This is a upscale dive bar or a traditional place where a lot of regulars hang out. They have witty bartenders when I have been in there and the drinks are always strong and good tasting which says a lot and it not easy to do. This is where we always start our visit to beautiful Walnut Creek. I have not eaten here but the food that I have seen other people order looks really good. Salads seem generous in portion size.
Review Source:Picking bars for me is like a dog walking in circles trying to find a place to lay down. The Office is an unassuming place to drink. No frills, nothing too crazy. It's a dive and it does a good job of that. I've been there twice, once was on Karaoke night and once on a monday. The Karaoke night was what you would expect. Lots of concord folks who can't and should not sing but did their best! Monday was pretty quite, a few local regular types playing pool. I went with a friend and only intended on staying for an hour. Ended up being the last folks in the bar. The bartender was pretty cool, I think her name was Julia but I am bad with names. A few attempts at conversations with super wasted folks was entertaining. I just wish it was a few blocks less to the Office from my house, but that is hardly their fault. I'll be back.
Review Source:We've got our regular haunts in the City, we're good. Â We've been missing a reliable, under-the-radar bar within a few miles of my place. Â Â My Ex actually found this place for us, he knows what we look for in a bar: cheap drinks, low profile, and a friendly bartender w a heavy hand.
The bartender (Michelle?) was great, she knew perfectly how to balance joining in a couples' conversation and leaving them be. Â She was also amazingly friendly - it was like we'd known her for years.
There's an outdoor smoking "room" - picnic tables, etc. - you can bring your drinks with you.
There was one guy off in the corner in a suit and tie... Â taking the whole "Office" thing a bit too seriously, I'd say. Â At least take your tie off before coming here.
Divey little spot with friendly staff, cheap strong drinks, pool tables, and wed night karaokee. This place certiantly is not for you yuppie ladies who dont know the definition of ghetto. If you dont mind chillin with people not always rockin cardigans and coach purses you'll enjoy catchin a buzz here. Oh and did i mention how cheap the drinks are...
Review Source:Hey - if you want a dark cool spot with cheap drinks - this is your spot.
I prefer something a smidge more lively - I have been here twice - one time when I went with my buddy and a creepy old guy ran his finger along Mess' back - We finished our drinks and exited post haste.
Not the bar's fault though - it is the definition of dive bar - and people who randomly touch you sometime hang out at dive bars
The Office is your local suburban dive bar. It's located near downtown Concord in this alleyway off Willow Pass. The bartenders are nice and the crowd is full of regulars. I came here with a regular, and she knew pretty much everyone there, and suddenly so did I.
There's a pool table or two as well. There is also a covered outdoor patio with a picnic table. This place is kinda of off the radar which is cool. You can take drinks outside with you and chill in the alleyway if need be. There's an assortment of office furniture around the place like an old rotary phone or rolly office chairs.
I almost forgot the funniest part; there's also one of those arcade style stuffed animal claw games, but in this machine, some of the prizes are ridiculous (softcore?) porn dvds.
I don't really like bars, but I like the anything goes attitude here. This bar is pretty great for the 'burbs.
