I'm writing a review from the perspective of two people, since I can't eat the pizza myself. Â My friend thought the pizza was good, although not as good as Miller Pizza further south on Lake Street. Â He had the 'special' which he thought was decent if a bit weird. Â The menu is not vegetarian friendly unless you like the basics (mushrooms, onions, peppers).
What is more off putting is the very racist attitude of the owners, which interferes with the vibe. Â We chatted with them while the pizza was being cooked, and they felt comfortable talking about how much the neighborhood 'gone downhill' because of the 'blacks'. Â Ugh. Â Normally I don't like to let personal issues like that get in the way of my reviews, but when it is so in your face (within a few minutes!) I think it has to be considered.
I would support the much more friendly (or private!) pizza place down the street instead.
