The menu has a variety of different foods that include rice, noodles, soup, appetizers and desserts. You can also choose the spiciness of your food, which comes in 4 different levels (mild, medium, hot and Thai hot). I've not tried anything past the mild, but I've had friends try both medium and hot and they liked it. They also have a lunch special that includes a small bowl of vegetable soup and a main dish that's slightly smaller than the dinner portion (though I still had leftovers, so it should be enough for people with large appetites). It costs about 8 bucks a meal for lunch and around 10 for dinner (if you only order a main dish and no add-ons), so a pretty good deal for your money.

    Now, onto the food.
I always order the Thai iced tea (which I think should be called Thai milk tea, but whatever) when I go. It's really good, some people do think it is too sweet but for people who like sweet, it's just awesome. You can't refill it though, so it's a bit pricey.
The free vegetable soup that comes with the lunch special is nice, you can see small chunks of veggies in it and it tastes pretty good, a little bit on the sweet side.
As for the main dish, Pad See Ew is my favorite. The wide rice noodles are aptly seasoned, sweet and spicy at the same time, though not overwhelming. You can order it with different meats (chicken, pork, beef, shrimp and tofu), and its served with some veggies and bits of fried egg. I've always had leftovers after I'm quite full, so I think it's a good enough portion for most people.
For those who have a big stomach or just want to try something else on their menu, their satay is a good choice. It's basically 4 skewers of chicken served with a peanut sauce and another sour sauce that I've no idea what it is, just that its good, lol. The papaya salad is also nice for hot days, cool and refreshing, though it's not an appetizer but a main dish, which I guess is a bit much.

The waiters are nice people and that little lady (the owner? Anyway, she has short hair) is absolutely too cute and funny. They're always happy to help, and will offer to take a group picture for you if they see you struggling. There is a really cool waterfall thing near the door, and the atmosphere I'd say is okay. It's never too loud for me even during busy hours. Service is a bit slow at times and the store is not big, so it gets really crowded during busy hours, often forming a small line, so if you are in a hurry, it's best to call ahead for a take out (they don't do delivery, which is a pity). Also, they don't let you reserve seats for groups under 7, so if you are anticipating a small group, better come early.

All in all, My Thai is a pretty good place in Bloomington for Thai food and I'd definitely recommend it to others.

Food is still EXCELLENT but a few things need to be addressed:

    1. To-go lunch special packaging: Since they don't deliver, you have to pick-up food. Given a lot of the meals are sauce based, the lunch specials should be packaged in plastic SEALED containers. Serving them to-go in styrofoam containers is stupid. I ended up with no joke ALL my curry sauce in the plastic delivery bag. Nothing was left in the styrofoam container. it's gross and messy. As someone who's family owned an indian restaurant (curries galore) we packaged them in neat little divided plastic containers to prevent or at least minimize leakage or straight up spilling.  Most restuarants do that. It's just common sense. I understand with lunch you are monitoring the serving size ... so get the small containers.

    2. Also, no brown rice. Should be an option! I come home and make brown rice since they don't serve it.

    3. Prices online don't match what you pay. They recently increased the prices (I am willing to pay) but it has already caused confusion for people!

    4. Closed Mondays. Unfortunate. I want it every Monday!

This place had great food and service, however every time I dine in they "clean" the tables with windex! Not only does it not sanitize but also smells awful when I'm trying to enjoy my meal! Please switch to a spray that is not so potent and actually sanitizes your tables!

My first time at My Thai proved to be very friendly, fast, & delicious! It was very busy on this Tuesday evening, so there was a small wait, but no more than ten minutes. The only downfall was that we were seated in the front near the window, so it was extremely cold in this month of December, so we had to keep our jackets on throughout dinner. The service was very friendly from the two who served us and even made an exception to one of their dishes (replacing the type of noodle). It was so good, I even ordered some to take home! I'm excited to go during the warmer months. Loved my bird carrot as garnish!

Really enjoy the food which is consistently good. The only issue I have is that I always take it to go and 95% of the time the to go packaging is so flimsy that it spills. Would love to see that change. Thanks

I love My Thai! The flavors are great, the food is fresh and it is pretty authentic.

Their fresh basil shrimp rolls are awesome.

It is a little expensive for drinks, so drink elsewhere or go there for the lunch specials
