Loved this restaurant! We went earlier in the day just before peak hours and it was very relaxed and pleasant. The waiter was excellent! He was very friendly and
knowledgable about the menu, made plenty of suggestions, and took great care of us. We started with the calamari, which ended up being the best we'd ever had. It was prepared much differently than what we were used to, but we loved it! Our entrees didn't disappoint either. I had YiaYia's Dolmades, which are stuffed grape leaves with rice and seasoned ground beef, and my boyfriend had Jimmy the Greek's pork chop. We both cleaned our plates. We will probably pay a visit again during our next beach vacation. This is one restaurant that everyone should try at least once!

Mykonos was a nice find for dinner after a long plane ride from California. The Chicken Yanni was great and the green beans were "to die for"! The Hummus was good and the wine was cold. The waiter was nice and the decor was family pictures of the owner. The place becomes a dance club after 10 pm on Saturdays.

Im not sure where these other reviews were from? We went this weekend and the food was below our expectations, not authentic or even tasty. Service was good we did have a nice waiter but he couldn't help the food quality. Nice enough place unfortunatly I can't recommend it.

What greets you when you first enter this restaurant is a long ramp with rails. You'd wonder if that's part of the design of the restaurant or they just inherited that when they rented the place (I presume). Nevertheless, the ramp pretty much describes the look and feel of the place. They try too hard to be upscale but the design is gaudy (down to the fake vines hanging in the walls) that it feels like something is wrong but you can't quite figure out what.

Anyway, I had dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) with a tangy and creamy sauce for appetizer. It was the first time I had dolma with a gravy but I must say it was pretty good.

There is nothing remotely Greek about the "Greek salad" (per definition by the waitress) which comes with my entree. I guess if you add olives that makes it Greek . For the price that you pay here, you would actually expect a little more greens than just lettuce.

For the main course I had osso bucco (lamb shank with kalamata olive and sun-dried tomato sauce, orzotto (similar to risotto), and sauteed green beans. The lamb shank was good but it competes with the flavors of the orzotto too much which was a little too creamy for my taste.
Overall, the food is okay but not excellent. You can have a comparable meal in a less pretentious Greek/Italian restaurant for half the price.

Horrible service. Waited 20 mins. For drinks. Had to ask 3 different people for glass of water. Ordered appetizers. Wait 15 mins. After receiving appetizers , waited again to order entrees. Instead waiter asked if we wanted dessert ! Told him entrees usually come first. Will never ever go back. No sincere apologies were ever offered. Oh ,did I mention that the place only had 4 tables of people when we arrived. Not crowded ! Oh the food, small portions ,large price . Good luck !

The service and quality of the food were far superior to other restaurants in the Myrtle Beach Area. So friendly and did a great job of explaining the menu to us.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE...DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!! Our group of 4 walked into a near empty restaurant on Wednesday 5/30/12 at 6PM. The hostess sat us at a table even though we preferred a booth and there were many, many open. THEN, we WAITED 30 minutes....30 MINUTES!!!!.......with wait staff going to the other 3 tables of people because that's all that were there and totally ignored us. Never gave us water or even acknowledge we were there at all. No one in our party has ever been treated so badly in any restaurant EVER. My friend said "give them 2 more minutes." I counted 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, etc until 120 and then all of us got up at the same time with our menus left open on the table and walked out! The owner/host had the gall to ask us how we liked our meal....REALLY?????

Not sure where all the reviewers have eaten Greek food but this place is average at best. Even the menu is half Italian and the Greek options are just the basic diner options. What you get is fine but please let's not go overboard

We had dinner at this restaurant during the week around 6pm with 3 sets of families and kids. (6 adults and 5 kids) They had our table ready when we arrived and put us in a great spot where the kids could be as loud and as messy as they wanted to be.

Over all Mykonos has great food (get the lamb chops and the cheesecake - they are fabulous), a personable hostess, attentive wait staff, and ample, clean restaurant. Don't skip this restaurant if you want a yummy meal in Myrtle Beach.

I came here during their "lounge" openings and it was HORRIBLE.

I overheard the bartender telling a group of people to tip him. Seriously?? And then the music was even worse. The DJ didn't know how to transition any song if his life depended on it. He would often jump different genre's of music every other song and stop others.

NEVER going back here ever again. Even if my life depended on it. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

I knew this review was going to be fun the moment waitresses started shedding their clothes.

As Yelp indicates by it's listing, it's a nightclub. But it's also a restaurant...with some damn good food. I had the "award-winning" lamb and I damned-near liked the plate ("damn" seems to be the appropriate word in this review). But the vibe...

I have an internal PPPV measuring system or "plate price per vibe." The vibe better hold up to the price of the meal. At $24 a plate, I don't want to see two things: 1) skimpy cocktail waitresses (they literall started shedding close at 9pm) and 2) old retirees smoking cigarettes over Keno machines. The vibe didn't hold up.

To be fair, I showed up I don't think is seriously late but late enough that they started the nightclub change-over as I was sitting there. I got there at 8:30pm and by 9:15, the servers and stripped off their more professional attire in favor of...not much, all the tables save for mine had been completely rearranged, the lighting had darkened several candle power and they'd hung these hideously ugly, furry, cheetah-print panel things along the hall just behind me. The manager (as I was guessing by his "I'm a pimp demeanor" work a shirt with a giant eagle on his back. Fail.

The building itself is nice and the way tables are around the huge dancefloor harken back to a Sinatra-era hangout which was cool. They're emphasis is definitely on the nightclub and really should have better separation of upper-class dining from spring break beats.

Okay, so the vibe totally ruined what was an outstanding meal worth the moderately expensive price point. Get their early, if you don't you'll be throwing your pearls before swine...or something.

terrible, rude wait staff.......it was very busy and we understood waiting..but there was no reason to be so rude. the gentleman at the front was very nice but the oriental girl did not even want to give us a menu.......she "get it".....should have left then...down hill from there

I went to Mykonos in the early evening in May with my husband, 11 year old daughter and 4 year old son after noticing it while we were at Broadway at the Beach.

We started with a plate of grape leaves, which were seasoned to perfection and delicious. My kids, of course, wouldn't touch them.

My husband and I both opted for lamb, the chops and shank respectively. My daughter and son shared the pastitio. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I grew up in an area with a lot of Greek restaurants and this far surpassed my expectations. My kids actually ate, which is says a lot. My husband and I couldn't get enough of the lamb, both were completely traditional and fabulous.

The restaurant wasn't crowded at all, I don't know why anyone would be looking for a club atmosphere in a restaurant. Broadway is right across the street, where you can get all the drunk, rowdy tourist action your heart desires. The prices were what you would expect, not expensive and certainly not cheap, I would suggest leaving the kids at home unless they really love Greek food.. They have a coupon on http://restaurant.com now as well as a Sunday buffet, which I am looking forward to trying out.

Had a very nice meal at Mykonos last night. We started with two Manhattens which were brought to the table without the usual cherry. My wife asked about this and was informed by the waiter, "I think we're out of cherries." Not a cherry in either of two bars? Oh well. I had the 8 oz. filet and she had the ossobuco. She went to steady it with her fork so she could use the knife to cut a piece, and the fork came away with a nice bite of meat. She put the knife away, it was so tender. My filet was very tender and tasty. I went for the Euro-fusion topping which was good, but at $3.00 extra was a complete rip-off. If you want to offer some bleu cheese with chopped onions and peppers - fine, but @ $3.00 a tablespoon that's a little pricey. My filet came with sauteed vegetables and Greek potatoes which were very good. The ossobuco came with potatoes and pasta. Our servings were big enough that we took home plenty for lunch the next day.

The atmosphere is dark and rather gloomy rather than romantic. I think it's because the walls only go up high enough to divide the space, and then the rest is an exposed industrial ceiling with rafters, ducts, etc. where everything has been painted black. If you don't look up then the mood is fine.

I would go back.

Was pretty disappointed after reading several good reviews for this place. Although the service was top-notch, the food was not. We were quite upset when we noticed several flies flying around us while we ate dinner.

After vacationing in MB for 36 years, I've tried just about every restaurant in town TWICE! So, when I heard about a reputable greek restaurant opening up, I was pretty excited.

I have to say, I might have given them a little more than 4 stars if there had been more than 3 total tables on a Saturday night. Yep, it was dead in there folks and the place looked like it was shut down. The band/dance floor area looked a mess. The off season does strange things to a place in MB.

Now on to the good part! THE FOOD! I ordered the calamari steak appetizer and made it a dinner for $4.95 more. Wow, that is a wholelotta food! My friend got the spanakopitta. She said it wasn't the best she's had, but a good meal and agreed...huge portions.

What really surprised us were the martinis. Really creative and tastey! If the place hadn't been dead, we could have drank there all night. I would go back... they have a fantastic dinner menu... lots of variety!

Go GREEK OR GO HOME!

Mykonos is surprising good and on point. I say this as I have been to the island of Mykonos and have visited great Greek restaurants in NYC. I was happy to see this fare in Myrtle Beach our family's summer time hang out. The food is moderately priced and it's good quality and different then the other tourist traps. It's dimmly lit but not so bad that you can't see your food. My wife and I had a great meal and if you check http://restaurants.com you maybe able to get your meal of half priced (yes, I said half priced, just takes some time to research). So if you are looking for something different and a great mommy and daddy time alone, this is the spot.

Food was delicious. it probably was the best greek meal I have ever had. Boyfriend got ossobucco and it was outstanding. I dont even like lamb and I enjoyed it . Definitely make this one of ur stops in myrtle beach. The calamari appetizer was different and only had 5 pieces. My chicken meal (something with a "y") was also great and the greek potatoes were to die for

Went for dinner (not the dancing/ club part) and was blown away. The menu is full-on Greeky goodness and the food was delicious. I had the pork chop, and I have to say it was the most tender pork chop I've ever had. I was stunned with the quality and taste of it. My wife had the Shrimp Santarini and that was also tasty...had fresh shrimp and a delicious sauce. The rest of the menu had tons of traditional Greek things, from the basics like gyros and grape leaves to some other dishes I had never heard of.

The ambiance was large and classy looking (since it is a dance club at night) and there was some guy in a Spartan outfit directing the cars into the driveway. With the vast majority of the dishes costing under $28 it's a classy, affordable Greek dinner.

We picked this up for the family one night while on vacation. I ordered the Mediterranean Pasta, hummus and had a few bites of the Baklava. The pasta was light and rich in flavor and the hummus was creamy with that yummy hint of salt. However, the Baklava was a bit nuttier than I was use to. I wasn't a fan of it. Maybe it's better with the ice cream. We had them leave that part off because it was to-go.

Overall, my meal was delicious and would recommend it!

Yum! I was surprised to find that this place wasn't on a wait, but many other restaurants were. Maybe it was because it was Sunday and it isn't just a restaurant, but a dance club as well. We had a delicious meal. The taziki was the best I've ever had. The lamb chops with a Chianti and fig glaze were so tender and amazing. All 7 of us loved our dishes. The place is beautiful and the service was really friendly and quick. We had probably the pickiest eater in the world with us. (a 8 year old who only likes bacon and chicken) He ordered the kids cheese sticks and raved about it for days. If you are looking for a place to eat in town, go to Mykonos. I think you will be pleased you did.

The other reviews are right on the mark. I had ossobucco, IE falling off the bone lamb. Probably the most tender meat I have eaten. Couple the excellent food with the live music and quick service and you are left with a 5 star dining experience. Be sure to try the cheesecake: it is light and delicious! One piece is perfect for two people.

5 STARS!

Mykonos is amazing. This is at the very top of my restaurant experiences... quite possibly the best.

I had the 8 ounce filet with the house special Euro Fusion topping. Best... dish... ever! Cooked perfectly, melt-in-your-mouth tender and with an incredible flavor, this dish is the best $26 I've had the pleasure of spending at a restaurant.

The rest of my party got the Ossobuco, Chicken something-or-other, and Chops. The ossobuco was incredibly tender; it fell right off the bone. The chicken in sauce was very nice; light and well-flavored. I didn't get a bite of the chops, but there were no complaints. All of the portions were perfect - not too much and not too little.

The bartenders make outstanding drinks. My partner had a Ginger Martini and I had the Cucumber Mint Martini. Both were outstanding. You should, however, be mindful that the ginger cleanses your palate with every sip... not necessarily what you want when you're enjoying such a wonderful meal.

The live music is very nice and the musician is quite friendly. He comes around and plays for each table periodically throughout the night. Definitely a nice touch, especially if you're enjoying a romantic evening.

To my surprise, it's a great location to bring kids. Naturally, being a lounge-night club, there's a dance floor that the kids can enjoy themselves on. I know, you're probably a bit nervous about having children running amok on a nightclub dance floor in the middle of an upscale dinner. Set your nerves at ease, because it works out beautifully... kids end up slow-dancing to the serenade of the greek Bouzouki player, looking cute, and being surprisingly well-behaved.

Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Our young waiter knew the menu very well and was eager to make our experience a great one.

Mykonos is definitely on our must-come-back-to list next year on vacation!

**smoking is permitted at one of the indoor bars... smell does not travel to the dining areas thanks to good ventilation

Probably the best pork chop I've ever had in my life and I've had a lot! We decided to try this place simply since we saw it while driving to Broadway on the Beach. We had a party of 7 and everyone had a great meal. The dolmades were exceptionally good. The Greek salad had a nice kick to it. Really, everything was tasty and cooked to perfection.

Best Food In Myrtle Beach! I have been there 7-8 times since it opened on New Years Eve. I love the atmosphere, and the food is absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend the lamb chops, the ribeye, and the Tour of Greece. If you want an amazing meal, I highly recommend Mykonos.

I went to Myrtle Beach for an annual golf trip, and about 7 of our group came out to this dinner. This is right by the Broadway at the Beach area, very visible. Interesting building and interior - multiple levels/ areas of seating. Seems to work well to break up the space and probably great as a nightclub/ lounge. The service was excellent and the food was great. I highly recommend the Grouper... pecan crusted, cooked perfectly. Best fish I've had in many years. Several in our group also ordered the 7-course meal - great variety and pretty good. Would definitely go back.
