North River Tavern

Awesome place! One of my favorite bars in the area. Very happy my job is only 5 minutes away. Always a great time!! :)

This place has the look of a typical bar or tavern which is great. I went on a Thursday evening. It was not too packed. I had a chicken quesadilla and tacquitos. They were both pretty good. About what you would expect from a bar kitchen. The prices were pretty average. This place has a small stage, full size bar and pool tables in back. The drinks are moderately priced and have specials. I'll definitely be back to check it out again.

I would give this place 5 stars except for the service. The bartenders actively avoid/ignore you when you try to catch their attention: it takes walking up to another part of the bar to actually order a beer and some food. Not really friendly either, you can tell they're just there so they can get a paycheck.

Other than that, decent atmosphere, lots of TVs and bar games to play, and excellent food and drinks. VERY hot wings and cold beer in frozen mugs for a reasonable price.
