Seemed to have completed changed...NOT for the better.

Last time we ordered we got our food to-go. The lettuce wraps that were a favorite came pre-configured with three little wraps. The pasta we ordered was upwards of $18 and had enough to serve a toddler (if that) and when we asked if this was how much came if we were to sit down and eat they said "yes this is the size of all our pasta dishes"... We will NOT be returning.

I took a party of 12 last weekend (including 6 teenage girls in ridiculous dresses and paper mustaches), and we had a wonderful time! The food was excellent, and our server (I wish I would have caught her name) was terrific. She was very organized and friendly, and she pulled it off without a hitch. Also, a big shout-out to Taylor, who delivered our room service the next morning. Anyone who's that cheerful that early while carrying a tray that heavy deserves a raise!

The food was slightly overpriced, in my opinion, but delivery was accurate, prompt, and attractive.

The sirloin I had here was incredible- I wasn't big on eating steak before I ate at Minerva's, but this place made me a believer.  I am definitely going back any time I'm in Rapid City.

I thought the porterhouse here was absolutely fantastic!  If I ever make a trip back to SD, definitely stopping back here.

this is a great place to go for a nice, sit down meal. it's a little pricey on the restaurant side, but the bar is cheaper and tasty.

Decent menu. On trend atmosphere (if you like trends). Knowledgeable staff but poor communication.

My daughter ordered the triple mac and cheese without meat and without breadcrumbs. It came to her sans breadcrumbs but still had meat. After the wait, we didn't want to send it back, so she just picked it out. Other than that snafu, it looked really delicious. It had three types of pasta, gooey cheese, and a very generous portion of shaved Parmesan on top. I felt it was a pretty good value.

I asked to have the salmon risotto if it was gluten-free but then said if it isn't that I would have the Cajun salmon salad if it was gluten-free and MSG free. The server came back and told me that the risotto had gluten, so I reminded her that I would like the salad. My salad came to me undressed and without the spicy pecans the menu promised. A food runner brought it to me, and it was a long while before ever seeing the server again (partly why my daughter opted to pick the meat out of her pasta instead of sending it back). When the server finally came to check on us (after I was obviously looking around the dining room for her for a long time), I asked her about my salad. She went to the kitchen and then came back and informed me that they hadn't blackened my salmon because of MSG (I already guess that and didn't even ask) and that the nuts also had MSG in their seasoning. As for the missing dressing, she had no explanation. I asked her to just bring me oil and vinegar, and to her credit, she also came back with some toasted almonds.

If not for having to pick the black, slimy pieces of what should have been rinsed out of my spring mix before putting it on my plate, my salad wasn't bad. The salmon was cooked appropriately and was quite moist and flavorful. The size was also appropriate for the price.

All in all, I would likely come back here if I lived here, but it certainly would not be at the top of my list. It's a pretty okay place, and their prices mostly matched what they put out, if you are willing to deal with the sub par service. The service wasn't horrible, but it most certainly was not white tablecloth either.

Stayed at the  Best Western here, got in late so stayed at this on site restaurant for drinks and dinner. Great Happy hour deals at two separate times: 3-6 and 9-11. $2 Draft beers and well drinks (decent selection), $3 house wines, happy hour food prices as well ($5 for medium sized pizza). You can get the full restaurant menu in the bar, and we chose to eat in bar because it was more lively/fun atmosphere.

Our waitress was great, even though they were very busy. We had the Buffalo Burger with chive and horseradish cheese and split a steak and asparagus salad. Salad and steak was delicious,  but I've had better bison burgers (a bit dry and overcooked). Had two entrees, and 5 drinks for $40. Can't beat that!

Pizza's looked really good, would try those at another time if in the area.

It's ok. I had sirloin but really expensive ! Seriously understaffed and I felt sorry for the poor overworked woman helping us. I felt guilty asking her for more water, etc... She seemed like she was one broken dish away from a breakdown...

Hmmm.  Minerva's has two different areas of its restaurant.  The restaurant proper and the bar.

I have to state that the bar is WONDERFUL.  It's dark wood and fabulously comfy booths with oil candles on the tables.  The restaurant itself, I am not impressed with.  Neither the atmosphere or food works for me, and it's expensive.

However, the bar during happy hour is extremely busy and a fun place to hang.  Why?  They have some of the best mini pizzas in town.  For under $5 you can get what is about a medium sized pizza (they're half off during happy hour).  Perfect for one extremely hungry person or split between two.  They run this special twice a day, once at happy hour then again after 9:00 p.m.

Ideal for college kids and budget-watchers.

That's the ONLY reason I come here, for Friday happy hours if I'm in a pizza mood.  The white sauce-garlic shrimp pizza (hint: get extra cheese, they're generous here) is the bomb.  The crust is thin, slightly crisp, and a little chewy.  The sauce is light and buttery.  The pizza is oblong, not round, and served on wooden board platters.

Downside: it's CRAZY BUSY after about 4:30 and you have to sit up at the bar which is always crowded.  If you're wanting to hit this place for some cheap, yummy happy hour pizzas, then come really early, seriously like 3:30 and get a booth (biggest booths I've ever seen).

I wouldn't recommend any of the other food on the bar menu, just the pizzas.

Obviously, the bar isn't kid-friendly.  And this place can get quite loud.

Minervas, Minervas, Minervas . . . . I have been dragged here for brunch a few times. I have been very disappointed each time. If you are looking for a cafeteria style brunch this is your place, but Golden Corral is up the road so why not pay half the money if your looking for a cafeteria brunch? The wait staff is also non-existent during brunch so make sure you order everything you want the first time you see them, because they won't be back. Sorry Minervas you've just failed me one too many times.
