were performing entire step routines around the pool table, only taking a break to chow down on a huge plate of nachos (which smelled really good!). I would definitely go here to watch football or get slam hammered for cheap, if I lived in the area.

This place is exactly what it looks like, and that's just fine.  Cheap pitchers, decent bar bites, and friendly staff at a big comfortable bar showing football.  The waitress recommended the Zingers (chicken strips, basically) and they were better than bar chicken strips usually are - that is, they actually tasted like chicken as much as they tasted like fried.  Seems like a totally reliable place to come spend ten bucks on beer and bar food and watch some football.

Men's restroom... Needs attention. Serious makeover needed. Looks as though caulking was handled by someone very drunk or just didn't care. Bad start.

Booths.. .Could not make more uncomfortable if they tried. Liked high back church pews without cushions. Not a chance I could watch an entire football game in an Ale House booth. Next stop would have to be to massage therapist or chiropractor.

Menu. ..They have cut the $4.95 lunch specials down to 2 items. Believe me there was nothing "special" about the offerings.(Corned beef or country fried steak) Buddy and I chose the corned beef sandwich against my better judgement. The waitress had no clue if the corned beef was tender. The answer was a resounding NO! First clue was that the meat was obviously grilled. Perhaps that was an attempt to make the meat eatable. Only thing it did was to vulcanize it. Stringy and tough. Discusting. My other buddy had a prime rib sandwich which was very fatty but tasty. Fries were good.

Drinks...No root beer. No Coke only Pepsi. Oh well a round of waters please.

    Service.. Ok but slow.

    Place is slipping.

Great place, especially for the money.  $5 pitchers of domestics.  I don't eat bar food, so I cannot vouch for that - the beer is good, the service is excellent, the prices cannot be beat, and they have EVERY football (and every other sporting event!).

Yes, I DO like the Ale House chain thank you very much.

The Boca Ale House is the very first Ale House that I ever went to, and in researching this review, I realized I have been to TEN, count'em, 10 other Ale Houses, because "Yay! I'm a fan" is right.

Sure, maybe it's a bit low-end, but it's low-end in an awesome way.  It's a great place to watch football (the "other" southern religion) or baseball, and the food is quite good for cheap pub grub.  Plus, south Florida is simply teeming with beautiful, wonderfully tanned girls, and is there anything better than a beautiful, wonderfully tanned girl in a white dress?  Of course not.

They should rename this place "Boca Tail House," since I've met many a men here back in the day.

Heh.  The Ale House is great, and is seems as we get older it continues to be great.   The decor is basically just wood and fishing and sports.  There are a bunch of deep booths and some high top tables and a big U shaped bar and a couple of pool tables.

The prices are what you'd expect for this type of place and the food goes beyond typical bar food (try the conch chowder.. yum!)  though the bar food is gooooood too (Zingers, anybody?).

If Boca has a "townie bar" this would be the place.  But it's so much more than that.

The Ale House is definitely worth a visit.

Man this place is great.  The epitomy of not judging a book by its cover will serve you well as you enter the Boca Ale House.  From the outside, it looks like another strip mall Bar & Grill.  And, really, that impression does not change too much as you enter and sit down.

Things change there, however.  The waitresses are all young and friendly (and helpful).  The selection of beer is pretty decent, and I had a Pilsner Urquell for the first time since I was in Prague (granted, I've seen them since, but this was $2 and sounded good on a hot day).  Service was prompt.

The food is where this place really shines.  Now, a Blackened Grouper sandwich is not something I usually order from a bar & grill, but I was in Boca Raton, Florida and that is pretty close to the ocean.  You know, the place where the fish come from?  Well, I had to remind myself of that as I ordered since I have been in Cleveland for so long.  In any case, this guy was immense, in size and in flavor.

Wednesday is ladies night.  That does not mean cheap drinks, apparently, that means FREE drinks.  Dang.  Also, the clientele is a funny thing.  I was there in the afternoon, and it was all 55+.  Apparently, the average age takes a major dip in the evening, and the place becomes more of a singles and couples hang-out.
