Great place and friendly service. I'm just visiting Columbia for a while but I've been here twice already. Had the Brown Stew chicken on day one and Curry Chicken on day two. Both dishes were great seasoned right and cooked as authentic as you could expect. It was almost like being back home. By the way I had a beef patty here and one other Jamaican  restaurant, this one was better also they changed the name "Mobay Bar and Grill".

Had the curry chicken, rice, collards, and mac and cheese. Flavors were excellent. Seasoning was perfect. Even I, the salt-aholic, did not pick up the shaker for the entree or sides. Collards were very good and were cooked without pork, which is important to those who do not eat meat. Mac&cheese was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. My husband, who is not eating meat during Lent, got the Kingfish, and rice and peas. The kingfish is not a filet and the bones were not removed, so although it tasted very good, he did not finish it. Too much work. And the rice and peas was very disappointing. It was extremely dry and really needed something...sauce or just not to allowed to dry out. I suspect most people have it with a saucy entree on top. In that case, it would have been okay. We got the fried shrimp appetizer and that was tasty, too, though a bit pricey--$7 for six small to medium size fried shrimp in a basket of fries.

The interior was nice and cleaner than I would expect for a bar. It is a very small place, but outdoor seating is available if the weather is right for that. There are only about eight booths and then seats at the bar, so very small place.

Service was good, if a bit distracted. Waitress was very friendly. In fact, all the staff we talked to were very friendly. She had never had some of the menu items, so she wasn't able to tell us what they were like, which was a bit disappointing.

We will definitely go to this restaurant again. Whether it is strictly Caribbean-style or Southern, I don't care. It was very good with only a few misses.

I have been searching for a Carribbean restaurant. I'm part Jamaican so I love the food. It's hard to find the real deal in the souther states. Have been here 3 times so far since my friend told me about it. They have a buffet time something like 11 to 2 pm. We went twice to that. Nothing galore but fresh, hot, and seasoned to my taste. They had dishes like: plaintains, jerk chicken, curry chicken, rice and peas, white rice, cabbage, corn, and more. Probably 3 tables of food. Unfortunately no oxtails were part of the buffet, the pricing was fair for the buffet. I can't recall the priceThe last time I went I just ordered oxtail meal. OMG it was delicious. The meat was tender and falling off the bone they way I like it. They weren't skimpy on the meat too. Usually places give you all the meat in the gravy or he one's just made up mostly of bone. However, these were awesome. Now specialty trays like this and curry goat are somewhat pricey. I thing I paid like close to $12. Money well spent to me. Will definitely go back again
