Old Glory Tavern

Great bar in Hammond. The waitresses are very friendly, Mellisa and Katherine are great. I've been going here for 8 or so years and I've never seen one fight. People come here just to have a drink and take it easy. Not a club bar if that's what your looking for. Small but cozy the beers are always ice cold and the jukebox has great songs.

I don't like this. It's great for an older set of people like early 30s. Not my cup of tee but I was told that they have a really good night life.

Well they lack any kind of fun entertainment, such as a pool table,  video games, ect.; yet somehow it's still a darn good bar. There is a jukebox, which I think is a pretty good one. The people are quite friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is just real nice and comfortable, almost like your at home drinking. The crowd keeps to themselves and is just there to have a good time like you. It's not somewhere you'd really expect to find trouble as opposed to quite a few other Hammond bars(even some of the very best ones). The washroom is immaculately clean just for a washroom in general, but especially since it's a bar bathroom.  There's sometimes live entertainment.
