I went here on an off day (Father's Day) but did not leave disappointed. Â The drinks are heavy and reasonably priced. It's not a large establishment but has a state of the art jukebox and karaoke if you are into embarrassing yourself. The bartender, Heather, was accommodating and friendly. As others have said, be mindful of the police station right down the block.
Review Source:Feeling blue at home and waiting for someone to invite me out, Jennifer H. read my mind somehow and told me to get my sorry butt to where she was.
First thing I noticed when I got there was ... parking is interesting. I told Jen that there was no parking but she said it is like that and to park behind her car. You basically move your car when someone needs to leave and believe me, people will go around asking since it's a small place.
It's cool. I parked at the park instead since I love the park and don't mind walking. With only 20 minutes left until Happy Hour ending at 8pm, I got Johnnie Walker Black shots for $2 each. Holy cow. YAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!! I also got Jim Beam and Coke for 2 friggin' dollars too!
My friend is a regular and she said a lot of the drinks here are made really strong and after trying some of hers, I agreed. But I like it that way! After Happy Hour ended, the live band retired for the night and we were left with other patrons singing karaoke while we played darts.
Prices after Happy Hour are really not that bad at all. I had a Glenlivet 12 on the rocks for $6.75 (you can tell the price from the huge old register the bartender Barbara utilizes!). There's definitely a sense of community here and everyone is incredibly nice (possibly owing to the drinks).
This was definitely a fun night and made me forget my troubles for a while. Good company, good drinks... and you can bring your own food in.
I can't wait to go back with my friends!
NOTE: Bar is close to the Arcadia Police Station, please drink responsibily. If not, then make sure to have a DD or call the cab! Be safe than sorry.
best bartender. And I love watching people swasted here. Lol
I love the new jukebox
Finally got the chance to sit by the game machine! Since when did the game machine have beer pong to play? Lol
Jack Daniel honey on the rocks please!
The band is amazing here on Wednesday! :D
Happy birthday, Barbara! :]
Barbra, the bartender its the best!
$2 well drinks including henny? Holy shi... Where have we been?!
Love how when I want to update the reviews, all my tips are saved onto this review box. Shows how much I enjoy coming here!! Haha...No seriously, this is the best dive bar in Arcadia. Yeah, there's a few older people, but who gives a f....? You're here with your friends, with cheap drinks! Barbara is a sweetheart! Each time I bring friends with me, including boyfriend of course, she would wave over to us and ask what we would like to drink.
Best nights? I'd say Wednesday! I love, love, love the band who plays there during happy hour. Right. Wednesday happy hour starts 5:30pm-8:00pm. $2 drinks anything. Yes, I said ANYTHING. Grey Goose, Hennessy, Jack Daniels, Johnny Walkers and any top self for the entire happy hour.
Free Karaoke! Lots of oldies and some recent ones. Take a couple of shots and sing away! ;) No one judges here, that is why I love it.CASH/CREDIT CARD accepted!
Have fun and drink responsibly :)
A definite dive bar for locals, crowd is older white males, not too fond of newcomers was my impression. Â Parking can be a bit of a hassle but not due to space, availability is directly in front of the bar, and is off the main road. Â I've noticed a lot of reviews mentioning Karaoke, so I will be back later to check this place out at night and give it another shot. For now, I would say its an O.K Local Dive Bar.
Review Source:The bar is very much a locals kind of bar. Â The drinks are pretty cheap but the bar tenders are super nice and friendly. Â We come here for birthdays or just to have a good time karaoke-ing. Â What's Up? by 4 Non-Blondes is my song.
Parking is ok. Â There is a little lot in front, tandem style. Â Very close to a police station so any one drinking and driving...no bueno.
A wonderful "dive-y" bar located centrally near a Denny's, Santa Anita Race Track, and a couple motels. The parking lot is stacked, and it's never a problem finding parking.
There is a state-of-the-art electronic jukebox where you can request songs on the touchscreen interface or via an Android/iOS app. Or, if you want to sing karaoke 7.25 DAYS A WEEK without judgement and to your heart's contentment, the bartenders will gladly lend you a microphone.
The sound system is loud as all get-out and the television that the lyrics scroll across is so big I don't need my oversized prescription glasses to see it.
They have a great song selection that was updated as recently as January 2013. The most recent additions are in the front of the binders. They have an ever-growing selection of pop, oldies, country, and even songs in Spanish - but no country songs en Español yet. There are multiple versions of certain songs (MIDI, regular instrumental, tracks with background vocals and videos). My personal favorite songs to sing are, "On Top of Spaghetti" and "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" (no judgement).
On Wednesdays there is a band in the bar from 6- 8PM and on Tuesdays $2.00 drinks are served in glasses. If the drinks were any cheaper, I'm sure the bartenders Helen, Barb, or Heather would pour them straight into your mouth. There is also a wonderful selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. I always order a Froot Loop or a Lime Sunset (virgin drinks) and they can even brew up a batch of coffee.
Side note: The bartenders themselves pick up the microphone every so often, and I am never failed to be impressed at their ability to continue tending bar while belting out a tune.
There are also a half-dozen HD televisions set up all across the bar, playing different sports games and late-night television shows. I don't know what the hell those TVs play during the day - what kind of person visits a bar during the day?
There is an outdoor patio area for people who are hopelessly addicted to nicotine. I would describe the lighting situation inside the bar as "semi-lit" during the evening which is shocking when it switches to "fully lit" at last call and you can see the person you've been buying drinks for.
So whether you are a singer, want to hang out with your friends, or bring your mother out to listen to people sing Elvis Presley songs - this is the place.
I Hate Writing Reviews Like This.
Finding the perfect dive bar is no easy task. The place has to be dark and grimy and have that distinctive dive smell, yet at the same time it has to be safe, cozy and feel like home. It's like your favorite sweatshirt with the gaping hole in the armpit. You know it's a hot mess but you still love it.
So I move clear across town and I'm still trying to figure things out. I need to find a new drycleaner, car wash, super market and I couldn't find a place to enjoy a drink and sing a few songs. Then I found 100 To 1. It really is just like finding a needle in a haystack. THis place is small, divey, and the karaoke machine is operated by the bartender with a remote control. Come early like me and dominate the damn mic for five or six songs in a row. No one will care.
I'm afraid that if everyone discovers how cool and relaxed this place is that I won't be able to sing anymore.
$2 well drinks. Yes two dollars. Don't tell anyone about this place. It's mine.
Guarantee you walking out here either buzz or drunk! Best dive bar in Arcadia. Parking might be a ...itch but they do have a private parking in front of their bar, however, cars will be parked right behind each other. No need to worry about cars parked behind you because they'll have to move it once you announce it in the bar. If no one moves it, the bartender, Barbara or Helen will announce it out loud on the mic until someone responds.
Happy hour here is deadly dangerous! Tuesdays they have beer bottles $2 and Wednesday 5:30PM-8:00PM ALL drinks $2! Yes, you heard me, ALL drinks... including Hennessy on rocks, Jack Daniels, grey goose, johnny walkers.. oh you know, all the good stuff. Take advantage of it! How did I miss the shots? Shots are included on their as well! Just remember, it starts at 5:30pm on a Wednesday. Perfect place to be after a long day at work.
No food is serve BUT they have a menu of this Mexican food place that's across the street that delivers, so let the bartender know then order away while you're enjoying your drink and company with whoever you're with! Bringing your own food into the bar is welcome. Free karaoke, dart games, poker video game, and a machine game to keep you entertained. Cash/credit accepted!
Strong drinks, chill place, fun times, definitely coming back here with the girlfriend!
P.S - Kids, don't be starting fights here. You do not want to angry the locals.
You know! This is a true dive bar ! It was my first time here and I had a great time. The place is small, don't serve food, BUT, they can grab you food from a local restaurant called peppers right across the street, they actually have good food when I used to go there past.
At this place, make sure you look for their specials! 2 dollar drinks and all! Wednesday afternoon happy hour is ALL drinks at $2 a pop!
Where else are you going to find that?!
Hi.. I'm Helen... a bartender at the Hundred and I wanted to let you know that we have $2.00 Tuesday's... All our domestic beer and well alcohol is $2.00 your daytime bartender Cayce is there from 10am-6pm and I'm there from 6pm-2am. It's a fun time of drinking cheap along with darts and Karaoke!!
We also have a band called The Smokey Lonesome that play every Wednesday from 5:30-8:00pm Your bartender is Barbara and she will serve you up any drink in the house for $2.00 for 2 hours while the band plays!!
We at the Hundred strive to make our bar fun and affordable!!! Hope to see you soon!! :))
Cheap drinks. Â Excellent people watching. Â Smoking patio. Â Karaoke. Â All of the ingredients you would expect in a dive bar. Â Weird crowd levels though. Â I went on a Friday night and found it to be crowded, but not too terrible. Â Plenty of room to enjoy myself. Â Then I went on a Tuesday and couldn't get in it was so packed. Â Either way, this is a good time. Â Also, park in the residential area across the street.
Review Source:I can honestly say that today is the day that I can say I have fully recovered from my night at One Hundred to One. This place is special. The people that come here, whether regulars or not, have one simple mission: To sing til they can't sing no more! Oh my gosh. Even if you are not with mike in hand, you can sing at the top of your lungs while holding your stiff as funk drink, AND trying to keep your lil behind from falling out of your stool!
We should never judge a book by it's cover. Especially if it offers top quality alcohol expertly prepared for under 10 buckaroos!!!! Ya heard!? Yes. I said it.
So please, if you love music, and you love to sing along with complete just as tipsy strangers.....You'll be glad to add your One to this Hundred :)
This spot is a true dive bar, and not the cool kind the hipsters hang out at to get away from the trendy Pasadena crowd. The bathrooms may have smelled better than the bar itself. Although it could have been the patrons.
I went with a group and we had a good time with their karaoke scene, but unless you're cool with almost getting into fights, having weird guys hitting on your dates, and poor service for the sake of cheap drinks and singing your heart out to a limited number of tunes (no 'Bad Fish' or 'What I Got' by Sublime? Unreal.) you've gotta try pretty hard to make this place worth your while.
I guess there's parking in the back but we only saw the front lot too and parked across the street then walked. I don't know, confusing to say the least.
Cool bar that is kind of hard to spot your first time around (LOL friends I invite this place to always get lost and miss it even with a GPS hahaha), it's a short drive from First Cabin and Jamie's, so perfect to plan your route around if you feel like working a circuit around town with a friend or two.
2 dollar PBR's, 4 dollar wells/mixed drinks, + a karaoke machine that you are free to drunkenly let loose and humiliate yourself in front of if your heart so desires to tunes by greats such as The Eagles, or not so greats such as Taylor Swift (I'm happy that she won the award for best music video and all, but Beyonce still had one of the best music videos of all time..... Of all time...... Thank you).
One of those dives that REALLY catches you off guard.
This is not the wonderful good vibes neighborhood bar like Al's in San Gabriel.
I was already buzzed when I rolled in here around 9pm, and the moment I walked in the door I felt completely sober because everybody in this bar was HAMMERED.
I felt like I was in "From Dusk Till Dawn" or something when we walked in. These people were NUTS. Like absolutely crazy, every single one of them.
I proceeded to have a few cheap drinks and hang out. Ended up singing Sweet Caroline, which everyone was a great sport and sung along to.
Some older guy in a suit was playing darts next to our table and literally fell back onto his ass while trying to throw a dart. A friend and I helped him up where he proceeded to tell us about one of his daughters was killed and the other was dying but that it was "OK, because now I got the ponies!! Those are my girls now!!"
My god, these are race junkies. That explained everything, they'd been drinking at the racetrack since 10am and came here to finish the night.
Aside from the dart Nazis that got upset with us for starting a game after the board was vacant for 30 minutes (apparently they were in the middle of a game?) and the terrible parking situation, I had a good time.
Would I come back? Sure, why not. Would I be the one to suggest it? Probably not.
Worth seeing once if you're on the dive tour.
People: It's pretty much a dive bar for the locals. I can tell most of the people are regulars. People are really friendly but the crowd is mainly in their 30's. Occasionally you see some younger groups. Bartenders are very attentive and nice.
Location: Parking is kinda difficult because it's double layered so if you're in the front slot, you run the risk of someone parking behind you. I'd try to find parking across the street if you can.
Overall you can tell overall there's a nice friendly vibe and everyone loves going all out on the karaoke machine. Drinks are super cheap, beers are 4-5 bucks. A good place to pregame as you bar hop. The place is pretty small and that includes the bathroom which is a very tight squeeze.
The bartender was super cool, drinks are strong, and prices are cheap BUT....I guess the place draws shady folks too.
I drop my bf's cell phone at the bar and someone ended texting me back that night but when I called to asked them to return it, they turned off the phone. Also, the place is super small and only has one small bathroom for the girls and the door doesn't completely close....hmmm. Some people could really sing, but the really bad singers linger in your ear since there's no place to run in such a tight place.
I wanted to like this place more, but I don't want to constantly check my belongings when I'm drinking (esp in a safe neighborhood like Arcadia).
I rather go to Al's Bar in San Gabriel for cheaper drinks and the folks there are neighborhood folks that would actually return your phone instead of trying to text the cute girls in your address book.
The Hundo. So many great memories. You never know what to expect here. Some nights its full of old drunk people. Some nights its a cougar den. Other nights it could be a hip young crowd. Man, sometimes its all of the above! How do all these people fit in this cramped little hole in the wall???
Great karaoke machine! Sing your heart out. Huge selection of songs and the mic makes you sound and feel like a superstar! Dart machine is fun but i hardly ever play because i suck. Ill spend money on scratchers instead lol.
If you like cheap drinks, then come on Tuesday and Thursday nights for $2 beers. But drinks are pretty cheap any day of the week compared to other places. You cant smoke inside anymore but there is an outside smoking area in the back. Its basically just a narrow ass walkway with bench seating and a counter.
Parking blows. You get double parked all the time so just expect it if you parking in front. Or just do what i do and park across the street in that dark residential area.
Here's something you should pay attention to. COPS ARE RAMPANT IN THESE PARTS! They literally park across the street and wait for people to leave so they can pull them over. So watch out! NO DUI's people!!!
The smell of cigarettes and sweat or urine was so off-putting that I wanted to walk out as soon as I walked in...and I did. Â
Kudos for free karaoke and supposedly stiff drinks but whatever that stench was, it did me in.  I can overlook a  lot of stuff but  I can't hold my breath the entire time I'm there.  Not gunna do it. Sorry, I won't be coming back.
It's a very nice bar where you can sing without being worry of how you do it. Everyone is friendly and make you feel at home. The bar tenders are very friendly and the drinks are cheap and good.
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays are $2.00 drinks. Â The sound system is very good. They have a great song selection even in Spanish, and the list is growing more and more.
So if you are a singer like I am and would like to have an awesome time among friends, this is the right place to go.
I'm an SGV local. I go to lotsa bars in the area and for some reason I've only been to this one once before. I came in on a Groupon on Saturday afternoon for a cold one. I ordered a Guinness and a Makers Mark on the rocks. Helen, our friendly bartender was very nice and gave me a killer hooked up drink! :)
I liked the bar, however, you get the occasional smell of horse shit, a random rude drunk and a lot of young people. Young people are great, but really, must you invite yourself into MY dart game?!
PROS: Ample parking, dart board, AMAZING bartender Helen.
CONS: NO FREAKING JUKE?! This is the very first bar that doesn't have a juke or some sort of satellite radio!!! boooooooooo!!!
I like going to dives. The fact that it's close to Santa Anita Park adds to its appeal. Therefore, every time I play at Santa Anita, I will plan on hanging out at this establishment for a few hours.
Drinks are always stiff here. Shots of hard alcohol aren't really shots... they are more like glasses of pure alcohol. Drinks are cheap, bartenders are super cool. The crowd is what you'd expect at a dive. No frills. Show up in your jeans and t shirt, hang out, have some booze, sing some karaoke and have fun.
This is now my watering hole when I visit the San Gabriel Valley.
This place is so legit!
Folks acting like they's the sh!t
Cheap drinks, loud music.
Go crazy all night!
When we drink we do it right
Gettin' slizzard... yeeeeaaah!
Some bros being loud.
Creepers surveying the crowd.
Weirdos in corners.
Watch out for crazies.
Weird, incoherent drunkies
Follow you around.
People playing darts
Want to know what's the best part?
FREE KARAOKE!
Belting out them tunes
And jumping around like goons
Singing them classics!
"I Waaaant It Thaaaat Waaaay"
"She's so lucky. Â She's a starrrrr"
"Bye bye bye. Â Bye bye!"
Screaming and yelling
... Not at all embarrassing
Everyone loved us! :)
Closing time... oh no!
Is it really time to go? :(
The fun goes bye bye.
A few months ago, 100 to 1 would probably have gotten 4 stars from me. Sure, the bartenders were nice, the karaoke is free and fun, but there was one problem... the karaoke jockey!!! Not naming names, but dang, this guy would always pick either himself, old time buddies of his that went, or anyone who was a girl. If you were a guy and didn't know him well, good luck singing. After a few times, I stopped going here... until I returned last Friday.
This place is definitely rocking now. The bartenders are still funny, friendly, and welcoming. Helen, one of the best bartenders I've ever met, now controls the karaoke machine, and she just lines 'em up as they come, no bias involved! So newcomers, old timers, everyone gets to sing their heart out!
One of the best things about this place is no one cares if you're bad. I sang, and got complimented, and I sing BAD haha. Just put in all you got, and that makes you awesome!
Drinks seem to be about $$.50 - $5, which isn't too bad. You can ask for recommendations and the bartenders are more than happy to mix something up for you.
The only thing I would wish for is a slightly more updated song list... from what I saw last Friday, they seem to only have songs up to 2004. Where's my Rise Against - Savior song to let me "Give It All"???
100 to 1 is a charming and humble K-Bar full of cowboys and older folks. Â I don't think they are creepy by any means, though. Â
They have karaoke nightly and no worries about being booed if you're bad :) Â no one cares, so no pressure for those of you who are shy to sing - get up there! Â They just upgraded their song list last week-ish, so there should be more up-to-date music. Â
Consistently stiff drinks for low prices - Average $4.50 a cocktail (top shelf!). Â The ladies behind the bar are friendly and sure can sing! Â
This place is generally a small one, so don't expect to have a seat guaranteed. Â Supposedly, it gets busiest on Thursday nights, with a slightly younger crowd, but it also busy on Fridays and Saturdays. Â
Parking is not conventional - you park behind the other cars and when someone needs to leave, they'll press pause on the music and announce "Anyone got a Black Civic?" You move your car, let the guy out, re-park and come back in. Â It may sound like a hassle, but I think it's nice that you can all be friends and kindly move your car for others without making a fuss. Â
We made quite a few rounds here in the last couple months - this place never disappoints. :)
Drinks are pretty cheap and VERY strong. Barb knows how to make a strong drink. The crowd is everything from old people to the people who were just waiting/bussing your table over at the Cheesecake factory and/or Dave & Busters. The karaoke here... is annoying about 90% of the time. Seriously ... annoying. However, every now and then you get a gem, some of the regulars surprisingly can sing. 2 of the older regulars there sang Piano Man and I actually got a new respect for the song.
The parking in front gets pretty scarce and fast. Go across the street and park over there, there is more than enough parking between in front and across the street. Also be careful Arcadia PD is always in that area, no drinking and driving, or being 19 w/ a fake (or without one) too often here cause you'll eventually get caught.
Drinks are usually $4-5, you can get a pitcher of beer here as well. Stop by and have some fun (earplugs may be a good idea some nights ;) )
Do I really need to review this?
Okay... here's the deal: I have had drinks all over the world. I even hit 15 in one night... but there is something about setting foot back in the Hundy that makes everything seem right.
Maybe it's the lovely bartenders, or the crazy old guys, or the crazy young guys... or Felix the fish (NEVER make fun of the fish!)... whatever it is... I do love this bar.
Of course, most of the time you can find me sitting at the end, drinking Stoli drivers or singing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" Dan Band style.
In fact, I'm headed there soon... see you there!
This is a Dive Bar
There is an extremely diverse crowd from everywhere here with different types and ages coming in and out. Â The beer selection isn't fantastic but the prices are reasonable and the hard drinks are stiff. Â You go to a dive for heavy stuff anyway.
The karaoke is always a blast even though their song list needs a major upgrade.
It can get loud, crowded, and sometimes creepy so bring a few friends along. Â Good times guaranteed though.
I'm a super fan of small little dive bars and I just found my new favorite one !!! 100 to 1 is the best ...
I mean where else can you get 4 rounds for 20 bucks, a drunk white man singing jingle bell rock , and a lady passed out on the floor ??
Great place, cheap strong drinks, good upbeat crowd, and karaoke ALL the time...
My only question is, how does that big fish survive in such a small tank ?
Okay so this past weekend I decided to hit up this place for some drinks because I was looking for a dive...and BOY was it!!!  Major dive...random people singing Karaoke in the bathroom (haha no not really) but they let you sing anywhere you may be with the mic. Drinks are SUPER cheap...$4.50 for a Jack on the rock?! Can't go wrong with that!  But yeah cheap drinks come with creepy crowd. Guy to girl ratio was about 5:2 and much of the older crowd. There was a guy swaying and slurring his words as he tried talking to me. It was interesting and funny at the same time...I was so tempted to push him with one of my finger and watch him fall...but I didn't  ^_^
We stayed for about an hour as my sister and I started to feel as if the guys were major "perching" and making it very uncomfortable. Mind you, we had 3 guys with us. So girls be aware and be safe! Save the drunkiness for somewhere else :)
I effin' LOOOOOOOOOVE this place! Â SUNDAY FUNDAYs were the main reasons why i started going there to begin with- karaoke and darts with the co-workers, cheap drinks, great bartenders, and new friends to make each time. Â Every time I go there now, there really isn't one friendly face that won't welcome me. Â Its either the bouncer himself, the bartenders, or just a bunch of regulars that you know will most likely be there. Â I'm not gonna lie though, its pretty "cozy," but I guess for some people that could work to their advantage *wink* but anyway..
"1oh 1" as most people call for short.. is the shiiiiiiieeett!! =)
the one hundred to one is the gem of the West San Gabriel Valley. located just adjacent to Santa Anita, the great race place, the "Hundy" features all the trappings of horse racing life in Arcadia. Three generations of my family members have been customers: I had my first legal drink at the Hundy just as i turned 21, some 28 years ago! Friendly staff, a cocktail to be proud of, and a solid following make the Hundy a winner every time! you must be 21 to enter, and have at least two and a half bucks on you. Â You will have a blast!
The Hundred features one of the best sound systems for karaoke anywhere, everyone sounds good there.
AWESOME!
Seriously, I love this place. Â It is so small, but so awesome. Â After the Monkey, Karaoke here might seem a little...low-tech...but who cares. Â Cheap drinks, friendly people, plenty of parking. Â
The drinks are always strong, the service is as good as it'll get. Â But I'll say this: this is a bar where being a regular is cool, but regulars are NOT intimidating! Â Sometimes, venturing into dive bars outside of your 'hood' is difficult and can mean a different type of service, but this isn't the case. Â It is so easy to have an awesome time here! Â Karaoke is super chill..just write the song down on anything (ANYTHING!) and hand it to the bartender!
I've only been here 2 or 3 times, but everytime was awesome, and I got SOOOOO wasted for like $15!
My friend loves this place. So one day I agree to accompany him. Â Boy did I have fun. Â Maybe it was because I was already full of Cape Cod's, but I like to think it was because everyone there was so friendly. Â While he socialized with the regulars and sang karoake, I planted myself at the bar and appreciated the strong cocktails and chatted with the people on each side of me.
By the end of the night, I was best friends with some stranger and assuring her she was WAAAYYY too good for her boyfriend who was off scamming on another chic. Â Thankfully, we left before I offered to go kick his ass..
