Murphy's was closed when I moved to Gary in 2009, but reopened in 2011. The food is OK, the beer selection is average, and the service is tolerable. All in all, Murphy's House of Pain Saloon is surprisingly mediocre. The pool table is probably Murphy's best feature. I love dive bars, but this place is definitely for regulars only.
