Cover depends on who's playing. Â I will always show if Superlicious is playing! Â Be careful with your drinks, Ladies; there have been several instances of drinks being drugged and one in which a woman was rapped. Â Sadly, no one seems intent on doing anything about it, so stick together. Â Other than that, I love the options in bars and atmospheres. Â I love that you can escape outside for a bit when you get too hot. Â I also love the decor of the place. Â Check it out...especially if you love 80's music and Superlicious is ROCKIN' away the night!!
Review Source:I probably gave it 5 stars because I'm from Stockton and you won't find anything like Powerhouse Pub and Scarlett's here. Loved the band Spazmaticks and the choice of the live band at Powerhouse or a DJ at Scarlett's. I will have to say the stand out of the evening was Joel, the bartender behind the Scarlett's bar. My boyfriend spoke highly of him and his bar tending skills and he couldnt have been more right. Joel had personality, speed, and an amazing memory, keeping all the customers in order and seemed to not forget anyone's drink order if they came up twice. Looking forward to going again.
Review Source:Powerhouse has a cozy and welcoming layout. It's nondescript entrance leads you into an underground haven with two bars, a little patio and a hallway that leads to another bar. I came here to watch Zeperella, the worlds most amazing Zeppelin cover band, and my friends and I found the perfect vantage point from the balcony right over the stage.
The acoustics were rich, the beer was flowing and the band was on fire. It did get hot up in the rafters, and this was only countered by a half-ass air conditioning system that kicked on part way through the show. Besides that, I have no complaints and only look forward to more great concerts here in the future.
Trouble is, I live downtown. If only it weren't in Folsom...
