I love this restaurant ! The food is fantastic and very reasonable ! I have used them for all my party's and have always been very pleased ! They are very good and very dependable ! The owner and her employees are very friendly and very professional and I will not use anyone but Nanas for all my parties and I have many !!
I have never seen suck lousy service in my life and the place is not even open half the time it says it is and delivery when ever they feel like it.
I'd call this a family place, not a diner. Â Food is like home cooking, and is overall very good, with generous servings.
They have way with eggs, and serve a very nice breakfast with two homemade sausage patties, or bacon.  Their rye toast  (homemade) is especially good for dunking over easy eggs.  Also has homemade white (Italian) bread.  Both are for sale, plus a modest amount  of other in-house  baked goods.
Sunday I had two huge pancakes... they were thick, extremely light, and perfectly  done.  Best I've had in quite a while.
The menu is large, with a great many choices, Â but not a great deal of emphasis on fancy Entrees. Â Yes, old fashioned atmosphere, but I like that. Â Good and clean. Â Service is usually very nice.
Yes, I like the food here. Â I have no connection with the place at all, although one owner, Paul played on a Little League team I helped coach. Â (g)
It is a classic diner for selection and taste and service. Overall, A-OK.
I Heard about this place as it has a good reputation in the Newark area for catering parties and showers. It apparently opened up in 2012. They are said to do fair amount of take out too. Traditional family diner selection of sandwiches and entrees.
Lunch specials tried today included a fish sandwich with a side 6.99, hot turkey sandwich with fries and gravy 6.99, and fish dinner (with slice of bread, fries, and slaw) 8.99. All were decent. Served up fast, which is nice plus at lunchtime.
They have apparently taken over a space from a previously closed restaurant and brought a north end of Newark neighborhood dining spot back to life which is great for the local folks.
Presently, the dining area is a bit dated, as it was like walking back into 1966. Linoleum flooring, square metal tables with white tablecloths underneath a  sheet of square plastic, and small counter dining area near the kitchen.
