Newman's Sports Bar and Grill

We stopped there for lunch to check out a new place for burgers. Started with an appetizer of the jalapeno poppers which by far are the best I have ever tasted! I dont usually like poppers but my boyfriend does so I did the usual ya, ok I will try a taste thing. Huge peppers Done with a beer batter and bacon cream cheese filling with kick were just amazing.  I am always trying to find a good bacon cheeseburger and this place has a FANTASTIC burger!  It had nice thick cut bacon, grilled red onions and the tasty juicy beef is ground fresh every day and you can taste it.  No need for any dressing on the buttery toasted bun, it was so delicious!  Definitely will come back and try other things here

It was good. Atmosphere wise they have some work ahead of them!! But I have always loved that little house! The waitress was really nice, no complaints with food or drink. I had a burger and onion rings and was really happy with it seeing I ate the whole damn thing :) menu is pretty small but c'mon its a new business give them a chance! I would rather support local small business than eat at some nasty chain restaurant

I have read a few of the other reviews and I think the very low ratings are a little unfair. I certainly wouldn't give this 5 stars or even 4 what is a very okay place. I'm not particularly sure what people are expecting especially when they refer to it as an "old people" place.  I am NOT an "old people" but I think that's a pretty insulting term.

I had a BLT and my friend had a Reuben. Both were okay but nothing to write home about.  There is a fairly limited selection of beer but they're certainly enough to get something to drink.

I think it is really unfair to personally call out any server on Yelp unless they are really really particularly bad. The server mentioned in other reviews was my server tonight and I thought she was perfectly fine. I really do sometimes wonder what people are looking for when they write bad reviews on Yelp. Normally I would not care too much but since there are so few reviews on this place I think it's fair to say it is a great it is in bad its just OK and average food.
