The Chicago style Hawaiian pizza is the absolute best pizza I've had in my entire life.  Fun atmosphere and great food - no complaints here!!

You get what you know your going to get at a chain. The deep dish pizza is great! Large selection of beers always helps any occasion.

We did not like one of the beers on the menu (Woodchuck Pumpkin Cider)  but our waitress, Alex, was nice enough to swap it out.

Quintessential Evansville experience. Place is called Old Chicago, but is neither from Chicago nor Chicago style. Place serves average food that rarely excites or disappoints, and hides behind the 110 beers. Good place for beer and pizza that pretends to have any relation to Chicago.

Lunch buffet is where it's at.  A TON of beer on tap, and cheap drinks on Monday.  Can't complain at all!  This place is delicious.  And, the italian nachos are an item you MUST order.

I eat at home 6 days a week. I am preparing for an Indiana NPC competition so my diet is high protein diet and people who are into fitness industry would understand what I am talking about.
So once a week I treat my body with normal food. As in burgers, fries, soda. I ordered a Cheeseburger from OC and came to pick it up at the Lloyd Expwy location. The lady who took my order was Dawn. So when I entered I was greeted by a very young (may be a college freshman) server and I asked her "Hi, are you Dawn?," and she replied "NO, I AM NOT DAWN." As if I offended her is some way. Really!!!
I get it, you are new in Town, you are adjusting to new place, new job. However, it is not my fault. I am just here to pick-up my order and have a little chat.
People like these should be fired.
As far as the food is concern, I would give it 2.5 stars.

I love eating here.  My food has always been excellent and it is hard to argue about a menu with over 100 beers.  Great place to watch the game or hang out with your buddies.  Over-sized booths mean you can easily seat a group of 6.

Magic Hat #9 Ale...be good to yourself.

Chain, yes. Yummy? Oh yeah. Evansville has an enormous void of decent restaurants. Very few decent local places. When I lived there, this place was within a mile-ish of my apartment. THANK GOD. Regularly met friends from work here late after 2nd shift got out for some beers and food.

The food in general is pretty good, with the exception of the pizza rolls. I feel that these are less pizza rolls and more angel teardrops in the form of amazingly tasty appetizers. Those things are unbelievable. I probably had them 3 times a week for two years. Normally, I would be kind of embarrassed by such an admission. But they are THAT DAMN GOOD! Lots of beers, plenty on tap. Pretty good food. Definitely a good option on the east side of E-Ville.

This was a regular hangout for me and my friends because of drink specials, the World Beer Tour, and the food.  For those of you that don't drink beer, no worries, plenty of mixed drinks.  There are always some kind of special on drinks whether it is a special on well shots, to specials on bottles of beer (which can be helpful when you're trying to tick off 110 beers).

The food is pretty good, I don't think I ever had a dish at Old Chicago I didn't like.  Some highlights:

Signature Trio Appetizer is wonderful, except the garlic cheese bread, I always get it without cheese.  But if you can't make a decision between the Pepperoni Rolls or the Italian Nachos, you can have both!  Great to share or as your entree (it is a lot of food!)

Italian Nachos - by far one of my favourite dishes.  If you're going to drink (kill a couple more beers on the WBT) and chat with friends, order this appetizer.

Antipasto Salad - delicious!  If you are looking for a different starter salad, this one is nice because of the vinegary dressing, the cheeses, and pepperoni and salami.  It is a nice compliment to a slice of pizza.

Fish and Chips - better than a lot of places.  The slaw is nice because it has some peppers in it, so it is kind of sweet, but tangy.  You get about 4 pieces of fish on the plate.

The Italian Melt - another one of my favourites...  salami, pepperoni, provolone, pepperoncinis...  what's not to love.  Beware it can get greasy.

But by far...  I enjoyed building my own pizza...  Chicago style crust with mushrooms, spinach, and artichoke hearts...  yum!

The pasta dishes...  well let's just say that I don't think that they are the best items on the menu.

The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5...  the service was a bit hit and miss.  Sometimes you would get outstanding service, sometimes you would barely get service...  it just wasn't very consistent.  The other thing is when they are out of either beers (especially when the beer menu hasn't been updated for a long time) or out of prizes when you reach a certain milestone on your tour.  Again if you had a good server, they would let you know about any changes to the beer menu or they would try to recommend something similar.  And on the prizes, you get an IOU, but sometimes when you bring back your IOU they still don't have it...  there was one time when they actually called me when they had one of the items back in stock.

And if your server doesn't know much about the WBT (shocking I know, but it has happened a lot more than it should), then you'll want to double check your receipt with the print out of beers you drank as sometimes they will just type in a number, and you can end up with doubles instead of adding new ones.  AND...  they can look up your card if you don't have it, but you have to register your card online.  If they tell you they can't, it is because they either don't know how to do it or they don't want to do it (sad, but true).  I think all they needed was my DOB and my name.

Overall, I still like Old Chicago and think if you are going to frequent every now and then, you might as well sign up for the WBT...  it is free to join and you often get Foamer Bucks which can be used toward your food...  I've gotten free medium pizzas on my birthday and $5.00 here and there.

I came to Old Chicago to get a Chicago style pizza.  You know, it is deep dish with thin cracker crust on the bottom and sides.  Plus, many layers of cheese and toppings with the sauce on top of everything else, not buried underneath.  Well, a Chicago style pizza is not on the regular menu here.  This really pissed me off...

The pizzas offered here are thin crust cut unto pie slices and stuffed crust.  Neither of which are Chicago style pizza.  To actually receive a Chicago deep dish you must fork out $19.99 for what they refer to as the "Ultimate" pizza.  Which is neither ultimate, and just decent.  There was not enough cheese and the entire pizza was deflated.  The crust was dry and not overall appetizing.

Old Chicago is not a Chicago pizza place.

Had the non-deep dish pizza and it was disappointing. Having lived in Chicago for 17 years, they're nowhere near as tasty as Giordano's or Lou Malnati's or Gino's East or even Uno/Duo. Friendly, fast service, noisy jovial atmosphere. Plenty of seating.

I like to come here for lunch more then dinner because they have a good endless pizza buffet and they have a good antipasta side salad there pizza is good and the service is mostly good it just seems every time we are waiting a while for the check the reason i like to go there for lunch is because dinner time especially on nights with sport events it is a very long wait so good pizza OK service and a nice place in general if you like pizza and are OK with a wait then its a good place

Oooo weee i love some deep dish.

So growing up as a kid i hit that metabolism jump between 7th and 8th grade.  Pizza night was always friday night with the family and they always ordered my own large deep dish dominos pizza.  Still one of the best deep dishes pizza ok?  its alright to have some love for chain places.. its not always about Mom&Pap places

Spent time with my family in Evansville, IN and when i saw Old Chicago I knew they were gonna have some good deep dish pizza... you cant put that on your store title and not have it

I'm loosing my emotions cause i think im typing too much right now.. basically the place has a lot of different dishes but get yourself the "meat me" deep dish pizza... kind of on the expensive side like BJ's pizza but i actually enjoyed this more than BJ's

I ate with 3 others.. and i sampled all their plates.. one got a meat calzone which was excellent.. one got a BBQ chicken sandwich that was what you would expect and another got the spinach calzone and damn do i love calzones

if you ever find yourself in Evansville, IN.. near the Kentucky border.. hit it up

    YEEEE
