Wow, the menu reads decently but the food is  poor. I used to frequent O'Connors years ago to imbibe but not for the food and now I remember why.  I had a few hours free from the family and thought to swing by and have a bite and a beer, or two. Ordered the Halibut after consulting with the bartender whom declared it was fresh and prepared well. Served with a caper/vinaigrette, what? It was lathered in salad dressing and over cooked. I was so hungry that I ate half but just couldn't finish even after scraping off the "dressing".
My personal rule was broken, if at first sight nothing on the menu looks enticing move on. Go someplace else and don't expect the bartender to suggest food.
This place is great.  I'm not sure when it was founded but they've been in  business for at least 30 years.
Their food is really good, the ambiance is nice, and they make great drinks. Â Kate's Special is one my favorite breakfasts of all time - Potatoes, peppers, cheese, eggs, and their creole sauce all served with a couple of tortillas on the side.
