The fish is fresh, that alone should be enough of an endorsement in Indianapolis, but I'll continue regardless. It wasn't just fresh, it was also, critically, prepared quite well. The menu has a variety of flavor options, from buttery American and continental fare to more aromatic Asian-style offerings. The recipes themselves are largely classics, although there were a few less expected touches on the menu in places.
Be warned though, the portions are massive, and if you're not you're either going to want to skip the appetizer and dessert, or split the entrée. Appetizers are clearly designed to be split as well. The delicious mussels, for example, could serve as an entrée if only one person ordered them.
Service was better than average as well, the wait staff and hostess were all pleasantly friendly without crossing any sort of lines and getting too chummy.
Made online reservations for early Saturday evening and were seated immediately. The fish selections can be seen in glass enclosed cases as you go to your table. Excellent service from our waiter with only one minor error in service. Upon brings us a basket of hot bread the small plates had been removed from out table after we finished our appetizers and we had to request plates. This was not a problem as the waiter was very attentive and we quickly got his attention.
They carry Sun King beer, and draft beers were reasonable priced at $4.95 and the least expensive white wine was New Harbor Sauvignon Blanc at $28 {can buy for $8-10}. Cocktails were expensive at $8.95.
Our party of 4 ordered 3 appetizers. The large serving of Calamari(10.99) was great and had a very good dipping sauce. The crab cake {1} was ok. Thought overpriced at 12.95. The last appetizer, Ahi Tuna {very thin slices} was very good, but very small serving for $12.95. Next time I would go with 2 orders of calamari for 4 people. The $5.99 large bowl of Clam Chowder was ok. Caesar salad was large, and ok for $5.59.
I had the $29.99 special of the evening, Stuffed Sea bass. It was not really stuffed as the fillet had a scoop of shrimp and crab "stuffing" on the side. It was served with a large serving of smashed potatoes with  asparagus. The fish was excellent, the stuffing ok. The asparagus was cooked just right. My wife had the Market Trio which was salmon, shrimp and scallops, served with sticky rice and spinach. She said it was very good.
Upon request another basket of hot, crusty bread was brought to the table.
We all enjoyed our meals in a nice restaurant setting located in an upscale, outdoor shopping center, which meant parking was convenient. The location allows a nice short walk after dinner.
I know there are a number of 4 and even 5 star ratings for the restaurant, but we spent $237 before tip for 4 people. Most of their seafood entrees are $18-25. Â Even a hamburger is $13. Although the food was good and the service and setting excellent, I would expect a bit more for the price, thus giving it 3 stars. If I was on an expense account, or just did not care about cost, I would maybe go 4 stars.
