Okay this maybe athentic if you never left the area. No flavor the spice level was way off. We told the waitress we like our food very spicy and she recommended for us to go with 3. I guess three would be for those who think Taco Bell medium sauce is hot.
Sorry for the bad review but for the price and lack of flavor and spice I wouldn't return.
Great customer service didn't make up for it what they are lacking.
I recently wrote a review for My Thai Table based on a negative experience we had while having dinner at the restaurant. Â I was not expecting to have such an immediate and persistent response from the owner, Sonia. Â She was truly concerned about the issues we had experienced, and wanted us to come back in for another try.
I am truly glad that we did! Â We sat in the corner booth, which was comfy and provided a nice ambiance for our meal. Â Our server was very friendly and helpful, and had made friends with our 8 month old daughter by the end of the visit :-) Â We spoke to both owners, Sonia and Kevin, and they both expressed their vision for the restaurant, as well as Sonia's lifelong love of cooking that led her to open My Thai Table. Â Seeing her passion for what she does was such an inspiration and truly enhanced our evening.
We ordered the fresh spring rolls again, as those had been our favorite item at the last visit. Â Again, they did not disappoint! Â We also started with the ground chicken salad, which was a real hit at our table--the chicken had a tangy lime flavor that was refreshing, with the the right amount of spice.
For our entrees, we tried the pad thai again--although we had not been wowed by it the last time, pad thai is such a thai food staple we wanted to give it another go. Â It was much more flavorful than the last time, and was the perfect "medium" spicy that we requested. Â The mango red curry special was probably our favorite dish of the night! Â We were fighting for the last pieces of mango, and made sure to use all of the rice to finish the delicious sauce. Â The only downside to it was that we had ordered shrimp but received chicken--however, we were so hungry and it was so good, we didn't even realize the error until much later in the meal.
We will definitely be in again soon. Â Just writing this review makes me want to go get some curry right now :-) Â Thanks again to Sonia and Kevin for the opportunity to come back in. Â Sometimes there are "off" nights, and we must have caught them on one; it was also extremely busy which may have contributed to the problem. Â I am confident that we will continue having great experiences at future visits :-)
I can't say enough great things about the service and staff at My Thai Table. My friends and I came here last night as we were invited back by the owners after a rocky first visit a few months ago. We met the owners Sonia and Kevin and they couldn't have been nicer. You know just by talking with them they are people who actually care about your restaurant experience and want it to be great! The restaurant is nestled in the left corner of Quarry Ponds right next to Pete's. They have an outdoor dining area which looks like it would be really fun once its not so windy! The ambiance is great and the tables with booths are really comfy.
For our appetizers we started off with the spring rolls, and ground meat salad with chicken. These are the perfect starters for three people and each dish was excellent.
For our entrees, we ordered pad thai with chicken and the daily special mango curry.
Both dishes were so tasty and made so well that we didn't have any left overs!
We have tried a lot of thai places in the area and this one is one of the best around. Sonia (the owner) is in the kitchen cooking up a lot of the food and she takes special care in making sure everything tastes and looks great!
Please check out this little gem in Granite Bay and support small businesses in the area!
Our family of 4 (2 boys : 5, 11) went to this awesome restaurant on Friday, 5/5/13 for dinner. We have to say that it was an absolute pleasure to eat here. The service was amazing, personal and food was excellent. The interior and decor is not something you will find in a Thai place (yeah, that was a compliment). My only suggestion is that the owners add Quarry Pond in their address. The will make it easy for people to get a bearing of this place. Very happy and will definetly go back.
Review Source:Excellent food, Amazing service, and an Awesome Atmosphere, what more can said about this restaurant. It is a hidden gem in the Quarry Pond Plaza on Douglas Blvd. As far as I can tell, Pete's Restaurant and Brewhouse gets most of the business, but this is our new favorite dining experience in town and totally worth stepping out of your comfort zone to try this place. The curries are great and authentic and the drunken noodles are totally worth blowing my diet for. Also almost every thing on their menu can be made vegetarian as well as with three different kinds of meat. I recently moved here from the Bay Area and My Thai Table can compete with the best Thai restaurants on the peninsula and I think it's the best in the Roseville/Rocklin area. Also the waitresses are very attentive and friendly and the owner visits our table every time we come in. What more can you ask for?
Oh, and make sure to save room for the fried ice cream - you can spit it amongst the table and it's very unique and tasty!
We have eaten here a few times and, for the most part, we really enjoy the food. Only two complaints are that they do not have non-Thai iced tea and their chicken in all of their dishes is ground chicken instead of actual pieces of chicken. It doesn't taste nearly as good and the texture is weird. The service was very friendly and the dishes that we ordered, that were not chicken, were very tasty. We have gotten fresh rolls, papaya salad, pad thai, drunken noodle, a couple different types of curries and all were very flavorful and their peanut sauce - so good! The location and atmosphere are also very nice - above the average Thai restaurant, for sure. But honestly, the chicken thing really bothers us and for this reason, even though we live 2 miles from this restaurant, we would probably opt to go elsewhere.
Review Source:We have been eating at this restaurant for approximately five months now. The owners are very friendly and will go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food has always been great. The service from the staff was a little un-organized in the beginning, but it seems to have been worked out. This has become one of our favorite places to dine out. It has a very nice atmosphere and has earned a perfect rating from us!
Review Source:This is an update to my 8/19/2012 review. Â At that time, I was greatly a fan of the food, but was questioning the poor service at that time. Â I have kept going there all this time, because the food is the best Thai I have found in the greater Sacramento area. Â Meanwhile, they have upped their game in the service department. Kevin and Sonia have been great, always welcoming me with a friendly smile and warm greetings. I have also gotten to know their menu a little better, and now I have two favorites- Previously I only had one, which was the Phad Thai with chicken and shrimp, medium spice. Now I also frequently order the Pineapple Fried Rice, with Chicken, medium spice. Â Also on my favorites list for appetizers is the Chicken Satay, with peanut sauce for dipping. It comes out golden-fried, and is a taste treat all in itself! Â Liu has come in with lots of experience in the service department, and runs a tight ship. Â Service starts right away, and you don't wait for drinks as in the past. The food comes quickly enough when you consider that each dish is made fresh in the wok each time. They are also attentive now to each customers needs, and will ask from time to time if you need anything. Â I gave it four stars before, for the food alone, but now they've earned it- 5 stars!!!!
Review Source:I hope the community supports this place. The food was delicious! We ordered satay chicken, spring rolls, Pad Thai and yellow chicken curry. All were very yummy and flavorful! The peanut sauce was excellent (served with the satay chicken.) The service was excellent and the atmosphere was modern, clean and very tastefully decorated.
Review Source:My hubby and I eat out a lot, and we eat at 4star-5star all the time. Â We were exited to try this place because of the great reviews....so we ditched out go-to Thai place and ordered take-out from this place.
WORST food ever! Â no flavor, just plain gross. Â We had Pad Thai, yellow curry, soup, fresh rolls. Â Had it not been pouring rain outside, I would of made my hubby drive the food back to return it. Â Sorry, but I truly hoped to love this place....but what a disappointment.
I think we trashed $50 bucks that night as Nothing got eaten.
My Thai Table is AWESOME!
GREAT FOOD
GREAT SERVICE
GREAT DECOR
GREAT OWNERS
We have been to this restaurant 3 times in the last month, you can NOT beat the price quality for the food you are being served. Great atmosphere very clean and upscale for a Thai restaurant not your cheesy carpeted run of the mill thai place.
I personally would pay more for the food but for the quality again you cant beat the prices at My Thai Table!
We eat here for the first time 5 months ago and we now have become  regular customers! we eat at this restaurant at least twice a week Kevin the owner is very freindly and welcoming. Drunken Noodles with ground chicken, Pad Thai Noodles, Satay Chicken and Spring Rolls are our favorties.
Review Source:After walking by this restaurant about half a dozen times in the past 4 months and going to Pete's Brewhouse or Hawks, my husband and I finally decided to give it a try. Â It was empty when we entered at 12:30 pm on a Friday afternoon, not a good sign. Â The waitress/hostess was very friendly and gave us our choice of tables. Â
The menu covered all the regular Thai dishes, but was not too large. Â We placed our order and within a minute complimentary salads were placed before us. Â The plates were chilled and the dressing was unbelievable. Â The owner later told us that the dressing is made fresh daily.
We shared the Yum Nua - grilled beef salad which was as tasty as I have ever had it. Â The 2 lucy entrees we ordered were chicken in green curry and beef with eggplant, beans and thai basil in brown gravy. Â They were both very tasty and spicy. Â We ordered all our dishes spicy, in between mild and Thai spicy. Â It packed a push but was not burn your face off hot. Â The only complaint was that the chicken pieces seemed a little bit on the skimpy side. Â the beef in both the other dishes however, was plentiful, more than what you would get at other thai restaurants.
We had a coupon from those envelopes delivered to your house. Â They took the discount off the bill but let us keep the coupon to use again. Â Extra points for that as we will be going back again soon.
I give it 4 stars for food, and 1 star for service. Â I've eaten there at least four times because I like their curries and noodle dishes, but I haven't been able to drag myself back after consistently SLOW and chaotic service. Â Last time I went by myself for a weekday lunch and there were maybe 4 other small tables, it still took 45 mins. for food to arrive and 1:15 to get check paid and leave. Unacceptable. It's been a couple months since I've gone, and hopefully they figured it out. On a positive, the young woman who runs it is delightful.
Review Source:Wow my son took me to this place and it was DA bomb, I mean the service was over the top the waitress was on her game and well the food my mouth is watering as I sit here and think of the food, in fact I wish they were open right now. Â The food is amazing.. It is a mom and pop shop with a big city menu at a everyone can enjoy budget.. You must go and enjoy. The coconut shrimp simply the best ever, pineapple rice OMG . I could go on and on. If you go there and they are a little busy, it is worth the wait. Like I said it's a mom and pop shop so take it easy, Â sit back and relax and let your mouth water.. the owners are amazing, and want to please you, so if for any reason you might have a question or concern address them they will bend over back wards to make you happy.. can't say enough good about his place. it is a must go have to taste place... In my book
P.S. have the daughter make you a slice of that fried ice cream wow um um um good
the mango rice was great to like I said you can't go wrong the place is great
What are you waiting for if you have not tried it , You need to
If you have been there its time to go back
And if your thinking about going your wasting time and a good meal just do it
Just finished eating here. Â The food was really good. Â Im a really picky eater so this came as a surprise. I recommend the pad thai and the chicken satay. Â I really like spicy food so this was right up my alley. Â The atmosphere was great and the service was outstanding. Â I met the owners and they were really friendly as well as the staff. Â I highly recommend this place!
Review Source:First of all, I love Thai Food and eat it where-ever I am when I travel, so I have a lot to compare it to. Â And while the location and ambiance are good, and I SO DESPERATELY wanted to like the food because I would be there every week if it was good, but alas, the food was terrible. Â We ordered a dish of every type on the menu...EVERYTHING was too salty to enjoy. Â We vowed not to come back...I hope it gets better, but the hit/miss reviews tell me the owners are not going to get it right. Â This location in Quarry Pond seems "cursed" for short turn arounds on restaurant start ups.
Review Source:The food is OK, My wife liked the drunken noodles. The red curry was so so a little too sweet for my taste. I say if this review was only based on food I would give them a 3.5.
It was the lack of professionalism by the staff that made this a not so nice dining experience. The manager and our waitress were not getting along. Our waitress told us that they fight all of time. I don't care and I don't want to know.
we will not be returning.
This place is awesome! Probably the best thai restaurant I have been to for its food and decor. Compared to other thai restaurants in the Sacramento area, this one is very modern. The food is great and they don't skimp of the spiciness. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves thai food.
Review Source:My Thai Table has a long way to go before it becomes a go to restaurant. We gave it a shot for the first time tonight and thought the food was actually pretty good. However they do need to adjust their spice rating - the medium heat is really hot. Â Also, their service and organization are extremely lacking and very amateurish. Our spring roles came after our main courses arrived, we had to ask for rice, our drinks came separately and our chili sauce never arrived. Â We also observed orders mixed up on three different tables. Â Finally, our check took longer to arrive than our food did, even after requesting for such twice. Â Moreover, the wait staff and host lacked serious knowledge of the menu. Â
As noted above, the food was pretty good and the staff/owners were pleasant, so if the service deficiencies are addressed  this restaurant may have a chance!
The food I found very promising. Tasty, well cooked with plenty of nice crisp vegetables, vegetarian friendly. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, including the kids...
... once we finally got them to take our full order. Â The service needs work. It's apparent they're new to the restaurant business, and haven't quite worked out the system. They're friendly and pleasant and all, but forgetful. Don't be shy about prompting them when you're ready to place an order or get your check, or you may be waiting a very long time if they should get distracted.
If they can work out the basics of waiting tables, this will be a great place for Thai in Granite Bay.
My husband and I tried this place tonight for the first time, the waitress got us water right away, than the other waitress took our order and apologized right off the bat saying they only have two servers tonight, but they will go as quick as they can, which we thought was very courteous to warn us, our food n beer came very quickly, the food was amazing best Thai food we've ever had, the flavor was perfect. We both had the #19, order it medium
if you like just the perfect amount of spice. All around everyone made us feel welcome, the co-owner was busting his butt helping out the waitresses with drinks, cleaning tables while doing all this with a smile and taking the time to chat with everyone. The waitresses were very sweet  , quick, despite how crazy busy they were they still chatted with us as well and our 8 month old son adored them ;). It seems all of them work as a team. Prices are bout $10 plate. Well worth it!!! We Will def be back again n again!
We've been coming here for at least once a week since they've opened. Highly recommend this restaurant for newbies to Thai as well as those with more advanced Thai palettes. The service and taste of food has been steadily improving since the opening. I am shocked at the reviewer who said the owner was rude to her and the employees. Kevin, the owner, is always extremely friendly and welcoming to not only the regulars like myself, but also the new faces to the restaurant. He even loads the electronic jukebox with
Quarters so patrons can listen to whatever they want throughout their meal. The restaurant is VERY kid friendly. All of the dishes are delicious, fresh and healthy but my favorite is the pad Thai with chicken, no tofu and extra peanuts. Everything about this restaurant is two thumbs up!
My Thai Table has wonderful Thai food. Â Thank God--the area seems to have had a drought of good Thai restaurants for a few years. Those dark days are thankfully behind us. Â The service here was really slow (otherwise, the food might be worthy of five stars) but I didn't mind as much when I got my order. Â Delicious, perfectly seasoned Thai cooking that really stands out, even to a lover of Thai cooking. Â
The Pad Thai, Red Curry, and Larb were all delicious--give this new restaurant a try if you're in the area!
The food is great! And the staff is super friendly.
But the service is supper slow. We were there 1 1/2 hrs. before we got our lunch.
And the same for the time we went for dinner. They give you a free dish and or free wine for waiting so long. I hope they can work out the bugs. Â They told me they had not been in the restaurant business before. Maybe they need to bring in a person who has had experience to help them get organized.
